Hi everyone,

I’m really struggling to think but if you love music check out the Shotgun lyrics video by George Ezra on YouTube. I can’t help  but smile when I watch it. It’s had  over 111million views. The other video that makes me smile is High Hopes by Panic At The Disco.

Music is AMAZING!!!!🎹🥁🎤🎧🎷🎼🎺🎸🎻😍💚

I’m off to bed in a sec but I’ve been watching YouTube videos that make me smile while going through these horrific waves,

If you’re a Star Wars fan like me check out Weird Ol’ Yankovic’s video on YouTube entitled The Saga Continues. It always make me smile. It’s sung to the music of American Pie by Don McLean: “ My, my, This here Anakin guy, could be Vader some day later  now he’s just a small fry. He left his home n kissed his mummy goodbye, saying soon I’m gonna be a Jedi, soon I’m gonna be a Jedi.”😂

I keep having to watch things that amuse me when I’m in bad waves.

Good nite one n all💚💚

Thanks for the hugs n love Rabe,

Hope you’re coping okay. I’ve been entertaining myself with YouTube. I don’t know if you’re a Star Wars fan but if you are check out the video above as it always brings a smile to my face.

Good nite n thanks for dropping by💚💚

Just documenting: It’s nearly 4 a.m. I’ve been awake since around 2 a.m. Waves are really bad tonight, I can’t settle, I have akathisia, the shakes n a real restlessness.

It’s taking forever to stabilise on these compounded tablets. I did accidentally double dose one night over a month ago too.

I really want to be back on the original tablets but can’t do so until I stabilise. Will I stabilise on this compounded formula is the question though?

I’ve put on my fairy lights in the bedroom as it gives it a nice, comforting warm glow. I’m struggling to concentrate on anything so I’ll see if I can close me eyes n try n settle as best I can. It’s not easy.

Here’s to trying to somehow settle💚

Hi GirlfromD,

Thank you so much for dropping by. I really appreciate it. Another bad day today, but I’m keeping myself distracted with my crafts. I’ve started another diamond painting of a really cute owl with a scarf n beanie, it makes me smile. I’m also making more wooden bookmarks for my friends. I love the natural jute string n that’s what I’m tying onto them. I’m really a nature person n everything natural catches my eye.

My sister has a wood burner which we played around with when I was at her place a while ago. I don’t know what we did but we kind of killed it when we were using it😆. Someone fixed it for us though so maybe next time I go down the Coast I can do some wood burning on the wooden bookmarks.

Sendng much love 💚💚

That sounds amazing Carmie! and the good days could be just around the corner ☺️ You kind of inspired me to try something creative, maybe paint or draw or something like that, i will give it a try, i love being creative too, i love nature too so much, nature is the most beautiful thing.

Today i also spend some time with my sister, it's so lovely being able to spend time with family, for a long time that was so difficult for me.

Haha that wooden burner sounds amazing, love the smell of those, especially when they hit the wood, smells fantastic, glad it got fixed again 😁

I'm sorry you're having trouble sleeping, i find that guided meditations help me a lot on those sleepless nights, i listen a lot to someone called "Michael Sealey" on youtube, hope you're able to sleep and settle very soon again.

All the best

Hi @GirlfromD

Yes, definitely get into different arts n crafts. It’s an amazing distraction when going through withdrawals. A friend of mine just showed me a drawing she did with water colour pencils n she hasn’t really done anything much like that before. It was great, maybe I’ll give that a go too. If I don’t like what I draw I’ll just try again.

We learn from our mistakes n not so great art pieces👩‍🎨🖼😁

I usually sleep fine because the Seroquel makes me sleep but the waves were so severe last night that they woke me.

I haven’t been able to get out of bed as yet. I might do some more of those bookmarks in a minute. I might watch some DVDs too,  I’ve been watching Death In Paradise. The scenery is so beautiful in that series. It always makes me want to move there. Ah, to live on a tropical island surrounded by beach. My dream!🌴🌊

Take care n thanks for dropping by💚

Sleep well Princess.  I'm digging into lights a bit today as well.  And oh......you guessed it.......Spring Cleaning commences!

Soon.

Me too.  But then......for me.......sometimes.........there's no place like home.  And that's in my heart.  That being said......I'm longing for a fairly deserted beach in the sunshine right about now.

Healing will come.  Let it happen.

Love, peace, healing, and growth,

Really, it's just the usual teas today.  I think it must be in the honey. B)❤️

Thanks for dropping by MMT,

Hope you have fun with your spring cleaning.

Withdrawals are so bad at the moment. It’s been over three months since I changed to compounding n I haven’t stabilised as yet. I did accidentally double dose a month or so though.

I hope I eventually stabilise on this formula, but if I don’t I won’t have a choice but to slowly cross taper to my original tablet even if I’m not stable. Scary thought! I don’t know if it’s the actual formula that has put me in waves or it’s just the usual withdrawals that we get with tapering or changing to a different formula.

I need to figure out the math for the cross taper when I eventually do it. I usually use 20ml of water with a 25mg tablet n I’m down

to  7.5mg which is 6ml. Each ml is 1.25mg.

As regards the tablet part of the cross taper which I really want to go back to again, the first one will be 1.5ml of the tablet, which is a quarter of the 7.5mg.

Next, is 3ml of the tablet, which is half.

Then 4.5ml, which is three quarters.

Then it’s over to just the tablet.

As regards the capsule I’m using at the moment, it’s a 7.5mg capsule. I’m going to put that in 20ml of water too when I cross taper.

Could you please check if this is correct. Maths isn’t my forte, though by some miraculous event I have managed to get myself down to 7.5mg from 300mg.

If I put the 7.5mg capsule in 20ml of water, to start of with three quarters off course would be 15ml, half would be 10ml and a quarter would be 5ml. Is my malfunctioning brain calculating all of this correctly? 😃

I hope you have a lovely day MMT and enjoy your tea and honey🍯💚💚

Happy to take a further look Carmie.

What are we looking at as far as the time frame left with your capsules goes?

And then do you have tablets available?

I'll pop back within 24 hours or so.  So get some sleep too, if you can right now.

((((Carmie)))))

can I call you Carmie baby for a bit, or baby Carmie?........one of our newest mods!!!

So okay......I'm then the preschooler of sorts now......  ❤️

Hi MMT,

No hurry at all. I think I have the calculations right but just wanted to get a second opinion. I’ve got capsules for a couple of months still n I’ve already got a script for 60 days of the tablet.

I’m wondering if I haven’t stabilised by the end of December that it might be a formula problem n I’ll have to cross - taper slowly over to the tablets. Instead of doing each cross-taper for four days I thought I might stick to a week or so instead.

So the first week will be 1.5ml of the water titrated tablet and 15ml of the water titrated capsule.

Just having some kind of plan in my mind will be good. I feel like I’ve been stuck for months since going onto the compounding formula. I’ve gone backwards because at the time I went on the compounding formula I didn’t realise compounding formulas aren’t all that accurate. Even the best of compounding pharmacies can be three percent off.

So far I’ve gone through over three months of withdrawals without accomplishing anything.

I really want to go back to the tablets as they’re more accurate. After Brassmonkey brought this to my attention a little while ago I think it’s the best thing for me in the long run, especially when I get down to the teeny tiny doses. I really want them to be accurate. My body is so sensitive to any change after all the meds doctors have put me on n off.

I can’t sleep during the day, my nervous system won’t let me. Hope you have a lovely day.

Carmie baby is fine👶🏻😂. So if you’re the preschooler do I call you toddler?😂

Take care, sending hugs🤗

Well I somehow survived another day riding a wave but the day is not quite over yet,

It’s 5pm n I’ve been stuck in bed all day. I have spent quite a bit of time on SA as my brain actually worked a bit. Yay!! I haven’t had a brain for days, it’s been floating somewhere in the galaxy.

Speaking of galaxies I think it’s time to do some Star Trek marathons again. Do I choose Star Trek Voyager or The Next Generation?? I love them both, so hard deciding. Is it Picard or Janeway? Decisions! Decisions! Decisions! I find sci fi good in withdrawals. It’s great escapism. I must do a Star Wars marathon again too.

Hang in there everyone💚💚💚

I hope your brain continues to work.  I had bad brain fog for a while, but it's been a little better lately.  I still find it hard to focus on anything very difficult (like maths problems).  Keep looking after yourself, and I hope things ease off for you soon.

Hi Direstraits,

Thanks for popping in. I won’t go into details but I ended up spending most of the morning trying to fix up technological problems. Someone tried to hack into my phone and I’m not really all that technologically minded. I only use my phone for smsing n the occasional phone call. I do everything else on my iPad. Anyway, that pretty much took all my brain power for most of the day.

I’m so sorry you’re not doing so great. I’m actually getting a few windows today. Yay!! About time!😁 Let’s see what tomorrow brings. If I haven’t stabilised by the end of the year I’m going to do a cross-taper back to the original tablets anyway as I think the formula may be the problem then. I will do the cross-taper slowly though. I can’t wait to get back to the original tablets because then I’ll feel like I’ve got some forward movement happening again.

I started doing some more of the cute diamond painting with the owl wearing a beanie n a scarf first thing this morning. It makes me go “Awwww” when I look at it. I received another diamond painting yesterday, so after I finish this one I’m all set for the next one.

I’m going to watch DVDs now. Hope you’re finding some good distractions.

Take care and remember that it’s one day closer to recovery💚

Thanks Rabe,

Actually that surfboard idea is great. I just went onto eBay n they’ve got teeny tiny wooden surfboards one can paint. Look what you’ve done! Now I’ve got another art project to add to the millions of projects I want to do.😂

I’m going to try my hand at watercolours too. A friend of mine rang me yesterday n she said we could get together n experiment with watercolours. She showed me a lovely picture she did with watercolour pencils.

It was so funny though as she had these pencils for ages but didn’t know how to use them. She went on YouTube n figured it out recently. She was dipping the pencils in water n wondering why it wasn’t giving her the effect she wanted. You have to draw with them n then use a paintbrush with water n paint over them. I’m imagining her dipping the pencils in water n wondering why on earth aren’t they working?? It makes me laugh thinking about it.🤣 I wouldn’t have been any help, I haven’t used them either.

The other thing that made me laugh yesterday too is she said when I come around to do watercolour painting she’s going to play me some songs on the piano. Again, I couldn’t stop laughing. It wasn’t because of the painting n piano playing as I would absolutely love that. The thing was, my mind went straight to Jane Austen.🤣

I’m laughing about it now while I’m typing this. I can imagine us painting n listening to the piano forte, all we need is some embroidery and the long gowns they wore in that century n we will be in an Austen novel.🤣

I was in such a bad wave yesterday n my friend cheered me up so much. I was in hysterical laughter. Here’s to all our wonderful friends who keep us going in these perilous time, and to enjoying a good belly laugh occasionally.

Take care💚

Hi Songbird,

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I’m looking after myself. I’ve been in bed pretty much all day but I was comfy with the aircon on. It was quite warm n windy today. I just had a bit of drama as I mentioned above.

I’m still smiling n thinking about my friend n I doing watercolour painting one day n her playing the piano, as I said to Rabe. My mind keeps conjuring up us being in an Austen novel.🤣 I must get something to embroider n we will be all set. We just need Darcy, Wickham, Bingley, Collins, Elizabeth, Jane, Wentworth, Anne, Emma n the rest of the gang. We might as well include characters from all the novels.

I’m sorry you’ve had brain fog. I’ve had brain fog 24/7 for about 24 years due to CFS. It’s always there, so is depersonalisation. I never feel like I’m really here. Sometimes I can think through the fog n at other times the fog is so thick that I forget what I had planned to do a minute ago n I constantly lose things all day long. I laugh now at the silly things I do all day long. I can’t change it so I’ve learnt to live with it.

Well at least today I had a few windows, that was a major blessing. It’s a day at a time, an hour at a time, a minute at a time. We never know what’s around the corner, we don’t even know how we will feel an hour from now.

I’ve just been watching lala land, I saw it when it came out at the movies. It’s okay, but I don’t love it. It’s definitely no Singing In The Rain or An American In Paris. Love Gene Kelly and also Fred Astaire. Now, they can dance!💃 I actually saw a live theatre production of Singing In The Rain. The people in the first few rows were given raincoats as they were all getting wet.💦 I wanted to get wet but I couldn’t afford the front row.☹️

Last night I started watching Star Trek again, I’m going to do a marathon again soon. I opted for Star Trek Voyager, but once I’ve gone through that I’ll go to The Next Generation. Love my Star Trek. Yep, I’m a nerd!😜

I have so many, many, many distractions to help me get through this horror we call withdrawals. I hope you’re finding some good distractions too.

Good night Songbird Zzzzzzz💚

Just documenting: Today is day 93 since changing to compounded capsules and day 36 since the accidental double dose.

I still haven’t stabilised, though I’ve had some windows again today. Yay! Those breakthrough windows feel amazing!

I’m going to change back to water titrating tablets at the end of the year even if I haven’t stabilised, as then the problem is probably the compounding formula itself anyway. I’m going to do a slow cross- taper back to the tablets.

Bad brain fog today, can’t read much. I’m watching the DVDs I got from the library a while ago. Want to watch them before I have to take them back. Also doing a bit of the cute diamond painting I have at the moment.

Have been in bed all day, nothing new.

Well, it’s back to my DVDs. Tonight I might watch some Star Trek on Netflix. I don’t own Star Trek on DVD, I must buy the DVDs when I can afford them. There are a million of them. I used to always get the DVDs from the Blockbuster video store in the past. Well the video stores are now old relics!

Live long n prosper! 🤣😜💚💚💚

P.s. I just realised they had a Star Trek emoji, well that’s made my day🖖

Hi Carmie! Your posts telling us about your friends, arts and crafting makes me so happy to read. Makes me smile. I've been painting with oil a lot lately, if you've never tried it I can recommend. It's one thing that gets me through my waves too. It's strange to say but sometimes I find I create better art when I'm down. Maybe because feelings are more intense. Something positive in a very negative situation, I suppose.

I'm very sorry to hear that you've had a lot of waves lately, hopefully Star Trek can be a good escape for you, I agree that sci-fi is a great escape when we need it. Really hope you will feel better soon. Take care, and lots of hugs to you.

Hi Sunnyday,

Thanks for dropping by, nice to hear from you. I’m glad I’m keeping you entertained.😂

I haven’t been able to get out of bed yet again today. I really hope I get some strength later on as I want to go out n get some craft stuff. Thanks for the recommendation about the oil painting. I’ve never done it before, I’ve mainly dabbled in acrylics.

As regards your art being better when you’re feeling down, a long of songwriters seem to find more inspiration when they’re down n out too, as well as other artists. Some of the best songs come from people’s sadness. When my brain fog is really thick I struggle to think through it.

I’m struggling to think at the moment due to brain fog, but that may change throughout the day. Maybe not. Who knows? I’ve been watching DVDs this morning as I haven’t been able to focus on anything else much. I’m going to watch Fly Away Home now. You may have seen it, I’ve never seen it. It’s based on a true story about a fourteen year old girl who helps a family of orphaned geese who are lost to get back home. It looks really cute.

Nature n animals I find are amazing too when going through withdrawals. Can’t wait until I’m mobile again so I can go out. In the meantime I have my cat n a million birds that come to feed on the balcony every day. I only have two big trees on my balcony, I must get some more plants for out there. Let’s hope I don’t kill them.😃

Take care n have fun with your oil paintings. Yes art n crafts can be the most amazing distraction when going through withdrawals, as well Dvds and Netflix. I’m still getting through a bunch of DVDs I got from the library. After that I’m going to do some Star Trek marathons. Bring on the popcorn!🍿 Well, I don’t actually eat popcorn as I don’t usually eat any grains. I make rare exceptions when I’m out n about though, especially as I love sushi. I never eat gluten.

I’ve got a whole season of Murdoch Mysteries from the library to get through as well. Seeing I’m stuck in bed so much I don’t think that will take long. I love how they keep throwing in new inventions in that show, things that we take so for granted now.

Anyway, it looks like another day of Distractions! Distractions! Distractions! Definitely my motto. I’m an expert!😜

Take care, Hope you’re doing okay💚

Hi Gridley n Miracle,

Thanks for dropping by. Hope you’re both coping okay today. I managed to get out of bed n go to the craft shop. Yay! When I got home it was straight onto my bed again. Plonk!😄

At least my bedroom is cosy n I have my TV and DVD player in there as well. The movie Fly Away Home was soooo cute. All the little geese following the young girl wherever she went. Awwww!

I don’t watch TV, I don’t like it. It gives me a restless energy. I only watch Netflix, DVDs or YouTube.

I have battery operated fairy lights which makes the bedroom a delight too, plus a ton of artwork, positive sayings etc on my “happy wall”. Just as well I love my bedroom because it seems to have me captured a lot lately. Oh, yes, and I have aircon in my bedroom which one definitely needs here in Queensland, the Sunshine State. It’s on at the moment.

Well it’s time to continue the DVD watching. I might gift wrap some of the bookmarks I’ve made too.

Take care 💚

Hi Gridley, Miracle and Survivor,

Thanks so much for dropping by. I really appreciate it. It means a lot.

I’m listening to music videos on my iPad with headphones on at the moment as my cognition won’t even let me watch DVDs. Love my music, what a beautiful voice George Ezra has n what a beautiful soul he is. I just listened to Panic At The Disco singing Bohemiun Rhapsody too. Pretty good!

I don’t put the headphones on very often as I don’t want to get tinnitus.

I have a concert tomorrow afternoon with quite a few acts. The highlight for me will be John Farnham. I’ve always wanted to see him. It’s at an outdoor venue n we will be sitting on the grass. I can lie down if I need to which I probably will need to. One of my friends just told me to rest up n take it easy before the concert.

I can’t believe that I have such amazing friends. All through this journey of withdrawals not one has deserted me. If I’m too ill to go to something, they will continue to ask me to the next event anyway.

Survivor, I always have cog fog, it doesn’t go away as it’s part of CFS. The intensity changes all the time but I always have depersonalisation, like I’m not really here.

Thanks again for dropping by beautiful people, now it’s back to my music.

Sending lots of hugs🤗🤗🤗

Thank Songbird,

I can’t wait for the concert no matter how horrible I’m feeling. My friends have my back. I’ve wanted to see John Farnham for a long time, I go to millions of concerts but never managed to see him. I did go to a John Farnham night one night where a singer sang his songs. He was pretty good actually.

One of the other other acts tomorrow is Richard Marx. I’m hoping he will sing Hazard. Such a sad song. I think I’m going to put it on my WALLOW playlist.

Can’t wait for tomorrow. I don’t know how I’ll manage but I’ll manage somehow.

Can’t do much on this site today as my brain is in outer space again.

Sending hugs🤗

Hello there Carmie

Been thinking of you all day and wanted to get on SA but didn't have the energy.  Well done you, getting through another day of wave.  No small feat.  I'm glad that you have sci-fi interests that really take your attention, that must be such a blessing.  I have just come to bed (7pm here) and feel gratefulness that I've got through another day and can put my legs up.

I did try meditating to a guided Autogenics meditation this afternoon in one of those desperate periods - it was on YouTube and an hour long.  I do feel I managed to relax a wee bit during it and dozed off a couple of times - waking with a bit of a benzo-jolt each time.  I think it gave me a bit of energy and a calmer mind-set to get through the rest of the afternoon.  I don't know if I missed out 2mg of Diaz. yesterday - somehow my carefully counted out and pill-bottled dose didn't add up right.  I decided to not take an extra tablet "just in case".  Today has been a lot more anxiety infused and my legs have been wobblier, so maybe I did miss a tablet - boy if one tablet does that they are powerful and my system is very fragile.

So, I have managed to do a couple of things.  1) I phoned the telco again and said I was a bit miffed that it hadn't been made clear to me that my landline would be an extra cost on top of internet.  I got a concession - not as much as I'd wanted but something.  And I can always swap provider if I want, they've given me three to four days to break the deal if I want.  2) I knitted and un-knitted some premature baby bootees - when I realised I didn't have enough wool to complete the larger size.  I started the smaller size.  With my anxiety being as it is at the moment, I'm pleased that I managed to tackle both of these as I can get quite ramped up if there are glitches or mistakes I have to get over.

Enjoy your Star Trek, I'll be continuing Homeland.

Hanging in with you 💜

One of the other other acts tomorrow is Richard Marx. I’m hoping he will sing Hazard. Such a sad song. I think I’m going to put it on my WALLOW playlist.

Ooh, that's one of my favourites too!

Hi Carmie,

And apologies.......my 24 hours often winds up being........hmmmm.........6 days!!!!!!

First concern you stated above, was.......3 months now since you switched to the compounded capsule(cc) of 7.5mgai(this stands for milligram of active ingredient which is in what you are using now).

And you are dissolving this in how much water at present?

Any recent changes to the amount of water that you dissolve it in?

Have you been in one major wave since the switch over?  I mean comparatively.......to the previous 3 months, before you switched?

I see you want to just go back to using your old tablet, that was 25 mgai, dissolved in 20 mL of water.

Before you do that......let's just see what you think, in review.......

I don't want to see you make a major dilution change in your present formulation( seroquel 7.5 mgai in unknown, to me amount of water) right at the time of the crossover.  That's what I am thinking so far.  And then we may do better, if you decide to cross over by doing it in thirds.

Usually......a cross over looks something like this:

Keeping the total daily dose the same, in your case, it's 7.5mgai of Seroquel.

1/4 new formulation and 3/4 old formulation, hold for at least 3 days

1/2 new formulation and 1/2 old formulation, hold for at least 3 days

3/4 new and 1/4 old, hold for at least 3 days

Then to total dose in the new formulation

So.....I'm proposing you do

1/3 new formulation and 2/3 old formulation, then hold for 4-7 days

2/3 new formulation and 1/3 old formulation,  then hold for 4-7 days

Then to total dose in new formulation

I just think this would be a whole lot easier with the math, and your wanting to get back to using your old tablet of 25 mgai dissolved in 20 mL of water.

2.5mgai: 2mL

7.5mgai: 6mL

^ with what you had been doing 3 months ago

I don't know what you are diluting in, mL(millileters) of your present formulation.

So......let me know your thoughts as well.  Hopefully I can respond then before 6 days have past.  I hope so.

Doing okay here.......loving the snow.......the freezing temperatures are a bit dicey though as far as road conditions go.  I've got to get me a snowmobile or something I think.  B)  Kidding.  I've got good tires and a fair degree of sensibility.

Love, peace, healing, and growth,

mmt
