I call it the serotonin feeling reason being I first felt it when I first got on Paxil initially in 2003. Also felt it when I once took a large dose of 5htp and felt it again in WD. Administrator Altostrata Posted March 14, 2018 Administrator Share Posted March 14, 2018 It does sound like you have autonomic symptoms dating from drug mishaps, but it is possible you have these symptoms from some other factor. TryingToHoldOn
Hi, i tried to pm you by it said you couldn’t receive any messages. I was wondering how you’re doing now? Have you seen any improvement at all? i’m also wondering if you can describe your serotonin sickness. I have an indescribable sickness that I experience as well. It comes in sort of a windows and waves fashion, but is extremely debilitating. i hope this message finds you well. Mid 2014 - June 2016 (~ 2.5 yrs): sertraline 75mg. Under advice of my Pysch NP, weaned off in 1 month Sept 2017 - Feb 2017 (6 months): Latuda (dose 20mg up to 80mg). Under advice of Psych NP, weaned off in 6 weeks (Jan - mid Feb). Tirtated down 20mg every 2 weeks. Nov 2017 - Feb 2017 (3 months): lamictal 100mg. Abruptly taken off. This was the "wean": 100mg, 50mg, then off Feb 2017: sertraline 150mg for 1 week to bring me out of a severe suicidal depression. Abruptly stopped due to serotonin syndrome. Tried to reinstate 50mg a week later, but the serotonin syndrome symptoms came back. Not possible to reinstate sertraline. March 2017: remeron 7.5mg. Took one dose that knocked me out for two days. Refused to take it again February 2017 - March 2017: Ativan 1mg. Took 5 pills total spread out over the course of 3 weeks. No longer taking it. 6/16/18 - 6/26: celexa 1.25mg 6/27/18 - 6/29: celexa 2.5mg, 6/29 had burning and agitation within 30min of dose 6/30/18 - present: celexa 1.25mg Link to comment
JoshD
Hi Fj, I read this and it gave me hope in a weird way. See i am 6 years out and I too came across a very bad wave out of the blue. I feel like i was doing pretty well for a year or two , just having the normal small waves and then returning to baseline... nothing to crazy. The on I'm currently on though has lasted me almost 2 weeks and it's all extreme anxiety and fear. Since it's been so long i started to wonder if this is the new me or that my current anxiety and fear are now my issues that i need to overcome because they won't go away with time. It's scary because i'm not able to make much progress at all in combatting the anxiety and fear so if my healing doens't come... well i don't know what i'll do. This definitely reminds me of year one and it's hopeful to read your incident as it encourages me that this is just a big WD wave and it too will pass. Did it ever pass for your or did you do something on your own to help get through it? Well wishes your way. Hope your doing good. Paxil 40mg - 14 years starting 1999. Last dose of paxil was January 2013. 2017-2019 fish oil, KAL magnesium glycinate 400 and Melatonin 1mg, Creatine Monohydrate 5mg, D-Ribose 500mg. Just recently during a big crash i have taken Tylenol and Benadryl to reduce anxiety. Also tried Ashgawandha Link to comment

The reason I call it the serotonin sickness is becuase I felt the same way when I tried 5htp (prior to WD) and when I was first put on Paxil. As for how I am doing I am still very ill and have gotten worse. I have managed to keep working through this and I believe that was a mistake. THe stress of the situation has just made me worse.
