Hi Snowyowl16,

I think the thing about poop out is that it may stay about the same, regardless of tapering.......AND should not result in one wanting to up their dose, as that wouldn't do much for it.  The drug has essentially pooped out is my take.

So, you might actually be feeling a bit of WD from the taper dose change.

Do be sure to eat at regular intervals.  I think more of us get into problems, those of us who do lose our appetites in WD, from hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar.  Best to get frequent feedings in, good protein, some carbs(or the ones you tolerate) and some of the good fats as well.

Are you on Omega 3's/fish oil at this point?  They can be great for stabilization of the brain and nervous system.

King of supplements: Omega-3 fatty acids(fish oil)

Kind of a delayed response to your post, so do let us know how you are doing now, today or soon.

How much did you taper by this taper, in %?

And best for you and your holiday season.

Hi Many more today's, Thanks for the response. Yes, I still feel good. I definitely get in to trouble with my diet between the nausea and lack of appetite. I do not really eat meat, just occasional chicken. I can't tolerate beans or many veggies because of my IBS. That leaves carbs. Fish oil gives me gas and cramps. I did take krill oil at one point and tolerated it. I struggle to get enough protein.

The decrease dose I made was less than 10% at 0.2 mg of a 5 mg dose (4%). I will drop another 0.2 mg in a week or 2. I am getting my covid booster this week so want to wait until after that to reduce again.

The fact that I most likely have poop out encourages me to continue to taper even if it is very slowly.

Thanks again for following me and the response.

I'm not a big meat eater either. I eat a lot of chicken. But I do eat cheese, yogurt with fruit, things like that. Can you tolerate cheese and yogurt? I ate fruit throughout my wd and crackers with peanut butter. Just some suggestions.

Glad things are looking up for you though.

Take care,

Frogie xx

Thanks Frogie. Yes I can eat cheese. I sometimes take lactaid with it if I have too much. Yogurt or peanut butter not so much. I eat couscous with pumpkin seeds for fiber and protein. GI issues seem to have gotten worse. I used to eat yogurt daily.

Hope all is well with you.

Hopefully you'll find something that agrees with you and you can get some protein. Try almond butter maybe? It's gentler on the tummy😊

Well I haven't been here for a while. I am currently on 4 mg of citalopram where I have been for almost a year. I was feeling good and working less so tried to reduce by a tiny amount (0.1mg) and had one of my adrenaline flushes with nausea etc tonight. I am seriously thinking I may be on this medication for the rest of my life. Hand tremors are worsening. I am not sure if they were caused by the citalopram or not but I am sure it's not helping. Anyway, thinking of all of you on this horrible journey and wishing you all calmness and healing.
