Welcome to SA, Dennis.

If you're feeling stable, now would be a good time to taper.

We recommend tapering by no more than 10% of your current dose every four weeks.  We definitely don't recommend stopping abruptly (cold turkey).

Why taper by 10% of my dosage?

This link is specifically about tapering vortioxetine (trintillex), including how to get to nonstandard doses you'll need for your 10% taper.

Tips for tapering off Trintellix (vortioxetine), previously called Brintellix

We don't recommend a lot of supplements on SA, as many members report being sensitive to them due to our over-reactive nervous systems, but two supplements that we do recommend are magnesium (glycinate is a good form) and omega 3 (fish oil). Many people find these to be calming to the nervous system.

Magnesium, nature's calcium channel blocker

Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil)

Add in one at a time and at a low dose in case you do experience problems.

This is your Introduction topic, where you can ask questions and connect with other members.  We're glad you found your way here.

I am tapering off Trintellix as well. I started at 10 mg, then went to 5 mg after a couple of months, now I have been on 2.5mg for 7 days. I have good and bad days.   How long will this last?

HappyPup, please start your own Introduction thread and I will answer your questions.

Please start a topic about yourself in this forum 1

For now I will say that you are tapering way too fast, and I suggest you hold where you are at 2.5mg until you've started your own thread and I can address your situation there.
