Gibz: Just Saying Hello

Doctors put me on various antidepressants through the years, none worked except Remeron for 3 months, few side effects, then it stopped working, and I had to slowly taper off it to avoid very unpleasant sensations.

Now I'm on Cymbalta (30 mg) that I take intermittently--two days at a time, to help me wean off another SNRI; this is working, not without distress but it's at least doable, and it's going to take a long time because I've been on the other SNRI for 18 years as well as diazepam for the same amount of time.

I'm here to offer and receive support, share what I'm going through, hear what others are too.

Hello     Gibz    and welcome to SA.

This site is run entirely by volunteer Administrators and Moderators, all have been through or going through withdrawal.

There are no commercial interests or influences  involved .

I am sorry you are having such a rough time but you are now in the right place.

I am not entirely sure from your intro whether you are looking for help withdrawing from antidepressants.

The above does concern me as it is not a technique we would advise.

Are you following the advice of a doctor or psychiatrist?

We would like to help you if possible.

We also have mods on here who specialise in Benzos and the way to taper multiple drugs.

It does sound as though you have a complex history with multiple meds.

This can mean withdrawal is never far away.

Please feel free to browse the site, it is a wealth of info.

Other members threads will give you an insight and the opportunity to share experiences.

Again welcome.
