January - Used progesteronecream 200mg a day for 1 month. Severe reaction month 2 so i stopped (maybe built up cream in tissues?)

I’m feeling same, but since i haven’t been like this before or during pills, the cause is clear

Hi there,

I read many people get POTS during withdrawal. It is not dangerous and goes away while healing progresses.

I have had POTS probably all my life. Now, after the withdrawal crash it got worse for me but I hope it levels out again after withdrawal.

Looking for some advice on the fight flight system.

it seems like mine is a bit out of whack...

brain feels normal, but when I talk to people which can be social or work, after 15mins I feel off jittery and nervous feels like fight or flight just takes hold, I try to keep it in and not show it, but I need to take a rest after.

im not socially anxious by nature and I am an outgoing and confident person, and among my best friends, but this feeling that suddenly hits me is like .. I just lose the plot and sometimes my brain zaps a bit.

my stomach muscles also clenches mid regular muscle spasm..  I think it’s something with my sensitised state and nervous system.

also I have paradoxical effects to supplements, and my body is easily agitated even at small doses of supplements like 5htp

Lexapro

10mg 11/2018 -  4 weeks

20mg 12/2018 - 4 weeks

20mg - 0mg - 01/2019 - 02/2019  - taper 6 weeks - WD symptoms

10mg - 03/2019 - 6 week reinstate

03-04/2019 taper 10,7.5,5,2.5,0mg as instructed by dr.

0mg - 04-06/2019 - WD symptoms again.

accute symptom cleared follow by protracted symptoms still ongoing

Not really Kronos, I don’t take supps I tried nearly all of them with paradoxical effects lasting hrs even at low doses. My nervous system is sensitive. I might do cbd if I become less sensitive to calm the nerves

i got the same thing while on lexapro too, made me happy and confident but was more like a veneer.

usually getting excited and in conversation tips me off when in the past I was very resilient. I don’t need deep breathing it’s more I need time out..weird. I also get core stomach nervous muscle spasms and tensing when this happens... I think I’m just over sensitive at present. Triggers fight flight ..so I try to keep calm during the day

My experience with lexapro is I get head pressure like from inside worse when I am stressed or anxious. Feeling drugged for me used to be common, while it is not severe if feels like I’m a bit out of it with confusion and some derealisation. I used to get hot sweats when taking lexapro and when coming off it but it only rarely comes. . The head pressure is the most common thing I get and wobbly when trying to walk. Also sometimes I lose my train of thought when talking to people

Maybe you should se you doc and have a tilt-test if youre really worried..? But i suspect you dont want or even should take meds usually suggested to treat it, (since youre in wd and its much likely cause of that).. such as benzo or beta blockers often subribed. So, generally the suggestion is to drink alot, adding more salt to food or in your water that binds fluid to your body. Google "pots treatment" :)

Exactly that is what i was feeling today like, but i found useful to ignore it and refocus on something else, like phone, conversations, keeping my mind busy and realising that dp is only a coping mechanism helped me very much, these days i’m in a bad wave with lots of anxiety, visual disturbances, diziness, boat feeling and many more but it’s ok, we can do that.We need to take it day by day.I know what are you talking about, sometimes i feel like i don’t get enough air at all.My big problems is that every symptom give me anxiety, like i get diziness, anxiety ramps up, i get more dizzy, but i try to focus on my breath, it’s so hard sometimes but i think it’s better to try than staying in the house. One day we will make it, sooner or later. :)

Yeah! Its the hardest thing ive ever done! Talking to people feels weird, but must be done to not completly loose your mind in isolation. Youre so right! :)Since were pretty much in the same boat.. Do you also feel dizzy even when your still? I feel im rocking inside my head even when i sit och lay in bed. Annoying. My brainzaps went away at month 4. But are now back again every fifteen minute. Lovely.

Wow, we are much the same.Brain zaps came back to me now, at 5 months out, i feel dizzy in every situation, sometimes even in bed. After I eat, my symptoms are much worse, today i was feeling like Jack in Titanic, i was walking in my house back home and it was tilting, walking is hard during these times

The tilting is awful, first 3 months it felt like I was walking backwards when moving forward. Or as if someone dragged me back even while sitting. Horror.

Like being drunk all the time.. Except for the good feelings tho. Same! Worse after eating. I had sushi today, and after some googling i found the soy is high in histamine.. Think thats what triggered a panic attack for like 3h after. The list of what you tolarate keeps getting short.

That’s awful..I feel you, first 2 minths were hell with anxiety HUGEEE and feelings of fear and doom.I still get them but they are better.Have you tried meditation or breathing exercises? I found the 4-7-8 breathing very useful if done properly, you can snap out of panic attacks with this.Give it a try and see how it goes.I hope it helps you

About the POTS: trust your process. It developed because of WD, I'm sure it will go away on its own with enough time.

Trust me, you wouldn't want a tilt test with all your symptoms. It's exhausting. Normally not scary but too much in WD, I think.

Hey Kronos. I also have POTS from withdrawal and I can tell you it has improved a lot. When it first started I was in a wheelchair going in and out of the hospital for a while and thought I was dying until I realized it's nothing serious ! I drink a ton of salt and water, wear compression socks when I need to, and make sure I go on at least one light walk a day. Now I only have mild POTS symptoms every now and then. It will get better for you too I am sure !

I drink a ton of salt and water, wear compression socks when I need to, and make sure I go on at least one light walk a day. Now I only have mild POTS symptoms every now and then. It will get better for you too I am sure !

Thank you so much.It got better, then worse, then better, now worse again.I think it’s waves and windows.I’m glad it has improved a lot for you.One day we will be free of all this

Mate, i understand your concern about relapse and stress, but i can assure you i have had no little to no anxiety prior meds.I could go anywhere anytime. My situation is that i had stress induced panic attacks, right now i’m free of stress, i explained that i get anxious when i get symptoms.Symptoms from withdrawal give me anxiety, makes me catastrophise. If the day is with less symptoms, i have less anxiety.I do breathing exercising, mindfullness meditation during the day, but it’s hard when mind is racing all the time, diziness, sore eyes, visual problems and lots more.I don’t know if somebody can feel so faint and trembling, forehead numbness, body vibrations and many more only from stress.

Hi guys.So it seems that my CNS is totally wrecked, as I get intensified symptoms when I even stand.I know everyone asks “Is this really withdrawal?”, it feels like an ilness, an acute one, when I stand my whole body starts to burn, i get dizzy, blurry vision, stiff muscles, twitches, weakness and many more problems.sometimes i have the feeling that my heart is struggling to beat in order to keep me alive, feels like it will stop at any minute.

Maybe you suffer now from adrenal exhaustion because of this ordeal , and the adrenals cannot produce the necessary hormones to keep you alert and functional?

It can happen, and can be fixed again as far as I am aware (sorry if I am not able to advice more on that), but I am sure someone here could have some suggestions.

Please try to not despair, the situation is reversible!

I don’t really know what is happening mate.I’m so bored and sick of this situation, i’m 6 months out marked yesterday and I’m feeling worse as ever.I’m starting to despair because of the lack of improvement, my condition is deteriorating instead of getting better.
