Illumination: titrating off Zoloft for my well-being

I’m going to start my journey towards taking back my power by honoring my desire to live a more holistic lifestyle by increasing my knowledge around my optimum health and well-being In 2019. I will begin by asking my doctor to decrease the size of my AD (Zoloft) so I can begin the titration process and over time slowly reduce my SSRI amount  as I add positive lifestyle changes in that will aid in supporting me and also motivate me to follow my intuition and allow for divine guidance to lead the way through diet, exercise, meditation, yoga, and journaling on a daily basis.

Hi Illumination and welcome to SA,

SA recommends tapering by no more than 10% of the current dose (not the original dose) and holding for about 4 weeks to allow the brain to adapt to not getting as much of the drug.

Please create a drug signature using the following format.  Make it simple by following these instructions (NO diagnoses or symptoms please - thank you):

  • details for last 2 years - dates, ALL drugs, doses
  • summary for older than 2 years - just years and drug/s
