Hi rustw,

Just stopping by and cheering you on the little break! I hope it comes more often and last longer each day!

I also saw your post to aromem thread mentioning about your UTI last year and the horrible effects of cipro on your withdrawal. It's heart breaking to see ppl are harmed by so many FDA approved medications! My self had tons experience being harmed not only by drugs but also the very widely used additives such as aspartame.

Unfortunately I was just diagnosed with a mild UTI. I know I can't take anything except drinking tons water. I'm curious your UTI situation then and now. I hope it all cleared up forever.

Thanks for sharing your experience and helping out!

LexAnger thanks I appreciate that- they said I had prostatitis non-bacterial so they gave me antibiotics anyways just in case LOL initially I knew what caused it now it was a yeast infection. So I was given antibiotics that kill my good bacteria so this yeast took over inside my body. prostatitis can be caused by yeast . Transmitted through sex or bad pH in the body this is 1  overlooked problem also by doctors when they try to treat this. The Cipro is in the family of fluoroquinolones the only antibiotics that can damage your CNS and your brain I ended up getting a systemic yeast infection throughout my whole body that took me many months to fight off.   do not take antibiotics unless you're on your Deathbed the same thing with psych meds as you know. They destroy your good gut bacteria and your gut brain. Wait it out and see what happens I know it's hard because it can be painful sometimes but these type of infection seem to go away on their own sometimes what are your symptoms and how long during my withdrawals I've been having problems peeing during the night I usually don't get up that much there's usually not a quick fix for this one just give it time I'm better now I don't have many problems in that area due to a low sugar low acidic diet

Yes, I had a run in with Cipro. I will never touch that again. Horrible drug.

Here is a site for those who have been "floxed"

I hope you get better RusTW. There is nothing worse than adding Cipro to a withdrawal state of being. I think I would have recovered faster had it not been for Cipro.

Thank you so much rustw for taking time and sharing your experience and good advice! I really appreciate it!

My god, that sounds horrible what happened after they treated you with cipro, not only the harm to nerve system but also the whole body yeast infection! More I learn, the more shocking what the doctors nowdays are in doingbtheir jobs.

That's what I am thinking too not to take any meds for UTI. The full test results will be available in 3 days. The quick test only shows I have a mild infection based on the white blood cells. My sxs is not bad, only happened the first couple trips to bathroom early morning since 3 days ago with burning sensation, rest of the day i dont have much sxs. I pray hard it can go away by drinking lots water.

When I search online, I was terrified by the saying about getting serious complications if the condition is left untreated -_- meaning taking antibiotics, but I know to my heart antibiotics of any type.

Hope you are coping well and wish you continuous healing!

LexAnger be wise and patient.Have they tested for STD .not sure if your active. If your clear of that and not peeing blood its a mild infection you will b ok.Its the same as w/d dont pay attention to it.mine lasted for 3or 4 months.Mine was my inflamed prostate with yeast infection.I just had to forget about it.I was thinking I had prostate cancer.lol.Don't look stuff up you will end up with health anxiety. Its known stress alone can screw up your urinary sestym stress=Inflammation.I know it feels distressing hang in there. No pills ever made mine better.less stress cleaner diet more water and exercise was the best. I ended up getting a urologist over it and they really didn't do that much anyways. They will run all the tests and if you're clear they'll try to dose you with antibiotic don't do it. I would be cautious even with the mild infection. I see it like this it's like having a cold down there. It will heal. If you get too worried about this have them run a PSA test on you. That will show signs for prostate problems. Unfortunately for men urinary problems is a comment thing. Take care keep me updated

Ativan 1mg  was prescribed at the same time the Cipro was by an MD Doctor. It was to help me sleep because I kept getting up to pee all the time. Later by his wife a psychiatrist working in the same building I was prescribed the Seroquel Zyprexa and Zoloft. Very scary

I'm sticking to holistic from now on. For all good reasons it's better to be finicky about what you're putting in your body. We've learned that by now

Today was a pretty good day -woke up this morning with a little bit of anxiety . didn't sleep that well last night. it was too cold in the house. Upon Awakening up I caught myself looking for symptoms ..*busted*. throughout the day I was expecting the anxiety and nausea to hit me hard but it didn't at all. I just feel a little bit nervous. I've realized over the last few days you can't really stop your withdrawal symptoms or control them but you can do your best to continue living. I really believe this is all worth it. I eat better -think more positively have more patience and empathy then I ever have . even though I still feel sick . I have something I gained. now that I've seen that I don't think I want to be the same person I used to be.☺ I want to be a better person not for myself but all of us.

Thank you so much rustw for your reassurance! Those are very valuable information and advice!

I don't think it's std. I have been too sick from all these along with a serious back injury so no chance for that.

I have been dating water all the time since yesterday. The burning didn't show up today. I pray it will go away by itself. My system is too wracked to handle anything. In the padt 3 months, I had severe reaction to mri, msg. Asparyame and now Going through severe aspartame wd on top of lex wd.

How are you coping?

Lex

I've been having problems lately peeing during the night I know it's withdrawal for sure. I'm doing better.I'm in a window now.I still have rough times.I am empowered by my windows. This is not going control me.I'm not Going to let it.I'm a newbie at this but I'm learning fast.I didn't c your introduction. You have a lot of experience. Are you getting better.

Hi again rustw,

unfortunately my my overall health is totally wracked since the multiple reaction plus a very serious back injury all happened this year about 4 month ago when I was off lex for 6 months after 4.5 yrs tapering. If not experiencing it myself, I can't believe how bad the other non drugs toxins can do to a already super sensitized nerve system by Ssri!

My orirginal muscle stiffness evolved to severe generalized dystonia, very intolerable and really hard to live with. I had a horrodous taper experience and post zero time but things got 100 times worse since the multiple reactions. Be very careful about those additives, they are very powerful and harmful, more than drugs in my case.

I just read your intro, you were on these drugs for quite short period, with careful tapering and all the knowledge and information for risks etc, you will be fine getting off these poisons!

I hope you continuous healing and more wider and clear sindows!

You will be fine. Don't be scared of my case. I literally changed dose everyday for 8.5 yrs by biting down a piece of tablet whatever the dose it gives. Even though, I saw healing after stopping, but again was hit by many perfect storms one after another. I don't think anyone would have a case close to mine.

Hope you are having a great day!

God, I have been wd ever since I started tapering like since 2013. Things got lot worse and complicated after updose in 2014, then again in 2015. I dont even know since then what are from what. After stopping, I had severe wd for like 6 months, right there when I saw some improvement I got hit by the multiple injuries and reactions. Things got even more complicated from there.

Deep in my heart, I feel if not for the extra storms in this the padt 4 months,  my wd should have improved quite bit.

Okay now I'm trying this new experiment it's a few days old so far. I'm trying to trick my brain and my CNS by conducting myself as though everything was normal and is functioning normal. Even though it's far from that. I've been noticing that it's working. I've been making the extra effort to talk to people to smile at everyone to walk like I'm happy talk like I'm happy. I'm doing spontaneous things like rocking out or singing. the conversations I have with myself are not about withdrawal thinking about symptoms. I'm not sure this is going to work but I'm sure as hell going to give it a shot.

Hi rustw,

From what I saw, most ppl got a so called honey moon period after zero from like a few weeks to a few months depending each individual.

I did exactly what you are doing to fake or pretend either to others or myself when I am able to. It helps in a way either by enforcing the positive thinking or distraction. I think you are doing the right or good thing to help your brain to heal!

Yeah, I used to be able to enjoy the great outdoors during early stage of tapering until the past 3 yrs I was not able to talk a walk outside due to both physical and mental sxs. But i go to gym using the Machines and swimming everyday until the back injury which locked me in bed for 5 months now.

Where are you Now? Up north along the coast?

Lol😂  A honeymoon period.I figured there were more surprises.Oh well.I was jamming out in the car today and seen a lady doing the same in another car we laughed at each other and jammed on.seems contagious lol. I'm figuring if I do go crazy I want to be the happy crazy if I have a choice.I really feel for ya.Your body has taken a lot.You had a lot of healing going on.That's great your working out and swimming. That's good rehab and for your mind.  I hope you recover physically 100.I know injuries too

In the last 6 years I was hit by a car broken arm elbow wrist.Tore my hamstring muscle off the bone doing leg presses and tore my bicept off the bone lifting a huge tv.I didn't realize I'm not superman anymore lol and now this .I'm built like a machine now.each time I hated rehab.
