I thought I was supposed to be better by now maybe I don't know is this the acute withdrawal phase where everything starts to get worse because I'm really starting to feel it now

I wish I could go back to week 2 where I felt amazing I really hope I get to feel that feeling again but I have caught a pattern usually around night time I sometimes don't feel some withdrawl symptoms that bad so I guess that's good I really hope I start seeing some light 2 months from now

I've been having this flu like symptom and fatigue any advice on how to cope with that

Please and thanks

@Cloudskishawna, for maybe the 6th time, please post questions and updates in your Intro topic. Stop creating new Introductions topics.

I don't believe anyone here said you would feel better by now.

How have your symptoms changed? You'd need to keep notes about them over some days. A day or two is not a symptom pattern.

Maybe you have the flu or a cold?

Is the hydroxyzine helping?

Hi cloud

I thought we agreed no phone at night.

You really are making this difficult for yourself.

Have you looked through the success stories for mirtazapine?

You are as capable of getting well as anyone on here if you set your mind to it.

So early night no phone no TV darkened room sensible time of going to bed.

The walks will help.

You know it's withdrawals right now because you have just been through taking three psych drugs and quitting them and that is what causes withdrawals. You weren't like this before.

That's logic, which I know isn't much help. Pretty much everyone has those questions and those doubts while in withdrawal. It's really normal to be feeling those things at this point.

So if you need to, trust us. We know that what you are going through is withdrawal, because it's classic and we have seen it a zillion times.

You are going to come through this and you are going to be fine. It's just going to take longer than anybody wants it to. It may be hard for you to remember that right now. It's okay to ask for reassurance. We know and we can remember it for you right now.

Keep doing what Sass says about sleep. Sleep will help with the healing.  Take care of yourself. You are healing. You're going to come through this. One day at a time.

Started on Prozac and Xanax in 1992 for PTSD after an assault. One drug led to more, the usual story. Got sicker and sicker, but believed I needed the drugs for my "underlying disease". Long story...lost everything. Life savings, home, physical and mental health, relationships, friendships, ability to work, everything. Amitryptiline, Prozac, bupropion, buspirone, flurazepam, diazepam, alprazolam, Paxil, citalopram, lamotrigine, gabapentin...probably more I've forgotten.

Started multidrug taper in Feb 2010.  Doing a very slow microtaper, down to low doses now and feeling SO much better, getting my old personality and my brain back! Able to work full time, have a full social life, and cope with stress better than ever. Not perfect, but much better. After 23 lost years. Big Pharma has a lot to answer for. And "medicine for profit" is just not a great idea.

You are right I mean I had anxiety before but it was never on this type of level  and then I was able to move pass it I want it my anxiety to go back to that normal level 😂 I thought it was bad then if only I've known what I know right now why does withdrawals cause all this

Can I try cbd oil now to help some of the symptoms

A couple of my own personal thoughts about cannabis products:

1. They act on the endocannabinoid neurotransmitter family and produce tolerance when used regularly, same as ADs and other psych meds. However they have a LOT of different effects and are not so precisely targeted and appear to be much easier to taper off. There is a withdrawal effect of coming off cannabis after heavy and regular use, I don't know so much about lighter use.

2.  CBD and THC both cause increases in cortisol when used. I don't know how this might interact with withdrawal.

There are other hormonal effects with cannabinoids too that I am less familiar with.

I think the main thing is we just don't know how they will interact with withdrawal. If you can possibly give it a few more weeks with just using nondrug aids, that would be best.

You weren't on any drug very long. It looks like your nervous system got upset from going off mirtazapine AND your trying all the other drugs.

Please be patient. You've only been off the drugs for a month.

Have you tried fish oil and magnesium? A lot of people find Epsom salts baths, which contain magnesium, to be very relaxing before bedtime. This can help you sleep.

A little melatonin might help, too, maybe 0.25mg to start.

How do I know if I'm in protracted withdrawls one lady said that if you taper to quickly then you will be in it she also said that if taper slowly then you really wouldn't feel withdrawals as much and since I'm feeling withdrawals dose that mean I tapered to quickly

I didn't really get any sleep last night but I know why everytime I think I'm free I have a setback I'm just going to follow all of y'all instructions from now on I really want to try some CBD oil

If I don't get any sleep tonight I might reinstate I don't know ✌

That's a good sign. I really think if you can just be patient, you're going to come through this and be able to move on and be free and do just fine.

I know it's hard, but just hang in there, you're healing and as long as you are gentle with your body, get sleep, take care of yourself extra carefully for a while, you are going to come through this. Please don't do anything drastic like taking more meds. I don't really think you need to, based on the symptoms you describe and your history. I think if you do take more meds or reinstate, in the end you will just be sorry, and you'll be right back here where you are now.

Oh by the way, a friend of mine is looking for a warmer place to go for a visit this winter, her son wants to take her somewhere warm, but she wants to stay in the US so she doesn't have to get a passport. I suggested Austin, she's never been there. What's the weather like there in December? I remember it as being kind of a fun alternative hippie college town but it's quite a lot bigger now than when I lived in Texas in the 1980s.

Is there anything you could recommend to my friend? She's 70 and has a hairline fracture in her spine that causes some nerve problems so she can't really walk a lot.

I thinking about trying trazodone to see if it could possibly help I'm in need I don't know what's going on my sleep is getting bad again really need some advice

A lot of people with withdrawal insomnia would be thrilled to get 5 hours of sleep a night.

Unfortunate that you decided to go into the psychiatric ward instead of letting your nervous system settle down on its own.

Do you like the effect of the trazodone? If you don't like it and you've only taken it 4 times, you can stop it.

If it's upset your nervous system, you need to let it settle down. I have no suggestions for other drugs. We don't do that here.

Hi Cloud

In your post you said that adding new drugs didn't help you.

I utterly understand your despair and your impatience To get back To life !

But there are too much testimonies here : when a CNS is already destabilised, adding new drugs only put fuel on the  fire. A lot of people here end on a new drug cocktail without feeling better.

Please, don't make yourself feeling worse. You Will stabilise eventually, its just that nobody can tell when.

I know how hard it is, we all do here. And what seems To make people Feel better is : time, only time.

Wish you a Nice day.

Thank you so much now I'm kinda glad that i stop taking the trazodone I just have this feeling it would possibly make me worse but I was taking hydroxzine though but I'll take it off and on if I'm in need

But today I think it's my first time sleeping 8 hours or 7 who cares I'm happy I got some I had went walking yesterday at a forest place i think that helped but now I worried the trazdone might be covering up the insomnia but that should be impossible especially if I only took it 4 times
