Melissa5000: nerve/muscle pain/burning after fast taper

Recommended Posts

Melissa5000

Yesterday I went to the gym. I managed to walk 2250 meter at a speeds of 3,7 km/hour! After it I visited a shop before I cycled home on my ebike.

Today I went on my ebike for groceries. It looks like life is a tiny bit easier for me. Like there are very small improvements. Still very handicapped. Very subtile improvements. Or is this a window?

This week I walked 2450 meter on a treadmill. I put the speed at 3,8 km/hour. But from the beginning I felt a nasty painful preassure on my toes. I think it was the faster speed.  I had burnung toes from it. :(

Thursday I went to the gym again. I put the speed back to 3,7 km/hour. This time I had no burning toes. I managed to walk 2770 meter! :)

Last night I went to a restaurant with friends. We had lots of fun and I laughed a lot! Very cheerful!

This weekend my boyfriend traveled to my place. We had 3 lovely days. Sunday we were gardening. My boyfriend helped me a lot.

Monday we went together to the gym. I bought new sportshoes. My old ones were a little bit too big for me. The new Puma shoes feel great and fit better. Now I started at 3.7 km/hour and could slowly increase the speed to 3.8 km/hour, 3.9 km/hour and finally even 4.0 km/hour!!! I managed to walk 3 kilometer!!! I don't know what is happening to me!!! I am so very happy! :)

Thanks Eymen23 and Carmie!

I forgot my nighttime pills. I have my period, slept only 6 hours. I felt miserable.

After I took my morning dose and waited 3 hours I felt a little better. I wanted to go to the gym. But I doubted if I could do much in this shape.

I went on the treadmill. The first 10 minutes I started slowly at 3.7-3.8 and 3.9 km/hour. Then I walked another 40 minutes at 4 km/hour. In total 3300 meter!!!!!!!!!! :)

I was so happy.

Later on the day the news came that my dad had a little spot on his face that turned out to be skin cancer. He has good hope because he found it out in an early stage. But I was still shocked!

That was a bummer of cource. Lets hope for the best.

I have been practising in the gym a lot. Today I walked 4 km! I walk 4 km/hour now.

My right foot hurt while walking. It might be a corn under my foot.

Saturday my mood was a bit depressed. I went through the day by doing chores. That distracted me. I am usually not depressed. I wonder if the end of my period was causing the depression or that it is withdrawal. Sunday the depressed feelings were gone.

Today I cleaned the windows and did some housekeeping.

I made an appointment with a pedicure for next week. I hope she can take a look at my feet and tell me if I do have a corn or maybe something else. It hurts when I take a longer walk.

I have a lot of calluses in that spot under my foot. So it really looks like a corn to me. Now that I can finally walk around a bit more I don't want to be handicapped by a corn!!! That can be removed simply by a pedicure. Being freed from the corn would be worth every penny to me. :D

Today and yesterday I have done lots of housekeeping and groceryshopping.

I am grateful I managed it! I was a lot of work.

I just took sitting breaks in between. This way I can do much more.

I had a lovely long weekend with my boyfriend.

Sunday we went to the cinema. We watched "The mule" with Clint Eastwood. After it we had a drink (no alcohol) in a cafe.

Monday we went to the gym. I managed to walk 4200 meter at a speed of 4.1 km/hour. :)

Yesterday I went shopping. I cycled a lot and visited several shops! I am so grateful that I can do this again!

Today I visited the pedicure. She removed lots of caluses and multiple corns! She did my nails as well and checked both feet. My feet are so beautifull now! And I asume it won't cause any pain anymore.

I was gardening this afternoon. I did a lot of work in the front yard. The weather is very good. 18 degrees celcius and sunny.

Now my arms and feet hurt a bit from the gardening. I am resting now.

The last few nights I did not sleep long enough. And I have been very busy with housekeeping and gardening.

I feel tired now and have everywhere aches and pains. I need to take it easy for a while.

Sunday I will become 44 and I am preparing my birtdayparty. :)

Last weekend I celebrated my birthday. I am 44 now.:) My house is full of flowers now!

Today I enjoyed the weather with my boyfried. We went to the supermarket with his car. I took lots of heaviers products.

We are weeding the back yard now. I had a big bucket full of weed. Now my toes hurt from crouching. :( So I had to stop. My toes are burning now.  My boyfriend is still weeding under the hedge, so he is helping me a lot.

Today I walked 4500 meter on a treadmill in the gym at a speed of 4,2 km/hour. After it I went to a shop and bought lots of garden equipment.

At home I made dinner and watered the garden. I had a little accident with the garden hose. So the kitchen was totally wet. I had to mop everything. I put the 7 towels in the washing machine.

I cycled 5 km on my hometrainer. I am tired now but most of all amazed that I could do all those chores on one day! :)

Yesterday I was 2,5 hours housekeeping.

In the evening I decided to try my hometrainer again. I cycled 8 km in 30 minutes. After it I was very tired. I felt a storm of nervepain around my arms. I think that my body has to get used to the new exercise.

My period arrived that day. That may also cause some of the nervepain trouble. During my period my body is a lot weaker than usual.

Today I went to the gym again on my ebike. I walked 4600 meter on a treadmill at a speed of 4,3 km/hour. :)

It is raining the last few days so I don't need to water my garden.

It seems that doctor Sarno's idea is right. (You tube, Healing back pain, The divided mind) And Steven Ozanich's experience starts to look familiar now. (He wrote the Great pain deception, also on you tube.)

I was in a lot of pain. And by practising (with many ups and downs) things like typing, housekeeping, gardening and walking I make progress!!!  It goes very slowly, but there are many small improvements that add up. I am still not close to how strong I was, but I feel over time I am getting closer by baby steps. The direction I move in has my attention now. I am getting hungry, and long for more and more progress.

Today I tried weights. That is...........very modest practise. But it is more important to me that I start somewhere.

I took 0,5 kg dumbells. I did a few exercises for my arms. 3 times each. Then I laid down on a yoga mat. I did 3 types of abb exercises and did the bridge, 3 times each.  In the past I did these exercises 45 times each. But hey, there IS is start. Now I have to repeat these exercises a few times. If it goes well I could build it up frome there. :)

Last night I did not sleep very well. I had all over bodytension in my sleep. I had this a lot in the past during withdrawal. Every now and then it comes back. I had it now for 2 nights in a row.

I managed to do the laundry and some cleaning, together I was 2 hours busy.

The rest of the day I took it easy. Because of the bad night I have more aches and pains than usual, but I think that is logic.

I am reading a lot now. The day is not too bad but I have to rest a lot.

Monday I finally walked 5 km in the gym! My speed was 4,4 km/hour.

Thuesday I did lots of housekeeping and in the evening I cycled 10 km on my hometrainer.

Wednesday I walked 5200 meter in the gym at a speed of 4,5 km/hour. This time I had a lot of musclepain at the back of my legs (calves and hamstrings).

I rubbed my legs in with magnesium gel. Unfortunatelly I forgot my 25 mg pill lyrica and 3 beads Sarotex retard amitriptyline. :( A stupid mistake, but I could not catch those pills up.

My period is a little weird this time. It started to bleed a week ago. Then the bleeding stopped. Wednesday the bleeding came back suddenly when I cycled to the gym. I blame it on being 44 and having quitted the birthcontrol pill in december 2017. My periods are not that predictable anymore. Aging can be part of the problem. It is not a big deal for me but it explains why I feel weaker this day.

So thursday I am back on the right med schedule again. I slept very well.  I woke up with lots of musclepain in my legs. Maybe the training was heavy enough to build up some muscles! I walk a lot longer and quicker now than I have done in years. That can very well explain the muscle pain. My period is heavy today. So I just took it easy this day. I wanted to give my body some rest.

Friday the musclepain had gone. But sice wednesday I suffer from itch at the back of my knees. I try not to pay attention to that.

I went on my ebike for lots of groceries and I did some housekeeping.

Saturday I did lots of housekeeping and dinnertime my boyfriend visited me. We had a lovely weekend.

Sunday 5th may we went into town and walked around a bit, at least 2 km. There  were many foodtrucks and there was music here and there. We sat outside at a cafe and had a drink (no alcohol). Since the morning I felt a nasty bodyarousal. I had difficulties concentrating in the crowd. I had the tendency to lay down to rest on the street and feelings of almost fainting. But I could walk around in despite of it. After that we visited a few shops and we bought icecream. It was huge!!!!!!!! We ordered a normal size soft icecream but we got a massive amount! :D In the evening my boyfriend wanted to go for a walk again and this time I decided to join him! We walked 2,5 km, so nice to be able to walk twice on a day!!!

Monday we went to the gym again.  I walked 5 km at a speed of 4,5 km/hour. After that we went to the supermarket. And I made dinner.

Tonight we sat on the couch. My boyfriend had to go home again for work.

I am very grateful that I can do all these things. I am far from healed, but there are many improvements. Some days are better than others of course. But I don't care as long as there is general improvement!

Last week I noticed I did just a bit more of everything. More housekeeping and gardening.

I managed to walk the 5 km twice in the gym. It is still a bit challenging for me and I had a bit musclepain afterwards in my calves and hamstrings.

In general I feel a bit better. Less burning and also less cryingspells, less fear. I have more positive emotions now and I feel mentally more stable.

But I still have many issues. I cannot use my arms and hands too much yet, crouching hurts in my toes but also a bit in my legs. I cannot type too much. I cannot lift heavy things.  I still have to pay attention that I don't do too much. Compared to before meds I am still very limited.

I am far from healed but it does get better. And the progress is cheering me up so much! :)

Dear Melissa,
I've read your thread these days and was very much informed by your post.

Especially Dr. Schubiner's video.

So I'd like to thank you and to tell that your progress journal encourages me a lot.

Wishing you many more lovely days!

Machi

I am still quite ok. Today I walked 5 km in the gym at a speed of 4,6 km/hour.

Yesterday I was gardening with my boyfriend for 2,5 hours! Ok I had a little nervepain in my arms afterwards, but only a little bit. Nasty enough of course. But that could be a lot worse, so I am grateful! :)

Monday 27th I have a surgery coming up. My 17 year old cohesive silicone breastimplants wil finally be removed. I wanted this since november 2018 but it took a long time before the hospital sceduled the surgery. I don't want new implants. Just get them out and get back to factory settings as much as possible. The capsule and implant will be removed en block. I am not aware of any problems with my implants. But who knows if there might clear up a small issue here and there?

My boyfriend will take care of me and he takes me to the hospital.

After the surgery I will have to take it easy. I am not allowed to cycle for 2 weeks. I regret that a lot. :(

But it is an investment in a healthier body. I guess I will read a lot and wait it out. After 6 weeks I can pick up my regular activity again.

That is relatively a short period of time. And meanwhile I can take walks in my neighbourhood. :)

The days after the surgery I am probably not able to post yet.

Wednesday I have been gardening in the front yard. There was weeding and pruning to do. I did the laundry. My arms hurt afterwards.

Thursday I woke up with sore arms. But I needed to hoover! Just did that and I went grocery shopping and we had to vote for the European Parlement, so I cycled around a lot.

I am busy to clean the house before my surgery. After the surgery I have to take it easy for 6 weeks!

I pay the price with sore arms. So I should slow it down now. Maybe It is better to ask my boyfriend this weekend for some help. He will be around me before and after the surgery anyway.

Friday I only did the laundry. I had to give my arms some rest! That worked.

Unfortunatelly I did not sleep too well. I saw on my Polar sportswatch that I only slept 4,5 hours. My neigbour played loud music very early in the morning and was cleaning with much noise.

So I had to get up early as well. I went to the supermarket. Now I am doing only light chores in the household. Tonight my boyfriend comes to visit me. Monday Is the day of my surgery.

The bandage came off. My breasts are smaller but they look very normal and feel very nice and soft.

I have some aches and pains left from the surgery so I have to take it easy.

I went to bed yesterday at 20.30 because my arms hurt. But I could not sleep. Only a few hours here and there. I managed to lay on my side allready!

Today it is 5 days after my breast implant removal surgery.

I am up all day but I cannot use my arms too much. My boyfriend helps me a lot in the houskeeping! And in the garden! He is great. He cooks for me as well. I have to give him some instructions here and there. :-))

I am sooner tired so I go to bed earlier than usual. Since 48 hours after the surgery I stopped the tylenol/paracetamol and the diclofenac.

Now I am one week post-op!

My nervepain from withdrawal is a lot worse. But that is very logical. My body is very tired from the surgery and needs all its energy to heal the wounds.

I am taking it very easy. I go to bed earlier.

My boyfriend left this morning for work. He will have to stay at his own place for a while. He has been very helpful to me! He did everything in the housekeeping, garden and he cooked dinner for me.

Now I have to do it myself again. I have many pr-cooked meals in 0the fridge and lots of groceries in the house.

I don't do heavy lifting/cleaning/gardening.

It is now 2 weeks post surgery.

I can do modest tasks in the housekeeping again. I can do the laundry for smaller items like underwear, socks and shirts. I can cook and wash dishes. I can clean the bathroom and kitchen. The bigger chores have to wait or my boyfriend has to help me. I don’t sweep or mop floors, cannot change the big bedsheets yet, cannot do gardening yet, no vacuuming, no washing windows and I do not like to lift items over one kilo. My arms are still quite sensitive and the chest muscles will be painfull when I overdo it.

I can only go for small walks. I still have to take it easy.

I still have lots of healing to do. But the surgery is only 2 weeks ago and I already feel progress. That is a lot to be greatful for.

The more I recover from the breast surgery, the more my nervepain calmes down. I still have extra nervepain since the surgery but I feel improvements every week, Or every few days.

I am a lot inside the house alone now. I miss my ebike! I am gratefull that I can take care of myself now and cook and do modest tasks in the housekeeping.

Life is a little boring now. But I have to wait a few extra weeks before I am allowed to do more physically.

The wounds heal fine and my breasts still look quite good! They are only smaller now. I went from a D cup to a B cup.

I am slowly improving step by step. I can't do lifting, cycling , lawn mowing and gardening. But I can do all the laundry now, cooking and cleaning.

The fluid left my breasts. They feel softer now. It looks better too.

I can walk around 2,5 km now. The nervepain is calming down every few days a bit more.
