Alich: I can't live like this

Hay after my sister whent with me 2 the pdr. He convinced me 2 try sertraline. I did it for 4 days 25 mg. End i was 2 senstive  and did more damged on my brain and body. Now he whants me two try mirtazapine and i resfusd. But my familie forced me two take it. Im now so damaged and will do anything they whant. I just want to say thanks for this site im 24 for on it and for trying to help me.

Yes, unfortunately in withdrawal we are very, very sensitized. Doctors don't know how to deal with our symptoms other than to throw more drugs at us.

 

Did you try Alto's suggestion of (and are you still on) a tiny dose of  0.5mg escilatopram? 

 

Had you taken mirtz before? 

 

I know withdrawal is exceptionally difficult -- the problem is, more drugs don't usually solve the matter. 

I'm glad your sister was able to go to your appt with you.

Are you able to get your family on board with your reasons for wanting to come off the Sertraline? You have the right to take this stand. You have the right to make your own choices.

No i didnt reainstall 0.5 escitalprom, because i messed it up with taking 4 days 25.mg sertraline en quite. End now i have take 1 7,5 mirtazapene. I dont think i have a normal wd. Because most all symptoms come when i close mij eyes en whant two rest or sleep.

Yes im sure im over 18, but my familie is carring for me now becouse im not able any more 2 care for my self.

 

When i go to sleep i get

Trumors

My hands begin two sleep 

My knees en elbows begin 2 hurt

I need two go 2 bedroom two pie

Eachy head

Spiders like walking over my face

Feeling needls over my body

My stomic blows air 2 my darms

Fritend for every sound feel it in mu heart.

My muscles begine tens

My body begins 2 shake

My bodys als burns

Current the day i have only tremmors and shake a little bit. Yes i will do my best. My familie wants 2 take me 2 marocco 2 cure me 😣

How do you feel when you wake up in the afternoon?

 

Please note that you are most likely dependent on the benzos, and that could be causing a lot of your problems -- aside from your tendency to cold-turkey psychiatric drugs.

I toke mirtazapine 7,5  ones en slept better only when i was a sleep i had an arrhythmia.

Because i m very depressef and have no joy in life as before. I dont feel better sinds i take mirtazipine.

The benzos are cousing now problemes. The problems started when i started esctilprom. I couldend sleep for 6 days end then the dr gave me oxazepam. End when i got hospelised the gave flurazepam two sleep longer

You probably do have withdrawal syndrome from cold turkey several times.

 

Cold turkey off any psychiatric drug is a bad idea.

 

But depression can be a side effect of benzos. Also, when you take too much benzo, instead of helping you sleep, they can keep you awake. This is called a paradoxical reaction. I believe that is what is happening. You are taking too much benzo at night. You can't sleep until the benzo wears off.

 

In addition, when you are dependent on benzos, when they wear off during the day, you can get what's called rebound symptoms -- anxiety, buzzing, shocks, it can be a lot of different kinds of symptoms. You may have these, too.

 

To avoid this, you might take the benzo more consistently over 24 hours instead of all at once. This needs to be done carefully. You will need to take responsibiity for this, measure your doses, and take them on a schedule. You will also need to stop asking your family to fix your problem, you need to do it yourself. Are you willing to do this?

No Alich, your brain is not damaged but your nervous system is disrupted.  Your nervous system controls everything in your body and taking psychiatric drugs than stopping them again and again causes withdrawal chaos. Are you still taking only oxazepam and flurazepam at night and no more drugs?  If you do as Alto and Shep recommend on your benzo topic your nervous system will settle down but it will take time. You have to be patient and take good care of yourself while your body and brain adjust and heal.  Many of us have been as frightened as you are now, but things do change and improve. IT is also important that you take control of your own self care and not be pressured to take more drugs.

You have to stop pleasing your parents,  and do what is best for you. 

Don't take anymore drugs, if you feel that it is causing you more damage. 

Setraline and Mitrazapine is not a picnic. 

All of these drugs are hard to get off. Some people find it easier,  others much harder. 

If you keep throwing more drugs into the mix, you are throwing your nervous system into a havoc.

You probably had an adverse reaction to the previous drug that you took.

You have to stabilize first,  before you attempt to get off. 

You should concentrate on stabilizing first and follow carefully Altos instructions. 

Once you become stabilized, then think about slowly coming off the drugs.

It takes time. Go for a walk every day.

Force yourself if you don't feel like it.

Lying in bed, doesn't solve anything. 

Keep your self occupied.  Play games on i pad, whatever,  just to keep your mind occupied. 

Go to meditation classes. Join a support group.  You have to be proactive and take charge of your self. You a 33 years old. Don't allow your self to be pressaured into taking more drugs by your family. 

Seek professional counselling to get you over the rough patch.

This doesn't last forever. You will go through waves and windows.  Look up, mindfulness meditation on You Tube and try to meditate before bed time. You can meditate in bed, before falling asleep.  This is what I used to do, to get me through.  The anxiety I felt,  when I was going through WDS, was so unbearable.  I felt anxiety 24/7 for 3 years, but I still managed somehow to function and get through it.  If I can do it,  you can too.

Were you stable before you tried new meds?

Its 2 late its about 4 weeks that i quite that drug i did not stabelize
