Hi @Kronos18

I'm a lexapro/cipralex sufferer too and took it for 6 days only and had adverse reaction that resulted in worse visual disturbance , with each passing day I believe it's getting worse :( your thread gave me hope that things will get better at some point. I've same frustration as you had in the beginning but I'm trying to accept it now. Would you please tell me if visual disturbance have subsided for you?

April 21/21-23/21 0.25mg alprazolam for 3 days then quit. Took0.25-0.5mg as needed later.

July 11/21 - started cipralex 10mg experienced reaction

July 16/21- Lowered the dose by 5mg. Worsened visual snow.

July 17/21- 5mg Cipralex - had nausea and vomiting

July 18/21- 5mg - nauseous

July 19/21- 2.5mg - felt fine

July 20/21- 2.5mg , increased eye strain , light and sound sensitivity. Decided to discontinue.

Symptoms: visual disturbance when eyes closed and open, light and sound sensitivity , anxiety.

Supplements taking : fish oil , b12 and multivitamins.

Hi friend. I m sorry to hear about your situation, it s extremery frustrating to hear that you had an adverse reaction after only 6 days. Well, yes, they subsided, took almost 3 years but they are better than they were. Don t lose your hope and read the self help threads. Take care of yourself, eat healthy, DON T DRINK ( i did it and it threw me in a bad wave), and burn time. Everyone is different so in 6 months-1y-2y you may be completely heal. Read my thread. I came from being completely bedridden to the point that i can exercise, whilst is still hard, i can do it.

Your story gave me hope 💜 the only problem are the visual disturbances mainly at night, grainy and blurry vision. Hope it subsides soon. Thankyou for the encouragement :)

Hi there,

I read many people get POTS during withdrawal. It is not dangerous and goes away while healing progresses.

I have had POTS probably all my life. Now, after the withdrawal crash it got worse for me but I hope it levels out again after withdrawal.

hey did your pots ever go away? & did you take medication for it? @withhopeinmyheart

im going through the same. I can’t even stand, I just lay in bed all day currently

April 2022- Only 1 celxa pill 10mg

had an adverse reaction & never took anymore again

I'm sorry to hear that, @peaceandlove.

My POTS back then leveled out to my normal once I stabilized. I never took medication as there's so much trial and error and even a specialist told me that everything so far is experimental.

Now that I'm in withdrawal again, POTS also got worse. I'm in bed a lot and have difficulty showering...

Im sorry it got worse for you. Yes, same here I usually am a person that showers everyday but I’ve been skipping days or just doing sponge baths lately 😞 Idk if you have a shower bench but I do & it really helps.

How do you go about eating, are you able to get up and make yourself food? @withhopeinmyheart

@peaceandlove oh, I need to get a shower bench, I don't have one, yet. We only have a bath tub, so I have to climb in.

I can "quickly" grab some toast for breakfast. My husband does the rest of the cooking.

But I also "hide". I have the freeze response going on because withdrawal hit me unexpectedly after 4,5 good years.

But I see you know that feeling. Adverse reaction... I'm sorry.

Ahw I’m glad you have your husband to help you! Yes the shower bench is a must from Amazon & also I don’t know if your willing to spend about $60 you can get a Walker with a seat on it, that way you can just roll around the house instead of walk. I got it from Amazon too.

yes, I know the feeling. Thank you. I hope both of our POTS go away soon.
