Hello, I  have been reading your Posta Jill 28 and pink fairy as I too suffer from terrible nausea and anxiety. It is by far my worst symptom. Ginger chews and tea help. I also sometimes take antihistamines. Meclizine or claritin. I reserve the benadryl for night time. Meclizine seems to help most. I do take zofran when nothing else works. I suffer from irritable bowel on a good day and the withdrawal just makes it worse. I am trying a FODMAP diet as it seems many of the high FODMAP foods affect me the most. It really helps me to know I am not alone so thanks for being here.

Nausea for me is also worse in the mornings.

Hi Jill

when i was CT off the 3 meds

I only reinstated the one sadly...I was 9 month out (I think)before I found SA not quite sure now as everything is jumbled up.so I had to go through & AD CT & a z drug CT plus was tapering the benzodiazepine as well..

it was the diazpam I only reinstated but double the dose.To be honest my med history & CTs & reinstatement’s are so crazy.

But if I had of known early on I would of tried to reinstate with out a doubt as I had been on for many years.xxx

i know y’all probably read my story, but I was at the tail end of withdrawal from zoloft and my dr prescribed me prozac 10 mg. On third day, my world turned upside down. It was just too high of a dose. Now I have severe anxiety, akathisia, and nausea. Any thoughts on recovery? I’m 31 days from that 3rd dose of Prozac.

I feel worse now than when it all started. 😔

many advice is deeply appreciated.

every day your recovering Jill

apart of you is getting fixed even as we speak...the thing about WD is that it’s none linear

waves & windows nobody knows anybody’s recovery sadly. But everybody does heal in time...The body wants to heal,we just have to stand out of its way & let it do its job.

Its the hardest thing any of us will ever have to go through. But you will reap the rewards after when you get through this.Nothing will ever phase you again 💕

as baylissa says “titanium”

hang in & just keep putting one foot in front of the other

My system is hypersensitive to as over the years I have gone up and down on my celexa dose. I even went off once for 4 months and ended up going back on because of symptoms I now know to be withdrawal. I also ct off effexor about a year and a half ago which I think started all of this mess for me. I am hypersensitive to smells like perfume and foods, I am unable to eat and living on crackers and low residue foods which are in turn bad for my IBS. The only thing that really helps is zofran for the nausea but I use it sparingly like today when I have to go to work😕.

Anyway, thanks for responding. I pray we all get through this and there is peace and beauty on the other side.

I have also up dosed a couple of times which you have to be careful of as well. Too much is just as bad sometimes as not enough.  I did increase back to 13 mg this am. We'll  see how I feel. I also panic and take meds to try to help. It is a never ending cycle. Thinking of stopping the taper until I retire which is years away. Too hard to function nm like this.

i have severe anxiety as the worst symptom.

even when I’m on klonopin, I still feel unsettled.

I used to be so social and love people- now I don’t wanna leave the house. Everything feels so off. I can’t explain it.

Nothing feels right anymore. I’ve seen 4 psychiatrists and none of them really know what to say. I feel I’m at the end to be honest.

Yes, Jill, we understand. Many of the people here are in the same boat. You're going through a rough spot, hang in there. I need your daily drug and symptom notes.

Saw my dr yesterday who wanted to adjust my klonopin to 3x a day instead of 2.  Also, I was mistaken on my original klonopin dosage. I’ve been so frazzled that I thought I was breaking 1mg tabs in half, but it was originally.5 that I was breaking in half. I have updated my signature. This nightmare has me so unable to focus clearly.

Yesterday

7:00- woke up nauseous- took .25 klonopin and nausea never subsided until around noon

3:00- took .25 klonopin. Very tired and just generally unsettled. Around 7:00, anxiety was coming. Face burning. Did soothing tech to counter it to wait for next dosage.

11:00- took .25 dosage and went to bed. Fell asleep fast

Today

7:00- woke up very nauseous. It is 2:16. No anxiety yet but the nausea hasn’t subsided at all. Trying to drink a shake. Face is burning.

next dose is 3:00. Hate to take it when there’s no anxiety 😔

does this sound normal for withdrawal? The nausea is debilitating.

will update again tomorrow. Still wondering  if reinstating Zoloft is an option you would consider. Still can’t take supplements.

thanks again❤️

I can understand that you are feeling confused about what to do.  That is entirely normal.  When we are feeling desperate we want to do something to stop the problem.  Reinstating Zoloft may be an option, but NOT NOW.  Please do not add Zoloft into the mix.  The mods are assessing your symptoms journal to work out if adjusting your dosing times of current drugs might help.  Adding Zoloft at this time will confuse the situation.

Did you just increase clonazepam?

It's best to minimize clonazepam, increasing the dosage means you'll get adapted to more of it. What times of day do you take each of your drugs, and at what dosages? When does the nausea start? When do you get any other symptoms?

Jill, you've run up 4 pages in this topic without post daily drug and symptom notes. You might have been able to avoid the clonazepam increase.

I’m so sorry. I will post daily drug and symptom notes every single day. I’m just so scared 24/7 and honestly am at my wits end😔. Please, please stick with me.

My dr increased the klonopin to every 8 hrs to try and stabilize me. I honestly don’t agree with this.

Not it sure if you saw today’s earlier post as I forgot to tag you😔. See below:

hi guys- I’m a in such a state of panic and torture. I just don’t know where to turn or what to do or who to believe.

I sit here in my room with my face on fire, emotionless, can’t cry, scared to death. I’ve been on and off Prozac for years. My mind is very dark. Today is 30 days from the 3rd dose of Prozac that turned my world upside down. I understand reinstating is a crap shoot but I’m honestly at a loss. Under 100lbs now.

The 5 psychiatrists I’ve seen are all clueless and I’m desperate for relief......

thank you.

Nausea isnt any better.

my doctor refuses to give it, but then again, she and my psychiatrist just want me to start seroquel or a different AD. They really have no clue as to what’s going on. I even went to a neuropsychiatrist for “expert help” and he said I was just depressed. I couldn’t believe it.....

i do have left over zoloft here that I could crush and make my own .5

is there any easily accessible info you could send for this method?

Doctors do not understand withdrawal. If it wasn't for this site, most of us would think that, yes, our underlying condition has come back and we are just depressed-for-life people.

Please see the Tips for Tapering Zoloft/Sertraline thread, and this info on making a solution: https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/2693-how-to-make-a-liquid-from-tablets-or-capsules/

I hope the nausea gets better soon.

What self-care/coping strategies are you using, and which ones are helpful?

2020: After 18+ years (entire adult life) on Paxil, a dangerous doctor-led "taper" in 2015, and four years tapering off the last 1 mg thanks to SA and the Brassmonkey slide,

I AM COMPLETELY FREE OF PAXIL! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Forever.

2021: Began conservative, proper, CNS-respecting taper of Zoloft, led by the only expert on me -- me. Making own liquid. 5-10% plus holds.

2022: Holding on Zoloft for now. Current dose 47 mg. Hanging in, hanging on. Severe protracted PAWS, windows and waves. While I may not be doing "a lot" by outside standards, things are graaaaadually getting better

Yoga (gentle to medium); walks; daily breath practice; nutrition, fruits/veg; nature; water; EastEnders (lol); practicing self-compassion, self-care; boundaries; connection; allowing feelings; t r u s t ing that I, too, will heal. (--> may need to be reminded of this.)
