Moderator Emeritus manymoretodays Posted July 14, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted July 14, 2019 Hi Sassenach, Yes, how are you faring? And so sorry for your recent loss of your dog friend! My gosh, I don't know why hardships, sometimes seem to come in waves. Oh, and I looked up your user name.......don't be feeling like a foreigner here, okay? My gosh, between the Fentanyl discontinuation and then Lexapro WD, it appears you've been dealing with a lot. How is the actual physical pain right now? And any improvements to your energy levels? And oh boy, I went through my own fatigue, it seemed to mixed with some down feelings, and grief. More pronounced for me, acutely, after I finished tapering. And then again, this past winter, for a few months. Much better now, yet, I still have to be cautious about how I spend my time and prioritize a lot of self care type things. Exercise for me is crucial. That I get in at least 3 days/week, every week.......of some of the exercise I enjoy. And then most of my meditation is a bit more active too. Writing, or journaling, music listening and practice, and of course when I do Yoga, I can often reach a good place of calm as well. The pay off, for me, is clarity. My gosh, the clarity sometimes is still so very precious to me. Thought I was a goner, many times, during this ordeal. I did. I mean I would have hung around and all.......I guess one could say I'm a seasoned vet of this kind of stuff now. You are doing great Sassenach! And thanks so much for being willing to help out around here as well. Love, peace, healing, and growth, mmt Late 2023- gone to emeritus status, inactive, don't @ me, I can check who I've posted on, and I'm not really here like I used to be......thanks. Started with psycho meds/psychiatric care circa 1988. In retrospect, and on contemplation, situational overwhelm. Rounding up to 30 years of medications(30 medication trials, poly-pharmacy maximum was 3 at one time). 5/28/2015-off Adderal salts 2.5mg. (I had been on that since hospital 10/2014) 12/2015---just holding, holding, holding, with trileptal/oxcarb at 75 mg. 1/2 tab at hs. My last psycho med ever! Tapered @ 10% every 4 weeks, sometimes 2 weeks to 2016 Dec 16, medication free!! Longer signature post here, with current supplements. Herb and alcohol free since 5/15/2016. And.....I quit smoking 11/2021. Lapsed. Redo of quit smoking 9/28/2022. Can you say Hallelujah?(took me long enough)💜 None of my posts are intended as medical advice. sunnysideup69
Hey Sassenach, how ya doin'? Even though I've no plans to taper any time soon, I'm still gonna check in on you guys. I've been a bit preoccupied with levelling out at 20mg, still some wobbles but definitely feeling better than I was. One day, I'd love to be medication free, but I don't think it's any time soon. Actually had quite a sane conversation with a GP when I did it, he basically said go ahead and updose, but it's not the pill that's ultimately going to make you better. Tell yourself it's YOU who's going to heal yourself, get out there and socialise a bit, take a walk every day, eat well. Am back at work, luckily have a very supportive boss...must admit it has done me good to get back in again. I hope things are improving for you. Please send news if you wish. You are very busy here, I note- good on ya for offering your services. Best wishes, Ruth January 2008 to April 2015 Citalopram 20mg to 5mg, reducing in 50 per cent leaps. They are sending him for an MRI in August as they said he was a “strange case” . The specialist showed us pictures of very big ulcers in Paul’s bowl but they do not know what has caused them all tests have come back clear but because he had a stricture they couldn’t get past they cannot confirm any kind of diagnosis however he said there is a chance it is inflammatory bowl disease such as crohns or ulcerative colitis or it could have developed through food poisoning etc therefore he said the best option is MRI that will give more details of what’s going on how have you been today ? You didn’t reply to my message yesterday so I hope all ok with you have as best a weekend as you can bigs hugs Sas x Nov 2018 Pregabalin 2x50 mg a day to help with Paxil WD. Moderator Emeritus Sassenach Posted September 20, 2019 Author Moderator Emeritus Share Posted September 20, 2019 Hi @Carmie Thanks for dropping by. The weather here is brilliant at the moment, but being Scotland can change anytime. If I had not caught a cold 2 weeks ago I would be doing well, but not yet stabilised. How about you? I keep seeing post about your double dose in the title. I must admit I am remiss in not getting to know the other mods but I rarely enter BTS, ( prone to putting my foot in it 👿). Everytime I go to look at other mod's theads a notification pops up. It has also taken me a while to realise that too much time on here seems to affect my sleep and mood at times. Moderator Emeritus Rhiannon Posted September 20, 2019 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted September 20, 2019 Hi Sassenach-- As I am hanging around the forum a bit these days for support, I have been seeing your posts helping people here and there. I just wanted to drop in and say, thanks for doing the good work you are doing, and it's been lovely to "meet" you here. Best of luck with your tapering and withdrawal and your recovery. -- Rhi Started on Prozac and Xanax in 1992 for PTSD after an assault. One drug led to more, the usual story. Got sicker and sicker, but believed I needed the drugs for my "underlying disease". Long story...lost everything. Life savings, home, physical and mental health, relationships, friendships, ability to work, everything. Amitryptiline, Prozac, bupropion, buspirone, flurazepam, diazepam, alprazolam, Paxil, citalopram, lamotrigine, gabapentin...probably more I've forgotten. Started multidrug taper in Feb 2010. Doing a very slow microtaper, down to low doses now and feeling SO much better, getting my old personality and my brain back! Able to work full time, have a full social life, and cope with stress better than ever. Not perfect, but much better. After 23 lost years. Big Pharma has a lot to answer for. We’ve got beautiful weather here too in sunny Queensland, though we could do with some rain. We’ve had lots of bushfires because it’s so dry. I’m sorry you haven’t stabilised from your cold yet, pretty much anything can ramp up our symptoms when in withdrawals, can’t it? I usually hit viruses with olive leaf extract or coconut oil, they’re antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial. I haven’t had a problem with them, though one never knows what will affect one in withdrawal. I’m just going through the usual windows and waves at the moment, thanks for asking. It’s day 26 since I tapered last so I won’t be tapering again for at least a few weeks. I take breaks from this site too. I think that’s important to do that, because it can become draining reading all the sad stories all of the time. I’m dealing with a lot of stuff unrelated to withdrawals, and sometimes things get too much. You’re doing a fab job as a mod. Keep up the good work, sending hugs🤗 Seroquel. 2019:➡️ From 7.25mg to 5.80mg✔️ 2020➡️From 5.60 to 4.80✔️ 2021➡️From 4.60 to 4.0✔️ 2022➡️From 3.95 to 3.55✔️2023➡️ Jan 26=3.50✔️March 17=3.45✔️ June12=3.40✔️ July30=3.35✔️ Sep14=3.30✔️ Oct31=3.25✔️ 2024➡️Jan15=3.20✔️ Feb19=3.15✔️ March26=3.10✔️This is NOT medical advice.Consult your doctor.
