It is a very informative book and helped me greatly. I look back now and kind of smack my head abit and am like...well of course the food I put in my body effects it.... it is what builds my body! I had extreme sensitivity to deodorant and would get pizza size rashes under my armpits when I would apply it. I also had full body rashes from some food I would eat. Both these are related to the high inflammation my body had from long term medication use. I also had erythema multiforme for 2 weeks way back in 2011 and that was awful. Yes, I tried 2 times to cold turkey this medication... literally went rage crazy. I could not control any of my emotions. The third time was a guided taper by my psychiatrist and I was unable to function after about 6 weeks of tapering. So I chalked it up to the return of the original symptoms and assumed I'd never get off the medication as I was told I needed it for life. This time... the 4th and last time. I made nutritional changes and felt the best I have ever felt in my life and know everything I went through coming off of it is withdrawal. Hey LRH! My weekend was decent. I had a decent amount of headaches/tinnitus so I just took it easy. How was yours? I started this lifestyle 1 month before I tapered. I had no intention of tapering to begin with. But the way I felt with changing my nutrition I knew I would get off this medication. I felt the best I have ever felt in my life.... ever in the 4-5 weeks after starting this nutrition plan. I follow The Plant Paradox lifestyle by Dr.Gundry. This lifestyle has given me my life back and I feel better than I have ever felt in my life. It has enabled me to finally get off of this medication and truly live my life. Nutrition is the key to health!!!!! 2008 to 2019 - 20 mg Paroxetine Attempted 2 CT's around the 5-6 year mark. Were absolutely terrible and reinstated. Was never explained by the doctor the seriousness of the short half life of this drug. 2017 - Attempted a tapered discontinuation of this drug and reinstated after being unsuccessful. 2019 - Feb. 12 - After a three month taper I am off of paroxetine. The 3 months were terrible, awful withdrawal feelings. I followed the doctors guidelines for the reduction of this drug and now know it was way too fast. 2019 - Oct. 12 - 8 months off paroxetine. 75% improvement since coming off the drug. Definitely have had tons of challenges along the way. Let’s go!!!! 2021 - Feb. 12 - 24 months off paroxetine. I have minor challenges now. Melissa03
+1 From me for diet changes. I changed to anti inflammation diet- I cut off anything that can cause inflammations- gluten, diary, sugar ,procesed fast food,I avoid also caffeine and alcohol, and I noticed improvements. 20 mg seroxat from December 2012, several failed attempts to quit. Last attempt in 2019 resulted in terrible crush after being 3 months drug free (13. feb 2020) 1 March 2020 reinstated 10 mg seroxat July 2020 began slow taper. Link to comment

Longroadhome
@Altostrata hello there hope you are keeping well. Can I please ask a question . this week speaking to others on this site has made me question whether I am experiencing windows and waves . Up until today I have questioned this believing that better days I have are due to how I react to symptoms . And that I have not experienced windows and waves up to now. however now I’m wondering. today has been a good day for me. Symptoms are laying low and I’ve managed to do everything on my to do list easily . Depression and anxiety are low and I’m feeling dare I say pretty ok. days like this Come every two to three weeks inbetween some very bleak horrid days. Would you consider this a window even though symptoms are still there but low and not just that the symptoms are not bothering me so much today ? thank you Alto x Ps might be worth mentioning I’m a very sceptical person even when not in WD . Thank you for reply Alto as you say it is very difficult tapering from this drug. my plan is to wait until Christmas when I will be down to 3mg . Brass monkey said he started to feel better once he was down to 3mg of Paxil so I’m going to see if the lower I get the better I feel . If my symptoms have not decreased at all I will then bridge to Prozac. I believe I will need half the amount of Prozac so 1.5mg. I even had a GP video call the next day so she could check it out, she said it just looked like a mole, but i was unconvinced. Later that day I noticed it had gone flatter and seemed to be drying up. The next day, the 'melanoma' had fallen off...turned out to be a blood blister where a little red mole has been rubbing my belt 🥴 It’s amazing how we can quickly turn nothing into something sunny! hows your week going ? 1 Nov 2018 Pregabalin 2x50 mg a day to help with Paxil WD. Longroadhome
@AltostrataJust to report a little update . Im definitely in withdrawal normal as my symptoms have been the same for a while now with no major swings . I was having terrible swings from August last year 2019 through to February this year 2020 with Lots of symptoms coming and going . started my taper again in February 2020. So strange that symptoms haven’t really ramped up because of taper ? the only thing I’m experiencing is a surge in anxiety during the fourth week of my taper that lasts 2/3 weeks before dissipating . Last few weeks things are changing . Can feel a slight shift towards improvement or could be in a window . Anyway whatever it is I’ll take it ! so strange to feel slight improvement Don’t know what to make of it ? can this happen during taper of Paxil. I have also been in long term poop out . frightened to report an improvement in case I lose it again . This normal too? thanks Alto 2 Nov 2018 Pregabalin 2x50 mg a day to help with Paxil WD. Administrator Altostrata Posted June 25, 2020 Administrator Share Posted June 25, 2020 Yes, this can happen. It means your system has adapted to the lower dose of Paxil. 1 hour ago, Longroadhome said: the only thing I’m experiencing is a surge in anxiety during the fourth week of my taper that lasts 2/3 weeks before dissipating . Doing the brass monkey taper 4 weeks decreasing by 2.5% each week to total of 10% of current dose then holding for 2 weeks before repeating the pattern .
