Kronos18
Hi guys, here’s an update 3 months off meds.I am feeling better that in the begining, back in the first month i could barely leave my house, now i can go out with my friends, anxiety is not as powerful in the begining but still here, it fluctuates, Since 2 weeks ago i started working out and it seems that i get cortisol spikes after i end my workout with diziness, vertigo, muscle stiffnes, but it lasts about 1h and fades, fatigue is not as powerful as in the begining, dr/dp still here but it faded a bit, is much powerful during workout but still manageable, today was a pretty tough day with fatigue, weakness, strong dr/dp, diziness and vertigo, this day remembered me of the begining of the withdrawal and made me aware of the progress that I made, hoping that tomorrow will be a good day.The workouts I do are not strong, they are pretty much with 8-12 kg dumbells and 3-4 exercises of 4 sets each, so I hope this doesn’t mess up with my withdrawal.I also eat a lot healthier than before, fish and vegetable based meals, fast food 2-3 times a week. Lorazepam -2 weeks-1 week 3 mg.4 days 2mg, 3 days 1mg. 13-27 November 2018 Lexapro -2 months-6 weeks of 10mg, 2 weeks of 5mg 27 November 2018-27 January 2019 Link to comment

Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted April 19, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 19, 2019 You may want to limit your exercise to just gentle walks and gentle yoga until you feel better. Exercise ... Do more, do less, do nothing? What worked for you? Link to comment

Wesofthewest
That’s classic windows and waves, and it’s important to remember that that’s just how we get better and heal. I’ve had the same thing, one moment I’ll be thinking about how much better I feel and start to get positive, then I get hit with the same awful symptoms as before. It’s easy to feel hopeless during these times, but I know you’ll get through it! I personally haven’t even been able to get myself to set foot in the gym, although if I do some sort of exercise I definitely feel at least a little bit better. The thing is that I get exhausted so easily. I don’t know if you are the same, but as Shep mentioned, it might be better for you to do light cardio instead of weights for a while. Either way, I’m impressed that you are even going to the gym and working out! I don’t know if I could do the same. 2017 prozac 60mg end of 2018 prozac fast taper prozac stopped completely march 2018 -restarted Prozac 40mg July 2020 -prozac 60mg august-sep 2020 -stopped prozac oct 2020 -citalopram 40mg oct 2020 supplements: -b12 1000mcg -vitamin d 1000 iu -fish oil 1 capsule Link to comment

Exercise is a stressor .as shep says light walks is enough, this is were acceptance comes in .I am the king of doing to much in withdrawal ,theres no coincidence I was left bedbound the last few months after the last year I had. A month ago I did some building work For 2 days and destroyed myself for a month. Getting out for a walk should be loads in withdrawal. When you go back to the gym after you get better ,go very easy and slow and make notes of how your body is reacting ,just like if we are going on or off meds .ive learned a harsh lesson the last 3 years[especially the last year] ,its the fact of doing way to much in withdrawl .I believe I prolonged this process.theres a disconnect between our brains wanting to do things and actually being able. Moderator Emeritus Shep Posted April 24, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 24, 2019 Kronos, have you been to a doctor and found out you have a strep infection or anything that might require an antibiotic? I would avoid the fluoroquinolone antibiotics. For more information, please see: Cipro, Levaquin, Azithromycin (Z-Pack), and other antibiotics Lemon and honey tea can be very soothing for a sore throat. If it's nothing severe like strep, you may be fine treating it naturally. Plenty of liquids, soups, and bedrest can help. Link to comment

Moderator brassmonkey Posted April 27, 2019 Moderator Share Posted April 27, 2019 Are you still going to the gym and exercising hard? 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. Current dose 0.000mg 04-15-2017 "It's also important not to become angry, no matter how difficult life is, because you can loose all hope if you can't laugh at yourself and at life in general."
