Thanks, It has been way better the last few days. I feel really good lately.

On a sidenote, I quit my job. I am going back into the field I was educated in. I am a Journeyman Electrician. I feel way better than I did and am confident I can get back into this line of work with its physical and mental demands. I start on Monday... here we go :)!

I follow The Plant Paradox lifestyle by Dr.Gundry. This lifestyle has given me my life back and I feel better than I have ever felt in my life. It has enabled me to finally get off of this medication and truly live my life. Nutrition is the key to health!!!!!

2008 to 2019  - 20 mg Paroxetine

Attempted 2 CT's around the 5-6 year mark. Were absolutely terrible and reinstated. Was never explained by the doctor the seriousness of the short half life of this drug.

2017 - Attempted a tapered discontinuation of this drug and reinstated after being unsuccessful.

2019 - Feb. 12 - After a three month taper I am off of paroxetine. The 3 months were terrible, awful withdrawal feelings. I followed the doctors guidelines for the reduction of this drug and now know it was way too fast.
2019 - Oct. 12 - 8 months off paroxetine. 75% improvement since coming off the drug. Definitely have had tons of challenges along the way. Let’s go!!!!

2021 - Feb. 12 - 24 months off paroxetine. I have minor challenges now. Tinnitus/Headaches are still around but are reduced by a massive amount.

Yes, this was my first week back. It went really well! My symptoms have been very minimal. Slight anxiety and fatigue has almost disappeared. So here to hoping I keep trending in the right direction! Everyday that passes is another day closer to being healed!!!

Today is 9 months Paroxetine free! Emotions are slowly returning and focus as well. Energy levels are WAY better than they were during the taper and for months afterwards.

I have been able to play sports and workout. Which I was unable to do for many months during initial WD.

I had a bad evening of nutrition over the weekend and the next two days I had a few WD symptoms return. Headaches, tinnitus and the feeling of fire going through my veins. They have subsided now. It’s kind of mind blowing to me how much nutrition effects the WDs. But it is a nice reminder that I need to be disciplined with nutrition.

I attribute being able to stay off of paroxetine this time to this forum, nutrition and a positive mindset. I had none of those variables in my previous attempts.... which all failed miserably.

Time to keep it going! Remember everyday that passes is one more day closer to being healed!

I stick to the Dr.Gundry lifestyle which is a lectin limited food consumption. I went back to eating some lectin heavy foods (processed chicken(with tons of premade batter on it), bread, and some ceasar salad at a year end sports gathering and then some fast food afterwards. Next day I felt awful and had a fairly big spike in my WD symptoms. Went back to my regular eating habits and they subsided.

Awesome! Thanks! :)

Absolutely, I fully plan on it! I have also almost completely reversed my autoimmune disease after coming off this drug. Which I was told had no effect on my body.......lies tell me sweet little lies. But now I know the cause of it and why my body did what it did.

Well last night was a huge eye opener for me. I originally went on this medication for social anxiety disorder, which I definitely had. I would just have big panic attacks in public spaces.... especially when alone, so crippling that I would not leave my house at times.  So i agreed to go watch my friends boxing match. Little did I know it was a massive event, tons of people in a tight environment. I was alone and before medication I would of not been able to do it, but now I am off the medication and have controlled my nutrition. I went for 4-5 hours and did not use alcohol to calm my nerves as I have in the past. Went there and had a blast, socialized with a bunch of strangers and had fun!

Each day that passes is one day closer to being healed! :):):):)

Return of slight headaches and tinnitus. Very mild throughout the day. I did physically exert myself last night in sports. But this is the first time I have noticed a correlation between exercise an uptick in symptoms.

Everyday that passes is one day closer to being healed :)

Hey @Cocopuffz17, wanted to ask you, have you followed a specific diet? I'm trying refined sugar-free. I'm not vegetarian either, also trying to eat as unprocessed as possible.

January 2008 to April 2015 Citalopram 20mg to 5mg, reducing in 50 per cent leaps. Jumped off at 5mg

March 2016 used MDMA triggered setback

April 2016 Citalopram 10mg October 2016 cut to 5mg, May 2017 cut to 2.5mg

May 2018 used MDMA triggered setback

June 2018 Citalopram 2.5mg up to 10mg, then back to 5mg

July/ August 2018 7.5mg, then 10mg

June 2019 updosed to 20mg Citalopram

August 2019 cold switch to Venlafaxine 75mg XR

Supplements; 1100mg fish oil daily; also 100mg Magnesium Glycinate. Tried Vagifem 10mcg from mid May 2021 to mid June 2021; caused depression, so stopped.

Great question. I absolutely have, I follow The Plant Paradox by Dr.Gundry. I have been following it for over a year. It is what made me feel so good that I had the courage to come off this medication. I have been around 94% compliant on following it. I definitely know when I don’t as I almost always get WDs after eating crappy food. His results and success stories speak for themselves and I have completely changed my view on standard food guidelines.

It is the only variable I have changed since my other attempts of coming of this medication that did not succeed.

I notice you take fish oil at 1200 mg is that the pill total amount or the DHA amount ? I have been taking 8000 mg with 1000 mg of that being DHA, I am fairly confident that is why I didn’t get brain zaps like so many people say as they mention fish oil helping. I had been taking that supplement before my tapering started.

Things have been going good. Today I had a strong metallic taste in my mouth for most the day. Reminds me of chewing on tinfoil. Slight headache, fatigue, and brain fog. Everyday that passes is one day closer to being healed!

Slight brain fog today, lack of focus for abit and metallic taste in my mouth. It is slightly annoying but very manageable! X100 better than the symptoms I experienced a few short months ago!

Yes, I am extremely happy that they are improving! There were times I thought the symptoms would never get better and wanted to reinstate. So glad I had the guidance/help from the members/mods on here!

My long term memory was never really effected, but short term was brutal. I could not focus or remember anything directly after doing it. It has improved a fair amount but I know it will get better.

You have a great day as well Mustafa!

10 months off wooohooo! 😁😁

Things have been well. Minor symptoms compared to the worst part of WDs. These minor symptoms are headache, tinnitus and metallic taste in mouth.

My job has been going well. Working 12-14 hr days. A few short months ago I could barely function on a 8 hr day. I have returned to playing all my sports and doing my workout regime..... there was a point when I didn’t have the energy to do one push up. I now do 80-100 each day!

Remember everyday that passes is one day closer to being healed! Mindset has helped me a ton going through this journey. I’ve always viewed it as these symptoms have come to go, not to stay!

Well, this is interesting... I feel awful, but relieved at the same time. Because the feeling is not from withdrawals. I caught a cold and it is whooping my ass! But yay it is not WDs!

Well, this is interesting... I feel awful, but relieved at the same time. Because the feeling is not from withdrawals. I caught a cold and it is whooping my ass! But yay it is not WDs!

Ha! Yes, I empathise, it's good to feel something, ANYTHING, that's not WD related.
