I took a detox supplement during withdrawal.

I now have lost weight in my thigs, and have a hard time walking, especially after sexual activity.

Is this adrenal fatigue now? How can i help ?

whenevver i excercise. I find i start hating myself, even sexual activity. I tapered off in a month and its been a year.

BUt how can i deal with this? I heard its toxins, and if so would taking protein whey powder be a good idea, since i find it helps? Thgh i heard it can stay in the tissues longer that way?

Thanks.

Hi nia and welcome to SA,

To help us out we need to know your drug history so please create a drug signature.  Use the following format.  Keep it simple by following these instructions (NO diagnoses or symptoms please - thank you):

  • details for last 2 years - dates, ALL drugs, doses
  • summary for older than 2 years - just years and drug/s

Account Settings – Create or Edit a signature

Q:  When did you take the detox supplement?

Q:  What supplement did you take?

Once we have more information we will be better able to offer suggestions and provide you with information.

This is your own Introduction topic which is the place to ask questions about your own situation and where you can journal your progress.

Welcome, nia.

This is not a site about adrenal fatigue, we don't know much about that here. We also do not advise people to take "detox supplements," they're too harsh.

How do you think your condition is connected with drug withdrawal? What symptoms did you have from withdrawal? Please answer Chessie's questions.

Hello i took the the citalopram 10 mg  2 years ago and its been a year i stopped.

I took the supplement when i was in severe antidepressant withdrawal. It was called liposomal gluthathione. Im not back to normal yet and its been 5 months with the physical symptoms

i had tapered off in a month and the brain changes i have are bizarre. Sensitivity, hating myself and toxins are still affecting me.

I really need help with my insomnia. I was taking a supplement of ashwagandha and valieran it gave me more depression so i stoped.

Maybe the effect is wearing off? I took it for 5 days and its been about 2 weeks im off it.

I have tried banana and golden milk.

Melatonin has helped some members.  We recommend you start with a very low dosage, 0.25 or 0.5 mg and gradually increase if necessary to the lowest effective dose. Too high a dose can have a paradoxical effect and keep you awake.  Buy 1mg Melatonin and use a pill cutter to make smaller doses.

 Melatonin for sleep

Valerian can have a depressive effect.  Ashwaganda had a paradoxical effect on me--it made me anxious.

This link contains helpful information, including insomnia and also non-drug coping skills.
