How long have you been experiencing 5 brain zaps per day?

Hi @DataGuy. It's not every day. It's only in bed and they are mild zaps. Easy to forget them but they still happen actually. I thought I was rid of them completely and was for a while and who knows, didn't happen this night.

A week of oxazepam 10mg with 1 day of zopiclone 7.5mg and concurrent Zyprexa totalling: 10mg 25 days , 7.5mg 18 days, 5mg 14 days, 2.5mg 11 days,  10x0mg + 4x1mg. Very bad condition reinstated: zyprexa 7.5mg zopiclone 8.5mg, 25mg Propiomazine. Next day 5mg Z. Then 6 months taper to nothing but Zyprexa and 0.0mg again. 6 days 0mg. Reinstated 0.12mg x2 days. 23 june: 0.25mg. 29 june: 0.12mg. 8th and 9th july 2020 also tried 0.375mg Melatonin. 9 july 0.16mg. Made an error of judgement in august and was forced on various drugs in hospital mainly landing on: Abilify injections + pills for a daily total of 5-15 mg (for 2½ month) + zyprexa 3 days of 10mg mostly 2.5mg but started cheating. 14 oct 2020 only zyprexa and due to cheating earlier able to go 0.31mg! 30 oct 0.21mg, 13 nov 0.14mg, 28 nov 0.10mg, 14 dec 0.07mg, 04 jan 2021 0.035mg, 25 jan 0.017mg, 4 feb 2021 0.000 mg

I found these recent science sourced summaries on alcohol and metamphetamine hopeful with regards to recovering brain damagage after antipsychotics.

Had some brain zaps this night. Also a rush of anxiety even with harder heart beats in evening before. Could be linked. Could be the anxiety reaction to what was a worrying thought is super charged by prior Zyprexa use. But hopefully upregulated signalling will fade away with more time if I'm lucky enough not to trigger it often.

That is great news, @Hopela. I will take a look at those. I found a guide online about recovering from alcohol-related brain damage. Have not read through it yet, but here is the link if you are interested. I think it is likely written for the lay person, especially as its intended for people with brain damage.

http://www.penumbra.org.uk/spotlight-articles/arbdtoolkit/

Remeron - 2004-2005 (bad withdrawal)

Clonazepam - 2005-2018 (jumped around March)

Olanzapine - 2014- late 2017

Domperidone - 2008-2018

Many drugs in between including Lexapro, other benzos and z-drugs.

Still suffering post-withdrawal from Clonazepam (Klonopin), Olanzapine and Domperidone.

Hi,
Things are okay. Lost another kilo of fat. No spasms. Fitness returning. Sleep not really back. I made sleep slightly worse by too frequent transcranial red light therapy, 4 times in two weeks, 6 minutes each, so the transcranial version I will cut back, even though duration was short. I believe it can be beneficial with longer intervals between, like 2 weeks or a month or so to let the brain adapt. Since cognitive improvements have been shown to be sustained two weeks after treatment or more there's no need to rush treatments. Body treatments can be done more often.

I'm considering gifting myself for christmas a comprehensive blood test and a supplement regime followed up by a blood test again. I'm thinking to rotate weekly, 1 or 2 simultaneous supplements, low doses. I will keep taking what I'm already on, vitamin D and Omega 3 continuously as a foundation.

I'm hoping to restore as much as possible and in possible areas supersede status prior to AP exposure. Priorities are health, fitness, longevity and probably in that order.

I guess I should get blood test results before ordering a supplement stack. But I've already filled the cart with stuff I've found interesting and anything specific I can order later. There's a lot of strategy and research behind approaching supplements and I surely still do not really know what I'm doing.

I'm trying to stay safe and mostly just get those positive effects that remain when the supplement is removed while avoiding negative adaptations (like prescription psychotropics create). Supplementing the body's ability to build a healthy system as opposed to drugging it for an instant difference. By rotating/trying multiple supplements I'll learn more plus I'll let the body figure out what to do with the supplements, possibly activating multiple pathways, which I feel is better than forcing long term a specific and rather unresearched (by the scientific community and me) supplement as if I knew what I was doing. A low dose short term unintended "toxin" can be dealt with while a low dose short term "nutrient" that was missing will be of unproportionate value. I'm also fairly stable in withdrawals with acceptable insomnia.

Here are the supplements I intend to try/rotate based on how I react:

Saffron+Cardamom (in hot water as tea already began this week as a christmas brew)

Berberine

Schisandra

Kelp
Fenugreek

Gotu Kola

NAC

Any advice welcome

1 year celebration since coming off. Actually still some occasional muscle jerk that I don't recognize from before exposure. It's not inhibiting daily function in any way though. It's just a reminder of damage. I also got my first gray hairs a few weeks after the cold turkey. That remains. Could be a coincidence of course. Sleep is okay. Waking up at night but I do sleep again. Will I ever get 8 hours continuously? I'm hopefull. Barely suffering at current sleep amount. Weight has come down and fitness is okay. Everybody runs in to some problem at some point I guess and I was attacked and forcibly poisoned by health care. Two years of poisoning that aged me five. Other people get run over by no fault of their own either. Just a feeling of not quite the same. Pretty good timing during covid restrictions though. Lot's of people suffering now whether it be long covid or permanent V injuries. It's a dangerous world. Thanks for all who commented on my thread and sending some best wishes out to all in any form of recovery.

Congratulations @Hopela. Considering how severe your symptoms were when you first came off, you've been an incredible success story. Not everyone recovers as quickly as you have. Hope you are able to resume something resembling a normal life. Will always appreciate the research articles you posted, especially the one about brain volume recovery in anorexia. Thus far have not been able to find similar articles for drug damage recovery, but hopefully one or two are in the offing : )

Glad you are doing well, you gave me a lot of hope in my thread with your post two years ago. We share similar drug histories although I was put on way more drugs for a lot longer but if we are fortunate and have good support it seems all of us can heal if we two have healed.

Feb 2015 Invega 9mg tapered to zero over 6 month, Levomepromazine 25mg for 3 monthsCitalopram raised from 20mg to 80mg over 3 months, at 80mg for 1 year and 5 months, Venlaxafine raised from 150mg to 450mg over 3 months (after citalopram) maintained for 1 year and 2 months. Cold turkey off both.     Two shots of haldol decanoate. Alprazolam from 0.5 to 7(!) mg due to the immense stress of the ads. Down to 2.5mg October 2017

Occtober 2017 - Dec 2017 Moclobemide raised from 200mg to 800mg during a month and half discontinued with no tapering.

Jan 2017 Feb 2017Fluvoxamine and Venlaxafine 300mg and 450mg, abrupt start, no tapering in discontinuation. 30mg Mirtazapin at night.

Close to two months off antidepressants but on benzos. 6 months on 2.5mg alprazolam, Diazepam 5mg for 1.5 months. Currently on 600mg peronten, 400mg seroquel xr, Risperdal Consta 50mg.

In the past 8 months dropped quitapine from 400 -> 300->200->100->75->50->25. Dropped paliperidone palmitate 100 to 75mg (two months on the lower dosage) Dropped Gabapentin 300mg->200mg->100mg->0
