Gracee
Just when I figured I had my WD figured out, I realize I really don't know much at all. Rough day with anxiety and jitters, difficulty focusing, foggy head and the big T (tinnitus). I guess I should call it a wave. Because first 16 days of this taper were pretty ease, I fooled myself into believing the next few weeks would be smooth. Nope, nope and nope. OK, so now...accept, distract and float. Gracee
Day 19 of Taper After that rough day a few days ago, I've had three good days. Early mornings are difficult with some routine WD symptoms. I get out of bed about 7:30 a.m. feeling anxious and foggy and groggy and all I want to do is lay down again. But don't give into that desire. Forcing myself to get busy and begin my daily routine relieves the discomfort. Going back to bed seems to prolong my anxiety, brain fog, etc. So, I am keeping busy doing yard work and house projects, walking and playing a few card games. The activity seems to make WD symptoms go away. Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg, Multi vit., Calcium, D3, Magnesium, Fish Oil, Melatonin, Ambien 3.3 mg 1 or 2X/mo. JackieDecides
thanks for the hugs, Gracee, and I'm glad you had three good days in a row! 14 hours ago, Gracee said: Forcing myself to get busy and begin my daily routine relieves the discomfort. you always set us a good example, I appreciate that. 😍 Currently taking Ramapril (blood pressure) 5 mg twice a day Omeprazole 10 mg AM and 20 mg PM (the taper has gone nowhere after the first cut) Famotidine once a day (and I still needs tums sometimes) magnesium 200 mg at night as of yesterday 2 fish oil capsules "EPA-DHA 1000" off Lexapro as of 5/2018 - last dose had been 5 mg every other day for a couple years highest dose had been 20 mg at which point I was diagnosed with Bipolar II, which went away when I cut the lexapro down to 15 mg. I spent years on Paxil before Lexapro (can't remember dose), briefly on Effexor and Abilify and others I have forgotten. in fact, when I was diagnoses with BPII I was put on all kinds of things which made me feel so bad I stopped them cold turkey within maybe 3 or 4 weeks, thank goodness. since then I've known these pills were terrible and I weaned down the Lexapro with zero help or support over I'm not sure how many years. Hi Gracee, I’m so glad that the slow and steady taper is going well. I’m in a bit of a windows and waves situation myself at the moment. I always stabilise after each taper though, and then it’s time for the next taper. I’m glad you’ve only had a few bad days. On those days just remember that they too will pass. I’ve had a lot of waves the last few days, today is day 20 of my taper. I just keep distracting myself through the waves, I have a million and one distractions. The only way to heal is to keep riding those waves, and that’s what we are both doing.🌊🏄🏻♀️💚 Been on APs, benzos, ADs and opiates, for chronic pain. Had Akathisia in the past that made me suicidal. Gracee
Today I reduced my Paxil dose by 6%, from 32 to 30 mg. My last taper of 5% was pretty comfortable most of the time. I only had one bad day and a few difficult mornings. My plan has been to stay at 30 mg for a few months to give my brain a rest. Gracee
Day 4 of 6% Taper Light WD symptoms hit today in late afternoon: feeling fuzzy-headed with increased tinnitus and a bit of dizziness. I've been knocking myself out past four days with heavy-duty yard work, so I'm pretty much exhausted anyway. Will try to rest tomorrow. Gracee
Day 5 of 6% Taper The fifth day of my tapers are usually the worse. Woke up this morning feeling dizzy, foggy-headed and lethargic.
