Oh excellent, JC, thanks for posting this/passing it along.

Yes, my main objective right now is to (as much as I can) relax about the symptoms I’m having and continue to eat little bits of what tastes/sounds best.  Definitely easier said than done on some days.

I've been having disabling inner-thigh muscle pains. I wanna share how I've dealt with them.

1. Magnesium glycinate/lysinate chelate (200mg in the morning and 200mg at noon)

2. Vitamin D3 (400 IU in the morning and 400IU at noon) [seems the vitD3 should coincide with the magnesium]

3. After any exercise that involves the thighs, I do this (frog pose exercise+stretch) for 1 minute.

These are the things that keep me functioning. :)

Joint pain in fingers / olanzapine

Sore joints in my fingers (mostly knuckles nearest the tips) have been a problem for a while.  I need to type for work.  It's the tapping/compression action that feels sore.

A friend suggested it might be olanzapine.  It's listed in the side effects for it, too.  And my ankles used to be terrible on the risperidone, but have really improved over the taper.

My GP tested for osteo (X-ray) and rheumatoid arthritis (blood) and says it's neither.  Which is good, but...

Not the best that the GP didn't pick it up, since she prescribes the olanzapine for me at present, but that also implies she won't be the most knowledgeable person to ask what to do about it.

Anyone got any good tips on joint pain?  Ibuprofen gets me part of the way, rest another part, but there's only so much of either can be done.

I would hope it will pass later on, but having to sit at a computer for much of the week to keep the roof up and the lights on isn't ideal.

Heat packs, massage, stretches, strengthening.

Perhaps you might be able to get a softer keyboard to use which doesn't jar as much.

Thanks ChessieCat.  I've already got a couple of really good ergo keyboards, Kinesis Advantage 2 and one from https://x-bows.com/ .  They are great, if only laptops were easily converted this way

Also fitted these https://medium.com/swlh/should-you-apply-o-rings-to-your-mechanical-keyboard-d0e0319aa6bf

You can plug in keyboards via USB into the laptop.

I would have thought that the o-rings would mean that you have more resistance and would have to press down harder.

Sure, if you're at a desk already.  I'd usually just get on the workstation then.

The O rings don't affect anything till the key is near the bottom of its travel.  They just round out the impact if you do bottom the key out.

Someone mentioned histamines earlier in the thread.  I tried a nasal spray for hay fever (antihistamine) which seemed to reduce the discomfort a bit.

Also noticing a correlation between the discomfort and humid grey wet weather.
