This looks to me like an adverse reaction to Lexapro. If I were you, I'd cut it in half immediately, let us know how you're doing.

 

More antidepressant is not better. Taking an SSRI with amitriptyline is not a recommended combination. These drug experiments -- going on and off drugs -- are probably prolonging the nervous system upset that generated withdrawal symptoms.

 

When a person has experienced adverse effects of drugs and withdrawal symptoms, generally the nervous system becomes hypersensitized to ANY psychiatric drug and often reacts badly to ANY normal dosages or low dosages. You need to let your nervous system settle down.

 

Please be sure to answer any questions from the staff, we need to know certain information to understand what's happening.

Has the amitryptyline helped? How do you feel before and after you take it?  What was your initial reaction to adding 5mg Lexapro, how has it changed in 2 weeks? Did your sleep pattern change?

 

As I said before, most likely Lexapro is causing an adverse reaction. How do you feel before and after you take it? 

 

Please keep daily notes of times of day you take your drugs, their dosages, and your symptoms throughout the day, including your sleep pattern. You can post 24 hours of notes at a time in this topic, with a simple list format with time of day on the left and notation (symptom or drug and dosage) on the right.

 

It might be best if you stopped taking prescriptions for random drugs. The trial and error method probably is making your symptoms worse.

1. Took the antipsychotics cause I'm utterly depressed and refused ssris at first.

2. Been taking amitryp since early Aug.

3.i was not feeling better and have been suicidal since switching from rexulti to lexapro.

Why did you go back on citalopram after going off Prozac?
