SickOfIt
I wanted to provide an update on my situation. I recently discontinued taking Prozac and my psychiatrist is trying to prescribe me additional medications. However, I recently tried Luvox but experienced gastrointestinal problems, so I stopped using it. I feel that it's best to give my body a break and stick with my current low-dose regimen of clonazepam (0.5) and Remeron (15) for now, with the goal of eventually reducing my clonazepam usage. What are your thoughts on this? Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted February 28, 2023 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted February 28, 2023 Thanks, @SickOfIt. In January, you stopped Prozac at 10 mg and in February, you stopped Luvox at 50 mg (after doubling the 25 mg douse in January). What are your thoughts on this? You may want to hold for several months before making any changes. Continuing to add and drop drugs may kindle your nervous system. Please see: Hypersensitivity and Kindling While you're holding, now would be a really good time to bring in some non-drug coping techniques and master them so you don't continue the polydrugging merry-go-round. Continuing to abruptly add and subtract drugs may crash your nervous system, SickOfit. Non-drug techniques to cope with emotional symptoms Link to comment
