Boris
They could also be from the amount of tension being held there when worrying about this. I noticed that the pains/aches in my pelvis went when I was finally cleared of nasty diseases involving my bladder. I'd convinced myself of the worst problems. I occasionally get the pains/aches now and again but they usually got when I conciously relax my pelvis. Boris
I would recommend finding a pelvic floor physio therapist if you have that there? If not you have to try relax the pelvic floor as much as possible. I found stress and worrying was making mine worse. Also driving would also irritate it. In the end I just had to let mine go and not worry about it. I was literally holding my worry there about the bladder symptoms. I've had this kind of thing before with strange aches, I can usually tell they are from stresses when the location moves about. Mask
Boris ok i will try go to hospital and have check up of my pelvic area but i dont think doctor of physiotherapy could treat it because its related to ads withdrawal...i have read cathyfrench story she mentioned i her post of visiting to the phyaiotherpaist doctor which prescribe her muscle relexant medicenes which didnt help her and the pelvic floor pain subsided itself and i also belivw it will go away on its own as it went away earlier for me i guess i took different antidepressants medications for depression and anciety from 2013 to 2017 with no benefit i kept on changing the ads but of no use and i gave up...and then the pgad started.. prozac for 2 weeks lexapro for 3 weeks seroxat for 10 days Now i am antidepressants free 2017 december was the last time i took ads since then i havent taken any ads medication My main symptom is pgad i get stabbing pain in genital area which is interfering in my daily life.. and very mild arousals which dosent bother me. cathyfrench
Hi Mask, Isaw your message on my thread. I am so sorry your PGAD came back after several months of remission. My PGAD is now very mild. I have been off Sertraline for 30 months now but I still suffer from it when I am stressed and Always in the late afternoon. My PGAD is very mild now and for me what helped was seing a pelvic pain physiothrapist that relaxed my diaphragm, my bladder muscles and nerves and worked on my PSOAS. I still have mild PGAD when I am stressed because stress activate the sympathetic nervous system and as a result wakes up the pelvic nerve (the pudendal nerve). A physiotherapist can show you how to use belly breathing to stimulate your vagus nerve and this will quiet down your sympathetic nervous system. The thing is really to avoid anger, anxiety and stress. Also I see a psyhcologist to help me with my personnal issues. It is important. She told me that a lot of people can get these sensations when they are extremelly anxious, depressed and when they suffer fromOCD etc. Some people get these sensations when they suffer from OCD, so I guess it is important to work on our deep fears and anxieties and this in turn can allow us to have less anxiety and as a result we activate less the parasympathetic nervous system. Walking, swimming helped me. Also what helped me was seeing a pudendal nerve specialist. She gave me iron and vitamine C (it works on neuropathy) and I got a ganglion impar block but not sure if it worked. I now that less estrogens and less testosterone seem to have helped me (I am now in menopause and i think this quieted down the PGAD). Really if you can ask a physiotherapist to help you, they can really help. Also TENS can help you to relax the sympathetic nervous system (I used TENS at the beginning). It doesn't stop PGAD but it breaks the pain message to travel to your brain. Ihope you will get better soon. cathyfrench
Hi Mask, I hope you are feeling better. I saw your questions and I would like to give you a bit of hope. My PGAD is kind of gone but I still have tinnitus. I think that going through the menopause helped me unless I recover with time. Since I stopped antidepressants, I have never had waves and windows with my symptoms, they slowly went away. Slowly my PGAD symptoms improved but I kept tinnitus. My tinnitus never changed. Some old symptoms that I had when I had just stop the antidepressant are however coming back. For example I had constant songs stuck in my head when I stopped sertraline and this withdrawal symptom is back. I think that seeing a physiotherapist helped me for PGAD and seeing a behavioural psychologist helped me to deal with tinnitus. Seeing a urologist and a pudendal nerve specialist helped me to deal with PGAD. Administrator Altostrata Posted May 1, 2020 Administrator Share Posted May 1, 2020 If fasting is causing panic attacks -- which it may very well do, as low blood sugar increases adrenaline production -- you are causing your own problems. Your religion does not demand self-harm, you have chosen to do this to yourself. If you cause your own problems, we cannot help you. If you seek drugs to counter your own self-harm, we cannot help you. We will have to ask you to leave this site. This is not medical advice.
