The Health Anxiety was bad.It started after taking the cipro and got worse as the meds were added.More meds more side effects more health anxiety. It was bad back then.have to say that its going thru that helped me deal with w/d better .At least I'm not thinking I'm dying 24/7.That was really dark thinking .I was in the ER and Doctors office all the time. The answer more pills ......glad I didn't take most of them.

Did you take Cipro before or after starting your first brain meds?

I was like you going to doctors every week before lexapro. Ever since I know all my problems are form meds, I stopped seeing all doctors for years. Unfortunately I didn't stick to the rule to include chiropractors and physical therapists how I got this severe back injury. Medical doctors and alike are causing more damages than helping out nowadays.

They were prescribed around the same time Ativan 1mg and the antibiotics.                                            After the cipro my body got weak in every way.I think that's what my anxiety was over i.t messed me up I could feel it.I had major life events happened prior.to the meds my body and mind was open to a breakdown from a drug like Cipro. It felt like it my joint tissue was eroding.

Omg, that was terrifying how Cipro hurt you!

Thoses doctors are so dangerous to visit! So unbelievable these incidents are so widespread.

Ppl say when doctors are off work protesting, death rate declined 50%.

there are something very wrong in today's medical and pharmaceutical system.

When you destroy your own good bacteria in your gut by Antibiotics it affects your mental state.Your gut is connected to your brain with nerves .its how they say = gut feeling.plus it hits your immune system in your whole body..Its hard to fight any illness .look it up .you would never use it.

I slept pretty good last night about 6 hours. Woke up this morning kind of tired very low anxiety. I feel like my symptoms have lessened in severity. Not sure if I'm really in a window. I have ringing ears and a little bit of head fog. I'm hoping this faze with the lessoned symptoms will stay and not build up. From about 12 noon until about 3:30 or 4 is when my waves or symptoms hit me the most and hardest. I felt that yesterday a lesser version of that. My thinking is a lot clearer I'm noticing off and on that some of the OCD thinking willll pop in but it fades pretty quick now. I'm actually able to sit in one spot for a lengthy period of time and feel calm. My stomach is making funny noises and that's usually not a good sign

I I wanted to post an update I'm on around day 5 or day 6 of my window I'm still about 80% in it I have do have some symptoms of ringing ears sore throat the anxiety is very mild. A few OCD thoughts about my health able to push them back though. Now I'm starting to feel a little bit tired in the afternoon and early in the morning when I wake up I feel like that's because of anxiety levels are starting to go down I'm hoping this window stays open for a long time but I'm prepared for waves. I've been conducting myself as if there is nothing wrong. That has been helping with the confident thinking. Stomach symptoms have changed into Airy gassy stomach instead of nausea hopefully the nausea is going away now.

I'm glad to see you are healing.  All the back and forth is hard to handle sometimes, but for me it meant I was healing.  I'm doing ok today.

During this phase now whether it's stabilization or a window one of the things that I'm noticing is how I deal with stress. While on the medications I'm remembering now that the stress would cause me to cycle downward as I would obsess on it along with other things. Instead of coping with it I would just put it on the back burner until it would build up into something else like anxiety or depression. I had a hard time saying no to helping family with their financial responsibilities. Today this popped up again with a family member asking for money. my response was different today it was to say no and not obsess on the repercussions of that. All of this seems to be guilt driven because for so many years I lived away from home I still helped out but I was always out there on my own. They take it as I was dodging responsibility of helping them but I was only living my life. I'm learning now that I can pick and choose what kind of situations I'm in. It feels good gaining my Independence back going through this. It's like my eyes are opening from a very deep sleep.

You did  have them?  How did it go with the medications used during them Rus?  I am fearful of those because of the tapering and the CLonazepam...

Rabe The medication was fine.During the procedure and after. The only thing that I had trouble with was the drug they give you so you don't remember the procedure. As long as you realize it will go away. You will not remember what happened and what will happen for a day .Be prepared it can make you agitated if you push yourself to try and remember and might cause anxiety. The best thing is to have no plans go home and rest only.By the next day its gone.I liked the feeling of being put out then waking up.geeze I was bad depressed back then. Do you take antacids or proton pump inhibitors I'm asking because my experience with them was not good in a different way I think they're just as bad as the antidepressants. Ever since the start of my withdrawals I changed my diet to a very simple diet of lean meat vegetables and fruits I don't eat past 8 no sugar no grease and my symptoms are 100% gone. I also had to have 2 laryngoscopy because they thought I had throat cancer from the acid reflux.Very trying times.

David182     back in May I cold turkey Seroquel 300 mg reinstated 100mg after 3 weeks when the withdrawal hit I'm down to 50 mg of Seroquel prior to that I was on Zyprexa 10mg for many months. during that time I was also on Zoloft 125mg since then I've taper down to 50 mg. I was only on these medications for about a year. During that time while taking the Zoloft it Amplified my anxiety. Now when I take 50mg mid-day a few hours afterwards I feel the anxiety OCD thinking and I feel amped up. Over the past year-and-a-half I've also develop GI symptoms gastritis acid reflux and I think they might be related to The Zoloft or the Zyprexa I was on.

@RusTW

thank you for your history. I can’t help but wonder a few things: is any interaction is going on between Zoloft and Seroquel? It appears there could be a moderate interaction from the research I’ve done

Or

perhaps your body just doesn’t like Zoloft. I have friends who have had opposite reactions from what meds should do. Has Zoloft ever helped?

It sounds like you’ve been through a lot of changes. You said this all started in May? That would put you at approximately 3 months worth of changes/tapering. From what you’ve told me, you made some big changes in a short amount of time.

I’m not at all judging you for that but from what I’ve read of this forum and my own personal experience, it might take a little while before your body settles down.

Remember though, it WILL eventually settle down and heal.

I’ve only been on Zoloft (with the current trial I’ve been going through) but the changes I’ve gone through still have me destabilized and symptomatic (though making progress) even though I’ve been at 50mg since November of 2017.

For what condition(s) were you prescribed these medications if you don’t mind me asking?

I have had GI issues myself. Mostly discomfort in various forms and acid problems as well, though occasional, not fun when their occurring.

i do take daily probiotics every morning and eat one serving of yogurt in the afternoon almost everyday. I believe this helps my stomach immensely.

Thank you Rus for the help with the procedure and meds...if you remember or know the name of the drug let me know..propophal?

Yes I was on Prevacid for years as the sphincter between my stomach and esophagus is non functioning.  But I became allergic to it when tapering the Clonazepam so tapered it which was pretty nasty.  I do pretty well until I taper and then my whole digestive system goes up in smoke...react to food as well and my reflux gets awful and stomach pain and throat...

I try to keep a simple regular diet..not lots of changes, but recently had to cut back to just oatmeal and rice and bit of chicken and fruit.  Hopefully things will improve.  Thank you SO much for your kindness, suggestions and all.  I truly appreciate it!

Hi Rabe  I hope you can get the GI situation fixed. They wanted to do the Nissan surgery on me and I kindly passed. I think the psych meds really messed my digestive system up. In my first week or two in withdraws I had severe acid reflux and I wasn't even eating anything bad. I wish you good luck on your taper and endoscopy.

Thanks Rabe  I love my Mom very much and have a lot of respect for her. She is a very strong person. It's hard for her sometimes to understand going through withdrawals. She cold turkey Klonopin and Prozac after many years of taking it and nothing happened to her. Lucky her. She can't figure out what's going on with me because I try not to talk about it. She has made comments that I've made in provement though which is good. I'm really glad we have each other on this website to share our experiences and learn.
