Rick1785
Hello All, Just wanted to let you know that I am almost 2 years into CT Lexapro withdrawal and now have YET ANOTHER new symptom emerging the past 2 weeks - constant pressure headaches: like a dull fullness/tightness in the head that affects mostly the temples, forehead, and behind the eyes. I feel pressure behind the eyes like they are pushing out of my head and vision can get a tad bit blurry. I start feeling them within 10-15 minutes of getting up each day. They seem to be triggered by stress, anxiety, watching TV, phone use, and mental stimulation. My brain fog is lifting a little bit BUT exerting myself mentally seems to exacerbate the headache. There ARE times when its less noticeable/not noticeable at all, but its few and far between. I am getting an MRI tomorrow to rule out anything more serious (the Dr. Ordered with and without contrast but I'm a little nervous to have the IV contrast because my nervous system is literally hypersensitive to EVERYTHING lately...literally cant even take OTC pain relievers, drink coffee, alcohol anymore.) HAS ANYONE (Especially someone who has taken Lexapro) DEALT WITH THIS BEFORE? How long did it last? Are there any medications you would recommend? Should I be worried about having a stroke/brain trauma because of this? 2003-2018 Adderall 30-60 mg 2018 -2021 Desoxyn 25 mg/day (Dec 2021 CT Dexoxyn) 2005- 2021 Lexapro 10 mg - CT July 2021 (Covid vaccine July 2021) Nov 2021 - Quit Vaping Nicotine July 2022 - Quit Caffeine Dec -Jan 2022 - Attempted reinstatement of low dose liquid Zoloft and Citalopram - never made it past 1 wk - system too sensitive) 2005- 2021 Lexapro 10 mg - CT July 2021 2003-2018 Adderall 30-60 mg daily 2018 -2021 Desoxyn 25 mg/day (Dec 2021 CT Dexoxyn) (Covid vaccine July 2021) Nov 2021 - Quit Vaping Nicotine July 2022 - Quit Caffeine Dec -Jan 2022 - Attempted reinstatement of low dose liquid Zoloft and Citalopram - never made it past 1 wk - system too sensitive)

Rick1785
Hello, Quick update: I had my MRI (opted to do it without contrast) and it was completely NORMAL. So this tells me its 100% a withdrawal symptom. Yes, Alto it is hot in central Florida especially recently, but I grew up here so I'm used to the climate, and I make sure to drink at least 3/4 a gallon of water per day throughout the day. My diet and exercise routine is second to none and I take very good care of myself otherwise. Pianojane and Nicholas45140 - good to know I am not the only one dealing with this. For what its worth, the past 2 nights I've been taking a low dose of TAURINE 30 minutes before bed and the pressure headaches have been about 30-50% better (I order 500mg capsules and empty out the majority of the powder , so I probably take between 100-200mg as my body is pretty sensitive to it). The headaches seem to be significantly dependent on 1) anxiety and arousal level, 2) sleep quality, and 3) body position (always better after I lay down). 2005- 2021 Lexapro 10 mg - CT July 2021 2003-2018 Adderall 30-60 mg daily 2018 -2021 Desoxyn 25 mg/day (Dec 2021 CT Dexoxyn) (Covid vaccine July 2021) Nov 2021 - Quit Vaping Nicotine July 2022 - Quit Caffeine Dec -Jan 2022 - Attempted reinstatement of low dose liquid Zoloft and Citalopram - never made it past 1 wk - system too sensitive)

Honestly my friend I've had blood tests, mri without contrast on head and neck, crp tests, xrays and cts of head, lungs and stomach since my adverse reaction and ct of sertraline (and a couple other things)and nothing upon nothing has been found to be wrong with me so far. Courage plays a massive role and hopefully we will all sit back and be enjoying life again very soon! Keep your head up friend Trai xx Previous to pharma I was doing a fair bit of drinking and taking party drugs, mainly from the ages of 18 and 21 2014: started 20mg citalopram January 2015: switched to sertraline 50mg March 2017: dropped to 25mg sertraline Between these last 2 dates I was on and off the sert (now I know this was stupid) December 8th 2022: 50mg sertraline (adverse reaction: Suicidal images and homicidal images) December 19th 2022: ct from sertaline Sometime here had a paradoxical reaction to lorazepam (extreme anxiety, closed eye hallucinations) this caused the dpdr to start February 17th/19th 2023: WD from sertraline started Also had an amoxicillin treatment in February, not sure if this did anything but I did get akathisia from then "BUT I LOVE THE PAIN, LET IT RAIN AND WASH AWAY, LET IT CARRY YOU TO A BETTER PLACE AND FORGET MY NAME" Ambleside - Wash away
