HAa: tapering Effexor and buspirone

I have been holding all december and plan to taper effexor xr within a week.

How can I change the signature if thats what the below is called?

HAa: tapering (Effexor and buspirone)?

 

I am now on Sertraline, Lyrica, Lamotrigin and oxabenz. So effexor and buspiron should be deleted and replaced. 

I want to write a detailed update on my journey for the last 6 years. 
And I would like to know where to write it and under what name. 
Any advise is appreciated.

I started my tapering journey in 2016. The meds I was on didn’t any affects beside the adverse effect.
It has been a chaotic time, and as I react to even the smallest changes, it has been a long journey just to get out of the two medications, I have been on since I was mid 20ties. I am now 65

I got hospitalized when I just was about to go to 0. I got suicidal, and I didn't trust myself not to act on the impulse to end my life.

At that time I would agree to anything, just to end my misery.

I was switched to sertralin and the last 8 beats was tapered to 0 over 8 weeks without any struggle.

Before I got inpatient, I started on Lyrica, and I wish I never did. I had a huge effect the first 2 month, and the none effect. But as I was tapering the old meds, I stayed on it, and now I am struggling tapering Lyrics.

I was on 300mg, and now I am on 59,4mg. In 2023 I reduced 10 mg, and It worked well until December 2023. Then hell broke loose. I fell and hit my head. All symptoms are mixed up and we don’t know if it is WD or it is the head injury that causes the state I am in.

I am on hold with Lyrica and is going to stay here for 3-6 months or more. 
The reason I started tapering Lyrica was because I got allergic to allmost all food and spices except meat and vegetables and I lost a lot of weight. And it didn’t have any effect.

Since we updosed

Febr 26 from 29,2x2 8am+6 pm I have been waking up at 2-3 am freezing and shivering, headache and very thirsty and first fallen asleep at 5am. When I wake up again around 8 I am all sweaty. I thought it was due to updosing or abstinence. 

Last night I took my temperature and it was 40,2 celsius.

Does it connect with updosing and perhaps too much? Or can you run high tp as WD?

The updose helped on the anxiety and depressive state but now this high tp during night.

40,2C is considered a "high fever", it is a medical condition that should be checked out by a doctor.

 

ADWD will cause night sweats and chills, but it should not produce a fever. What you describe is consistent with having a virus.

The weird thing is that it is only between 2-5am it occurs. And I am not feel sick during the day. Is that why you point at virus?

Not all can go under the hat of WA. It must just be a coincident that it started at the same time as i updosed.  I updosed Lyrica from 29,2mgx2 to 29,8+29,6mg Tuesday 28th and the updosing helped and I am at ease. 
I am going to hold for quite a while as these last two months have been terrifying.

 Tapering oxabenz.
I have been looking for Vodka 90% here in Denmark as I would like to start tapering oxabenz.

It is not available. I can buy ethanol 96%. But how much do I need to dissolve 7,5mg oxabenz?
I read your info where you write that one can use 0,25ml vodka 90% pr 1 mg. And then add up with water till I get 1mg/ml. 

If it were 90 % vodka I would need 1,875ml and then water till 7,5ml.

 

How do I do it with 96% ethanol?  Sincerely HAa

@brassmonkey I had a lung infection. Thanks for your advise. I saw my GP and got treaded with antibiotic. (Tetracycline)
I’ll wait for a couple of weeks before starting tapering oxabenz as the antibiotic I got can influence on the two of the meds I take. (sertralin and lyrica)

Good idea to wait before you start to taper.

 

You could use half as much of the stronger alcohol. But it is a very small amount to work with. Just using the same amount as the vodka would work fine.

I’ll wait to see how the coming weeks are going. 
When I start, I think, I’ll start by removing 10% of one tbl 7,5mg instead of removing 10% of 7,5 mg x3 

So it will be 6,75mg + 7,5+ 7,5mg. Just to see if I get WD on this reduction. (3,33%). 
What do you think, and how to proceed if it goes fine? Should I then try 5%?

Removing 10% of just one tablet would be a good place to start. Then see how it goes for a month.
