Nice neuro emotions would be SO nice, Carmie.  Im with you on that!  Hope you had some special moments today!  Thinking of you!  💜

Yeah Rabe, how cool would it be if we did get positive neuro emotions.

Hope you’re coping okay today? I didn’t get up to much, been in bed mainly with the occasional getting up to do some housework. Am crocheting a blanket in blue, a shade of blue that reminds me of the ocean. Isn’t water the most amazing thing? Whether it’s the beach, a lake, a creek, a river, the rain, I love the sound of water ( a lot of the time when I type water autocorrect changes it to Walter???🤔I don’t even know a Walter😂

Well I might watch some DVDs now, my favourite show of all time is Gilmore Girls and I’ve watched it a million n one times. Love all the quirky characters n the scenery. I want to live in Stars Hollow!😜

Sending hugs to you Rabe🤗

Well, everyone has its own favorites😉😉😉

Hey Jozeff,

😂 Did you see on YouTube Direstraits’ Sultans Of Swing has over 119 million views!

I’m just putting together another play list which I’m calling WALLOW, it’s for the time I’m miserable n music understands me. Some of the songs are still a bit upbeat though.

This is the list list so far but I’ll be adding more:

Fix You - Coldplay.

The Scientist -Coldplay.

Pieces - Rob Thomas.

Her Diamonds - Rob Thomas.

The Sound Of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel.

Old Friends - Simon and Garfunkel.

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol.

You’re Not There - Lucas Graham.

Stressed Out - Twenty One Pilots.

Car Radio - Twenty One Pilots.

Quicksand - Tom Chaplin.

The Wave - Tom Chaplin.

Hardened Heart - Tom Chaplin.

Spiralling - Keane.

Bedshaped - Keane.

Bad Day - Daniel Powter.

I lived - One Republic.

Help - The Beatles.

Better Days - Pete Murray.

Flight - Lighthouse.

Bleeding Out - Imagine Dragons.

I’m so sorry - Imagine Dragons.

I’ll keep adding to it. I remember reading somewhere that music featuring  struggling etc helps you when you’re down. You can identify with it. I’ve played many of these songs through the darkest of waves.

Can you tell I like Keane n Tom Chaplin?😁 Keane aren’t together anymore n even though Tom Chaplin still performs he never comes to Australia 😪. I’ve seen a number of the singers mentioned here: Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pete Murray, Lifehouse, Twenty One Pilots and Rob Thomas. I’ve actually seen Rob Thomas three times, twice with Matchbox Twenty, he never disappoints.

Know any sad Direstraits songs I can add to my WALLOW playlist 😁

Take care n thanks for dropping by💚

Hi,.good stuff!

We went to Coldplay when they were getting bigger than big in 2009 in the park in Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Warm evening, 60.000 people, my girlfriend ( now wife)..... unforgettable evening.

Yes, sultans of swings, one of my all-time favorites. Have seen mark Knopfler 5 or 6 times. He's getting a bit dull to be honest so the last 5 years I've been skipping him

Thanks for your reply tou subject btw. Very much appreciated. Now I'm at work so I'll come back to your response later ok?

Cheers

Hi QA,

😂Better safe than sorry though. Please be careful with your tapering as you may pay for it down the track.  Make sure you don’t jump off too early when you’re on low doses either.

Thanks guys,

Hope you’re all coping the best you can. Just remember to Distract! Distract! Distract! when you’re in waves and to make some happy memories to look back on when you’re in windows. If you make happy memories they put some positivity in our brains n help us to see that we will get more windows in the future n can have more happy times.

I hope you’ve all found good distractions. Even if you can’t feel the joy in them, do them anyway!

Take care💚

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all finding good coping strategies and distractions. Those neuro-emotions are something else, aren’t they?

I don’t usually get angry, I’m not an angry person in general. I do get neuro-sadness though. Any of our emotions can be heightened due to withdrawals. I feel sad about all the people going through withdrawals, I feel sad about my friends going through problems too, I feel sad because of what I’m going through with withdrawals and my illness that limits what I can do,  and the list goes on.

I also get a kind of happy sadness, if you know what I mean. That happens because when I’m in a wave, like right now, and my friends keep contacting me n encouraging me it makes me want to cry. They stick to me like glue, I’m really blessed. When I’m too ill to do things and I have to say no it still doesn’t deter them from continuing to ask me. Well, I guess that really is what true friendship is all about

When im in a window I’m fine, I feel happy,  but in waves my sadness sometimes overwhelms me. Ahhhhhh, the world of neuro-emotions!!!!

Hang in there everyone, sending hugs🤗💚

Hi Rabe and RealMe,

Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated.

My brain has been in outer space lately. It’s a wonder I’ve managed to do anything. It’s a miracle I actually get my smoothies made. I love having smoothies as treats, they’re yummy with coconut water. You wouldn’t believe it, three times this week I tried to start the Nutribullet without having it plugged in! We do have this new spangled invention called electricity that makes the cogs turn😁. I have to try n remember that!

Not only that, twice when I went to grab it I grabbed the steamer instead, and once I even started putting water in the steamer before I remembered I’m making a smoothie! I use the steamer a lot too, but I’m afraid one can’t make smoothies in it. I think it’s time to give up feeding myself, it’s too confusing🤣.

Sunday morning I spent with friends which was lovely, lots of hugs, laughter, encouragement n photo opportunities. I’m a big hugger, I hug everyone in sight. Watch out, here I come!

Yesterday afternoon I was in so much pain, my stomach was inflamed by something. I ended up googling gastritis n natural remedies n one of them was drink a glass of really icy water with two teaspoons of sugar in it. I don’t put sugar in any of my drinks but I really needed to do something n you wouldn’t believe it, it worked! Within ten to fifteen minutes the pain was gone. I drank a couple of glasses of really icy water with tons of ice cubes. Amazing how it helped. Everyone is different so I don’t know if it will help others but it certainly helped me.

My wrist has been sore for days. I’m going to have to give up crocheting for now, maybe I’m getting R.S.I. from overuse? Who knows? I did get hit by a car years ago n pretty much fractured n broke things from head to toe on my right side, plus fractured my pelvis. Was in hospital for three months. Maybe it’s from that? One of my friends just sent me two colouring books with nature themes, she knows me well, but I won’t be able to colour in at the moment because of my wrist. It’s not severe pain but I don’t want it to get worse.

Hope you two are coping okay, sending hugs🤗

Thanks for your kind words Rosetta,

Yes, and I know who would have thought that would have worked for the intense pain I had? I very rarely get gastritis but it was so bad and that fixed it within ten minutes or so. I was surprised as I didn’t know if it would work or not. I just googled natural remedies. I don’t know if it will work again but I’m glad it worked on Sunday.

I remember once years ago I ended up with such severe stomach pain from an anti-inflammatory. Quite a paradoxical effect, instead of getting rid of inflammation it ended up causing inflammation and such horrendous pain that I ended up in hospital. I’m pretty scared to take any medication now.

I hope you coped okay today. I didn’t have a lot of strength but enough to get out a bit. I got a bus to the City n got some dvds from the library, had some lunch out and sent cards to friends. I wrote a whole heap of cards n put happy, yellow smiley face balloons in them. A friend of mine actually made the cards, she’s very ill and she finds it good therapy. She’s even been sending them to some of my other friends. She lives in a different State so I don’t get to catch up with her in person. Last year though I flew down for my niece’s wedding n caught up with her. Or was that the year before? No memory.😁

Well, it’s almost beddy byes for me, Just going to have a herbal tea and do a couple of little things.

Good night and take care. Zzzzzz💚

Just documenting. It’s day 86 since I changed to compounding capsules and day 29 since the accidental double dose.

I’m in a bad wave at the moment. Struggling with cognitive function n can barely move (that’s due to CFS as well). Looks like a day in bed. Can’t wait until my brain power comes back again, even a little. Calling my brain, please come back down to earth!🌏

Caught up with friends last night but I had to lie down. My bed seems to love me today, won’t let me go.🛏😁

Hang in there everyone 💚

Carmie Im sorry you are struggling with those capsules.  Truth is I dont think I ever would have stabilized on the ones I had because of the variations.  Are you able to go back to a tablet?  Or get more of the capsules in smaller amounts for your doses...I did better with that.  Know that I am thinking about your!

Take care!💜

Thanks guys for dropping by,

I’m in a big wave n not too functional. I’ve been watching lots of craft videos n just trying to distract myself.

It’s tough but I know there will be an end to this wave.

And yes Rabe, I am planning to go back to the original tablet once I stabilise, it’s just taking a while.

Sending hugs to you all🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hi Carmie, sorry I've been rather remiss and not keeping up with your topic updates.  I'm sorry to see you're in a bad wave, I hope you get improvement soon.  You've had symptoms for quite a while now - do you think that the new formulation could be a problem, or do you think it's just instability from the change over that should settle down eventually?

Hi Songbird,

I’ve been wondering that myself, though I did accidentally double dose a number of weeks ago which didn’t help. I’m in a really bad state n can’t even imagine changing anything at the moment.

I might wait until the end of the year and if I haven’t stabilised by then it might be the formula. I might then do a slow cross taper back to the original tablets. I want to go back to them anyway after I found out compounding capsules aren’t always that accurate. I’m really sensitive to every drop so I have to make sure the measurements are accurate.

I’m concerned if I haven’t stabilised at the end of the year and I do the slow cross taper the symptoms will ramp up even more, but if I can’t stabilise on this formula I don’t really have a choice anyway.

Thanks again for your kindness in dropping by. I’m struggling to read. I’m distracting myself by making bookmarks with thin wood, painting and writing on them n drilling holes to add ribbon or twine. I’ll probably end up putting beads etc on the ends of the next batch, I just don’t have any at home at the moment.

Take care💚

Just wanted to share a thought before I go to bed,

I’m on the verge of tears. The waves have been so bad, but at least I haven’t gotten to the point of feeling like I’m being electrocuted.

Tonight I feel like I just want to crawl into a hole. It’s so horrible as I’m such a positive person by nature. What these meds do to us is horrendous. I know we will all get there in the end but when we’re in waves it feels like it’s never going to end.

I’ve been wanting to visit people on their threads but I’m struggling to think.

I’m soooooooo sorry you are all going through this, it breaks my heart.

Good nite from Australia 💚💚💚

Hi Carmie,

We all hope you will wake up in a positive mood! I'm in the Netherlands where it's afternoon and I'm thinking about you and reading your post right now while you are sleeping.

It doesn't matter you're not in the mood to visit other peoples posts. Sometimes I write stuff on this site for 2 hours straight. Other times I want to throw my cellphone through the window and hope everyone f.... off because I'm so desperate.

Sending healing thoughts to you on the other side of the globe😉

Thanks @Gridley  @jozeff  @Sheera for dropping by,

I’m really struggling to read at the moment. I’m just keeping myself distracted during this big wave I seem to be going through. My motto is always Distract! Distract! Distract! when in waves. I’m watching music DVDs at the moment, I finished another diamond painting today n I have been making bookmarks with the jumbo wooden popsicle sticks you can buy. So far I’ve drilled holes in them, I’m quite a handyman🔨🔧🤣, and I’ve painted them. I think I’ve painted myself n the bedsheets too! All that’s  left is to write on them n decorate them when my brain lets me.

Okay, it’s back to a music DVD, Sending hugs🤗🤗🤗

Thanks for the hugs Songbird,

Right back at you. I’ve been listening to music to distract myself. I’ve just been listening to Don McLean’s Vincent. It’s so beautiful. I think it’s going to go into my WALLOW song list.  I’ve also been listening to Simon n Garfunkel. I have their concert in Central Park on DVD. One of my favourite concerts on DVD EVER. I’ve played it a million times.

I went to see the Simon n Garfunkel Story at a  theatre a couple of years ago. Two AMAZING singers sung Simon n Garfunkel songs. Standing ovation material! They got standing ovations wherever they went, I highly recommend it if they ever come your way.

The other theatre production that I really, really love was The Play That Goes Wrong. It was HILARIOUS!!! My jaw was so sore at the end of the night as I couldn’t stop laughing. That night I was so upset because I’d had a burning mouth for ages n thought it was permanent. Little did I know it was part of withdrawals. I was in tears in the car on the way there but that play was soooo funny. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as funny. My friend in another State saw it twice.

Good night💚

I am so sorry Carmie, hope you feel better soon! 🧡 Being in bad waves ain't easy at all, but you'll get through it. listening to music is a great distraction, i'm happy you're able to do that, i do that myself too, also the painting and crafts sounds great. Wishing you all the best. 😊

2010 - 2015: 50mg Sertraline, 30mg Mirtazapine.

2015 - 2016: Last dose Mirtazapine 28.11.2015 and Sertraline 04.01.2016. (6 months taper)

2016/June: 6 months off. Feeling better but a lot of symptoms, name one and i have it.

2016/Dec: 12 months off. Hit a very bad wave, can't function at this moment, isolate and many intense symptoms. Very intense heart palpitations and very intense anxiety.

2017/June: 18 months off. Things are better, experiencing a lot of flashbacks, walking everyday.

2017/Nov: Things have finally started to improve and i'm now much better than a year ago, starting to feel a lot of improvements, but still symptoms that come in waves and windows.

2018/June: Feeling better. Starting to do some normal things again, but still some improvements needed. All symptoms still there, just less intense.

2018/Oct: Almost 3 years off. Symptoms are milder and more manageable, but lots of anger issues at the moment. Still some depersonalization etc. Heart palpitations almost gone. There's hope.

2021/april: 5 years and 3 months off. Symptoms less intense, but still struggling, still not able to socialize much, very tired, i just want to feel normal again. In a tough and awful wave.

Hi GirlfromD,

Thank you so much for dropping by. I really appreciate it. Another bad day today, but I’m keeping myself distracted with my crafts. I’ve started another diamond painting of a really cute owl with a scarf n beanie, it makes me smile. I’m also making more wooden bookmarks for my friends. I love the natural jute string n that’s what I’m tying onto them. I’m really a nature person n everything natural catches my eye.

My sister has a wood burner which we played around with when I was at her place a while ago. I don’t know what we did but we kind of killed it when we were using it😆. Someone fixed it for us though so maybe next time I go down the Coast I can do some wood burning on the wooden bookmarks.

Sendng much love 💚💚
