That’s an amazing job my friend. I often think about all of us in here reducing our medication during this pandemic, when so many people unfortunately are starting on antidepressants. It’s says a lot about the strength and endurance we all have here, and you are an example of it. We will get there adilli, slow and steady I am sure off it. I am doing good thank you for asking, still have symptoms but we will prevail 💪 Take good care of yourself, sending a big hug your way. 1999-2020 20 mg Paxil Bridged with Fluoxetine to help me get off Paxil. 2022 Fluoxetine 15 mg 12/12 14mg 27/12 13mg jan 12mg feb 11mg mars 10mg, 9 mg 8,5 mg 7.6mg 7.0 mg 6,3 mg 5,6 mg 5,0 mg 4,5 mg 4,0 mg 3.6mg 3,2 mg 2,9 mg 2,6 mg 2,3 mg 2,0 mg 1.8 mg I am not a medical professional nor is this a medical advice. I have a lot of gastroparesis and akathisia these last few days. Its very upsetting. i hope i can finally get to 10 mg and stabilize there. though, im scared due to paxils half-life Just checking. Great job making it this far! We are all different and respond to dropping individually, but do not be afraid of dropping lower and Paxil's half life. As with all other aspects of withdrawal we cannot predict what will happen, we sure find ways to worry!, so try not to create anything additional for yourself. In my taper from Paxil I dont think I had any withdrawal effect due to hitting a certain mg number coordinated with Paxil's half life. I believe most my struggles were due to withdrawal itself - we thought our CNS was ready for a drop and it wasnt, we had an outside event that caused increased symptoms, etc. You have already done so much of your taper you should have a good idea of your relationship between tapering and your body's reaction. In fact at the very end of my taper some of the drops were the least symptomatic of all. Best wishes, you can do this! 2 40 yo Male. Started Paxil about 15 years ago. 10 mg (pill weight .125 - .129 g). 5 yrs wanted less side effects, doctor took me off Paxil over couple week period and put me on Wellbutrin. Not good. Went back on Paxil. Relieved my symptoms, but didn't work as well and more side effects. Severe reaction between Paxil and Zomig Summer of 2012. Head was affected during warmer days (cloudiness, confusion, pressure). Began 10% withdrawal 10/24/12. Withdrawel helped many symptoms, but also added side effects: nausea, dizziness, tiredness. Hyper-anxiety started January 2014. Went through a 2 year period of de-realization (2016-2018). Rarely any windows. Current dose: 0.00 as of 4/10/21. Made a lot of progress in my withdrawal symptoms the last 2 years of my taper. I think doing a liquid taper helped stabilize things on the lower doses. A lot of my symptoms have reduced significantly. Hoping for even more improvement now that I am off. I’ve been struggling a lot with comparing myself to the normies and where I am in life compared to them. It’s always so good to hear from you, bud. Hey there, hun, thanks for your encouragement. Things have improved massively. I'm definitely the definition of stable now, any waves are mild and usually the result of too much exercise/ and or / bad diet. By bad, I mean sugary. Now on sugar bootcamp. When I look back to three years ago, I can't believe that was me, I felt so awful. I also compared myself to 'normy' friends, I found that hard NOT to do, at times. But as you heal, that will also subside. I think it was Jordan Peterson who said something along the lines of, don't compare yourself to others; only compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Buddy you are going to feel much better one day, have no doubt. If a post menopause 52 year old can stabilise, then so can you. Paxil us a flippin s**t, that's why it seems so rocky. Venlafaxine is similar- forgot my morning dose a few weeks back and was already a crazy woman by the afternoon, so I don't kid myself that tapering will be without challenges. However, we've got this. Sending lots of love from London xxx 1 January 2008 to April 2015 Citalopram 20mg to 5mg, reducing in 50 per cent leaps. Sottana
@sunnysideup69 you give me so much hope. I can’t wait to arrive where you are now. im sorry it took so long to respond. Just having trouble lately. Your words give me the massive encouragement and make me feel like I can do this. this is question is for you or anyone who wants to answer. Have you or anyone you know developed feelings for someone during withdrawal? I find it so unbelievably hard to deal with, but also something I can’t avoid. The fear and trauma of my past relationship are always with me. I feel so inadequate and insecure. It makes me doubt everything and just see the worst in every possible outcome. I wonder how I can learn to be more objective and not let these feelings of self-doubt and worst possible scenarios rule me constantly. You will get through it and better days will come! 1 I follow The Plant Paradox lifestyle by Dr.Gundry. This lifestyle has given me my life back and I feel better than I have ever felt in my life. It has enabled me to finally get off of this medication and truly live my life. Nutrition is the key to health!!!!! 2008 to 2019 - 20 mg Paroxetine Attempted 2 CT's around the 5-6 year mark. Were absolutely terrible and reinstated. Was never explained by the doctor the seriousness of the short half life of this drug. 2017 - Attempted a tapered discontinuation of this drug and reinstated after being unsuccessful. 2019 - Feb. 12 - After a three month taper I am off of paroxetine. The 3 months were terrible, awful withdrawal feelings. I followed the doctors guidelines for the reduction of this drug and now know it was way too fast. 2019 - Oct. 12 - 8 months off paroxetine. 75% improvement since coming off the drug. Definitely have had tons of challenges along the way. Let’s go!!!! 2021 - Feb. 12 - 24 months off paroxetine. I have minor challenges now. Tinnitus/Headaches are still around but are reduced by a massive amount. Link to comment

Mentor Hanna72 Posted June 30, 2021 Mentor Share Posted June 30, 2021 Dear @Sottana I am here too. I found this encouraging poem I want to share with you When things go wrong as they sometimes will, when the road you're trudging seems all uphill When the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile, but you have to sigh When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest, if you must, but don't you quit. Life is hard with twists and turns as everyone of us sometimes learns And many failure turns about. When he might have won had he stuck it out Don't give up though the pace seems slow You may succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned inside out the silver tint of the clouds of doubt And you never can tell how close you are it may be near when it seems so far So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit its when things seem worst that you must not quit. praying for you my friend. Sottana
I accidentally took a small sip of champagne the other day and then spit it out. I figured it was impossible that this could put me in a wave, but I’m in one. I’m very activated and anxious 24/7. I feel totally different than I did a few days ago. Is it possible that this infinitesimal amount of alcohol could throw me off? 2008: start Lexapro 10 mg which is quickly upped to 20 mg. 2008:2013 try at least four individual times to get off Lexapro, never get lower than 5mg, settle at 15 mg. 2015: again, attempt to get off Lexapro and get to 5 mg. After 6 months, feel i'm stabilizing but go back on a higher dose because of one stressful event. 2016: go to 20 mg from 15 mg due to work stresses, hit severe tolerance for the first time and become very suicidal. 2016-2017: try viibryd and cymbata in an attempt to feel better. Also add Lamictal 150 at some point. 2017: eventually land on paxil 37.5 and Lamictal 150. January 2018: cut paxil to 25. April-July 2018: reduce Lamictal in 50 mg increments till im off August. 2018: reduce paxil to 20 mg. december 2018: dropped Paxil to 18 mg, SEVERE CRASH. For what it’s worth Adili I think you were in a wave anyway so taking that sip is just coincidence. when you’re in a wave symptoms can rotate come and go and intensify and I think that’s what’s happening at the moment . Hang on in there my friend . It’s not an easy ride coming off Paxil but keep focusing on the finish line when we’re off altogether . You are so strong. I know how hard it is getting off this drug and I take my hat off to you. You have persevered you have a huge amount of courage and endless determination. I’m honoured to travel this path with you.
