Hi gigi12

Welcome to SA I’m so sorry you’re in the thick of withdrawal. Everyone here knows how horrible withdrawal can sometimes be. You’re in the right place for support. The collective wealth of moderator knowledge here, is far,  far greater than any individual GP or Psychiatrist could possibly hold.

I want to share my early mistakes, so others may learn from them. It helps me through my suffering somehow.

I too Fast track /Cold turkey ed thinking I’d tapered slowly. I was in such neurological mess when I found SA, that I found it challenging to work through the moderators links, questions and advice. By the time I’d worked through it, for me it was too late to reinstate safely and I couldn’t take the risk.

Please, read through their support carefully, get help to read through it if need be and then make your decisions, ultimately they will always be your decision, moderators will only advise.

Hang on in there Gigi12 help is here.

Apparently everyone gets better it’s just a matter of time.

Take care Kx

Hi Gigi12,  @Gigi12

Yes, these certainly could all be WD symptoms.  Go on back and take a look at the link to Dr. Glenmullen's symptom list(given in a post above) .  I've merged your new topic back to your introdution here today.  Best place for specific questions around your situation.

Were any of these symptoms present prior to your fast taper and WD?

Please update your signature as well:  Go to:  Account Settings > signature> and edit in any changes since you've last been here.  Thank you.  I'm wondering if you are still on the amitryptiline post rapid taper of Paxil/paroxetine.  Thanks.

Thanks for responding. Those symptoms started creeping slowly after my first set of tapers in Oct and Nov 2018. By summer 2019 they were strong symptoms and I was foolish enough to continue to taper quickly.

You're taking 10mg amitriptyline with 5mg Paxil? How do you feel?

What happened to the Prozac?

What times of day do you take each drug?

Hi Alto,

the 1mg Prozac did nothing so I stopped it. I take 10 mg amitriptyline at night and doctor wants me to restart Paxil at 5 mg. I take amitryptyine before bed and 5 mg Paxil morning. I am really struggling with physical symptoms and mental. My brain is in a negative loop that does not want to stop. My family (sisters) is up in arms that I tried to stop my medications. They will abandon me if I don’t follow doctors orders.

Please update your signature.

After you stopped the Prozac, what did you do next? How did adding 5mg Paxil change your symptoms? How long have you been taking 5mg Paxil?

Please keep daily notes of times of day you take your drugs, their dosages, and your symptoms throughout the day. You can post 24 hours of notes at a time in this topic, in a simple list format with time of day on the left and notation (symptom or drug and dosage) on the right.
