Hi Lionheart, 

 

Yes, the medications can actually cause symptoms, not just the withdrawals, as you know. When I was on high doses of Seroquel I would wake up every morning with internal shaking, it would wake me up. It was so uncomfortable that I would have to get out of bed straight away.

Wow that was quite an increase.   I do hear that it can pop out after a while.  That is my fear.  I don't want to increase as my goal as well is to be med free,  even though stupidly I just went on the three I am on in Feb.  Sigh.  Sorry to hear about the akathisia.  I hope it improves for you.  

Yeah, it was a big jump.

 

I'm staying with it for now because I want to taper off one of my other meds before getting to the Neurontin.

Hi Carmie,

 

All I know is that I'm quite sure that, a hundred years form now, people will look back on the psych meds of today as being a barbaric form of treatment.

We are both victims of poly drugging unfortunately.    My recent drop of luvox may be making the side effects of the Neurontin worse.  So they suggested holding and lowering the Neurontin (Gabapentin im on generic).  its something I am considering, once I feel a bit more stable.  how are you doing?

I'm also on one of the gabapentin generics, not Neurontin.

As for how I'm doing, I'm really battling with life as a whole, not having fun at all.

I hear ya.  hang in there.  its got to get better!  there are so many on this site that are proof positive of that.   Are you tapering now?

Not tapering at the moment.

 

I finished tapering off one of my meds four months ago and I've just been staying constant with the others since then but I think it's time now to start tapering off the next one.
