By now I haven't tried anything medically to assist me on pain in these waves, only natural things,

What "natural things" are you trying, Asi? Just because something is natural doesn't mean it won't effect the nervous system.

We don't know. Everyone is different. This is the best article we have on the "how long?" questions:

Are We There Yet? How Long is Withdrawal Going to Take?

Right now I am not taking anything besides omega 3 everyday, its harmless for me, that's not the issue.

I'm 100 % know the cause of this flare ups,

The sensitivity or nerves hyper alive is always there, but when I'm getting out of bed is gets worse, and its makes it entirely impossible to sleep, like I can feel my nerves hyperactive all night due to me physically moving.

If I'm staying in bed, I can sleep with no problem, but my body cannot stay in bed anymore...

And I cannot stand been sleep deprived during withdrawal, its absolutely the worse!

It has been like that for me for a long time,  I dont care why dose it happens, and it has absolutely nothing to do with me pushing myslef to far, or exhausting myself, because o haven't exercised for months, and I'm super alert to my body signals.

I just want to say that I didn't ment the word kindling, and whatever its means, see I'm not a native English speaker, and in withdrawal it's really hard to communicate even In my mother tounge.

Anyway, to clarify I meant that my main problem right now is that my nerves are hypersensitive to the extreme, every nerves feel super alive, I dont know what the term for it was, and you should really make a guide for withdrawal symptoms, their names and definitions...

So because my nerves are hyper alive, whenever I get out of bed, ie not staying in bed sedentary, it's like walking on raw nerves, not feet, and it will feel really disgusting weird and bizarre, it's really hard to exist like that, and at the end of the day I'll get to bed and my body will feel like static TV, and won't relax.

This would make it nearly impossible sleeping, and make the withdrawal 100x worse.

I read somewhere that's a compensatory mechanism of the neurotransmitter system, and it will happen to opiate "addicts" when they'll try withdrawing.

Anyways my two cent on withdrawal is that antidepressant are damaging and change your body, maybe permanently, and that "withdrawal"

Is your body returning to it's natural way...

Withdrawal isn't rare or uncommon, its nature way to handle that situation, and if you dont want to suffer for 3 years, you need to taper...

You need to listen to your body, always!

I dont think your nervous system is destabilized like SA thinks, I think it's your body over compensating or whatever.

I learned there is NOTHING I can do to change my situation NOTHING, it's only the TIME until I WOULD CHANGE BACK...

that's sucks deeply!

I was never ever experienced something I couldn't change!

Of course I suffered for years ( been suicidal from the suffering of antidepressants every day), that the reason I quit, I discovered :a. the truth about those poisons, by accident I must say!, and b. That THAT was the problem in LIFE...

I didn't want to stay on this poison another micro second!

The hardest part of withdrawal I would say is physical, I suffered for years mentally because of ssri's.

I was like that for me, first I thought depression was the worst thing, like people would say, I wasn't really suffered from the "depression" itself, it was because I didn't comply and went to school, that I was persuaded by my parents to take those ****!

Then the worst thing was the suffering when the pills pooped out on me and made me extremely suicidal, and suffered like hell for years, but withdrawal definitely is the WORST thing I experienced and will EXPERIENCE in my life!!! 100%.

I was never the problem and not dose you, that's your nature! and people are worse then animals, because animals stay true to their nature, I wish I had.

I will always be true to my nature.

My favorite quote from now on:

recounting the horrible deeds to which he was compelled in war. He recalls being called an animal by the mother of a boy he killed, but observes the lie of the words.

“Animals follow their true nature,” he says. “We had betrayed ours.”

-It's from game of thrones and I think its terrific! And has been so true for me and all of us.

I think we should never forget were we came from and that we're nature, not something detached, we have so much to learn from nature and life and animals, I think that's is were we went wrong!

I always knew it in my heart but I betrayed it and listened to society's lies and pressure!

I just hope those stupid choices wouldn't affect me for the rest of my life or change me (chemically, physically I mean).

@Altostrata I'm experiencing extreme Paresthesia for almost a year now! it causes severe sleep deprivation, its 100% keeping me from sleeping, the only solution is to stay in bed and avoid any kind of physical movement!

If I do that my nerves (in the legs especially) will relax a bit and won't bother me at night, and i will get a good night sleep.

But my body can't stay in bad any longer because I feel I'm about to get a heart attack from the inactivity, I'm 22 and  I've never been this inactive in my life! Why do I have to choose between a heart attack and sleeping?!

I've been to the neurologist a couple of months ago and he prescribed me gabapentin, but I don't want to take it, I dont want no drugs anymore!

I'm doing a little better and do not take any supplements from the beginning, as I recon they wont help and will only complicate stuff even more...

Is there anything that can be done?

Is there anything safe that will help quiet my nerves at night? especially in my legs as I walk on them. I just want to clarify I'm doing minimum physical activity and I'm mostly house bound, because I realized that the more active I am the more my nerves will flare up and keep my awake at night, but I'm nearing a heart attack and been inactive is a serious health risk!

Did the neurologist discuss a benzodiazepine with you? Another possibility is a very low dose of lamotrigine, read this carefully

@Altostrata I read the topic and I gotta say I'm quite scared of touching another drug I come so far, I recon that in 6 months i will be a slot better, I'm afraid to start another drug because I was doing quite well and managed to sleep 8+ hours for quite a lot of time now, but something happened last week I lowered my dose of omega 3 to 3 a day, because it just wont digest, and at night felt like having a heart attack, and feeling like when you're in bed for a long time and your body just scream of you to get up, but here's the weird thing, I haven't changed anything but that, and returned to 4 omegas, but that night I couldn't sleep it was this Monday, and did at 5 am vigorous workout to try and satisfy the need to be active, I've still not able to sleep since...

I've also being eating whatever but I believe it is not the case as I'm closely monitoring mysely...

anyway, is there something safe non invasive that could help?

Also I've tried vaben to get me to sleep a couple of times, it did nothing only made me very tired but I've not been able to sleep, and when I did , I slept horribly, wouldn't even called it a sleep.

I strongly believe no pill can substitute natural sleep and its stages...

Getting exercise is good but a vigorous workout can be overstimulating. If I were you, I'd dial down the exercise level.

Yes, acupuncture can be helpful.

You do need to be very careful with drugs, as a sensitized nervous system can react badly to ordinary doses.

That's what I'm trying to tell y'all, I haven't done no exercise since I've quit, nothing, and it's starting to interrupt my sleep, my body will feel as it will get an heart attack from being so inactive...

I'm not taking any drugs nor supplements except 3 omega capsule a day..

Thanks for the help and the suggestions guys I am always 100 % cautious In everything i do, as I've learned from my painful mistakes.

I can't seem to tolerate any kind of physical activity, and been mindful about, that and avoiding it, allowed me quite from the beginning, with the help of omega 3 at relatively high dose (10 capsules), to sleep 8+ hours practically from the beginning of cold turkey...

The thing is I 100% knows the casue of my insomnia - my persistent parasthesia in the legs especially (caused by any physical activity).

The things that helped me reach today with realitvly good sleep (8 hrs+ consistently) with few painful spells of been uncarful are:

1. Strictly following the omega diet to the extreme everyday.

2. Taking as much omega 3' as you need (especially in the beginning preferably 10+ I reached 30 during dire times), it helped a lot!

+ 2 vitamin e400 (I learned about omega 3 from a relative who cured is son tourette's with omega 3 that was stored and shipped cold to avoid the oil from oxidizing, and in the right EPA to dha ratio, you can learn more about it at omegagalil3.co.il) it helped a lot with sleep and everything.

3.after cold turkey taking nothing - reinstatement attempts left me with severe permanent parasthesia!

4. No supplement - magnesium in all its consumable forms made my parasthesia extream permanent and painful, and made me bed bound.

5. Avoiding exercise at all!

6. Sleeping in a super quiet room ( sound was the number one thing I noticed that made me wake up every time. ( I'm from Israel so I'm basically sleeping (still) in a close "Mamad" which is straight up a bomb shelter so it gets very quiet there, it's a blessing in the winter and a curse in the summer - because it will get so hot in here.

Also no air conditioning - because of the noise

Open window and a fan on low will do the trick most days (I hope).

I'm living in kind of a small villages so its doesn't get pretty loud, but geez in withdrawal even the dogs will keep me a wake with my sensitive cns for a long time.

The sound part is the most important part, if you can find super quiet place at night you'll probably get some good results from it.

7. Completely listening to my body, complete reduction of stress in life, not getting out if you dont feel like it (always).

8. Distractions distractions distractions, trust me you won't survive a second without constant distraction and taking your mind off the hell.

9. Remembering always to never trust your gut or mind -aka neuro emotions always telling yourself to think ahead what it will be like in a year,  or 6 months, like always driving forward never taking your foot of the gas thing, always to think ahead and occupy yourself to burn as much time as possible.

10. Burning time should be your number one goal if anything else fails - like it was ( is) for me.

11. Turning into a complete technical being, every thought feeling etc is withdrawal - identifying with nothing.

The most powerful tool for me was number 9 - I can't quite describe you what it is, I think the omega's stimulating nature, and energizing ability made me irritable but I chose to tell myslef it's just a matter of time over and over again - I'm talking like a chant or religion prayer, its just a matter of time again again and again everyday every single moment everytime if felt horrible, or think bad stuff, it's just a matter of time, like a complete disasosiation with reality always this mantra in mind!

This isn't a success story (yet, or ever I'm afraid).

Your body needs to cool down to get good sleep. You may see your sleep suffer in the summer if you're sleeping in a hot room.

Have you tried gently stretching your legs? Inactivity makes the nerve hypersensitivity and muscle tension worse. Don't push it, just do what you can.

Inactivity may make sympathetic nervous system hypersensitive...

Increased sensitivity to light, noise, sound, exercise etc

Occasional neuromuscular symptoms: Tics, twitches, fasciculations, spasms, cramps, restless legs

Paresthesia: Pins & Needles, Numbness, Tingling, Burning Sensations aka Neuropathy

Achilles tendon pain

Acupuncture might also be helpful.

Supplements haven't worked for me and made things worse, and I tried everything, I just threw all away, because of Alto smart suggestions, and didn't have to bother focusing my energy on a lousy improvement that won't even occur or not.

It freed up space - lowers stress as I completely surrendered to the understanding that there is nothing I can do to change things, so its better to pass the time as fast as possible.

It's still my goal as I'm nowhere near healed and I don't want to add anything on the topic...

You have a good attitude in accepting what is but there may be very small things you can do to make small improvements that, little by little, will enable your recovery.

Can you get acupuncture?

That's a major isuus for me im currently somehow managed to sleep with a fan on, (I didn't need a fan until two months ago.)it's the start of the summer here and I hope my trusted fan will continue to cool me enough in this upcoming summer, and climate change 😞

Currently the avoidance of sound helps me a lot more so I wouldn't trade that (if I'll open my door my dad will wake me up at 5 by just is mere movement out of bed, so I'm not going to that yet, and for the foreseeable future.)

But I will pay attention to it and think of something better.

Right know extreme sound reduction have been my greatest ally, because I'll at least getting 8+ hrs of sleep - of not being in pain, and later in the day when I'll feel desperate I'll remind myslef that at least i got 8+hrs of sleep, to reassure my self i should feel better about my situation.

Just to clarify I'm just barely in control of the situation and as you see it can go from ok to hell over one night of not sleeping.

So I read that study about the inactive rats, and of course the rats aren't in withdrawal and their CNS isnt gone hay wire like ours do, and that's exactly why I started this topic today.

The balance of not being active enough to stress the cns and increase my parasthesia, and my body literally telling me to stop been sedentary and be active is unfathomable to me as an human living being, it's like there are two separate entities in my body fighting each other and over my attention - which is literally what withdrawal is! The drug trying to control versus the body,  it's not a controlled situation and from my experience so far there is nothing I can do but keep this incredible delicate balance and hope not to fall.

Sure I can just listen to my body and be active as I should (I don't even talk about exercise) and just grind everyday as I get an average of 4~6 hours a night and just keep going, but I don't want that I want to prosper and thrive,  and I've been smart about it for a long time now and kinda figure the system and what worked for me.

Any way I'm talking so much because:
