You're getting adverse effects from that, too. Since you have the powder, I might reduce the morning dose from 0.5mg to 0.4mg, see how that goes. You'll have to tell us how you're doing. Had to stop halfway through. Brain felt impaired. 10:45 fell asleep slept well 6 am wake up with anxiety I suppose I usually just go to sleep when I take seroquel but I didn’t realize how impaired it made me feel. That’s happened the last two nights after I take it. If I try to talk or think after taking it I can’t. I can better focus now on the things I want to do instead of thinking of boys. I always put my value in guys. Now I can focus on loving and caring for myself. By it's very nature we have to focus on ourselves, how we feel and react to things, what makes us tick. We also end up having to endure a variety of symptoms and learn to cope with hardship. When your libido starts to resurface it will be on your terms and not through basing your personal value on what they (the guys) think. Your statement above is an excellent start, you go girl. 20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013. Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks. The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better. Final Dose 0.016mg. I couldn’t sleep those nights. But I also did the seroquel those nights with the powder and it very well could have been off. I’ll have to try it again with the powder tablets. I only have two days worth of regular tablets, then I will be doing powder again so I was nervous. I’ll have to test it on my morning dose to see if I get the palpitations then. My doctor said I looked anorexic and like I was abusing. Which I told her I wasn’t. She said I should have stayed at the detox center. I’m gonna have to go to this place in Florida that will taper over 6-8 weeks. It’s the only bet I have at this point it’s either that or taper off for my. Csilover Posted July 7, 2020 Author Share Posted July 7, 2020 Hi everyone. I had to start tapering seroquel quickly because of heart and blood pressure issues. So far I’m down to 50 mg. Overall I feel better. Feel a bit more myself. Sleep is still decent but I’m holding until I get better sleep. I have been having even worse heart palpitations lately and my heart beat is typically 90 but will go as high as 115 and I’ll get severe chest pain. I almost passed out today. Is it normal for the heart issues to get worse as you taper? I will get chest pain too. I almost fainted the other day it got so high and that was mid day. I’ve never had this before the seroquel and Ativan. So that when I do taper, it may be easier. Or should they move some of my dose up to mid day? im down to 50 and holding in the mean time. My doc wanted my sleep and my mood to stabilize a bit more before I dropped again. Sleep was better last night but emotions are all over the place. My room has a bath so I can take Epsom salt baths and that helps! Was really social and happy last week but now feel the need to retreat to my room, so I may hold for a little longer until things level out. I’ve had 3 nights in a week and a half that I’ve got 7 hours. The rest are 5. Is it normal for it to be this erratic ? Should I go back up 12.5? So I just request to split if I want. So that’s available as an option and I can do it whenever. If you think that’d help inter dose. My doc said switching is an option but that since I’m so sensitive, that We probably shouldn’t do that. They might be able to split the 12.5 into half. Do you think that’d be fine? Your sleep is breaking up because of the Seroquel decrease. We've talked about this so many times, don't make changes while you're having withdrawal symptoms. I thought since you mentioned interdose withdrawal, that moving some of the dose midday would help with that or a longer acting benzo, which she said she would transition me. I’m sorry. I just trust your guys understanding more with withdrawal and they are letting me control the taper. I just need a place where I’m safe and can be observed while tapering, but I understand what you’re saying. You've made so many drug changes in the last few months, I can't identify it from your past daily notes. But it seems to me that the clinic should take on this responsibility, that's what they're being paid for. If you keep daily notes and show them to the clinic doctor, I can teach the doctor how to read them for adverse effects. Since you just made a change in Seroquel, which seems to have mildly affected you, it's not a good idea to make changes in the benzo now. Has your sleep gotten better over the last few days? I understand you guys have other people to work with that don’t also have doctors help. My mood has been all over the place since this last week and the headaches have been pretty bad. Probably the worst they have been. My sleep was good two nights ago, was about 7 hours. The last two nights I’ve been getting 5 waking up with high anxiety. Heartbeat usually runs about 100 when I first wake up and 90 throughout the day. I had a window a week after the the second drop to 50 where I felt almost normal. It lasted about two hours. Still partially anhedonic. Pretty apathetic. Anticipatory anhedonia. Sexual anhedonia and music movies or hobbies do nothing for me. However at baseline I can cry and feel connected to others and feel angry, joy sadness. I’m grateful for that. They said I can take propanalol for my heart rate that’s been 100-115 resting.
