My personal opinion:  that it is a way that somebody has found to make a lot of money.

Science Behind Asea Redox

There are several studies about this product on the official website, but it’s important to note that *none of these are available or peer-reviewed:

From the North Carolina Research Campus Human Performance Laboratory, Dr. David C. Nieman conducted a study giving 106 overweight women 4oz of the supplement each day for 12 weeks. He observed a 6.3% reduction in LDL and serum cholesterol in those taking Redox versus those on the placebo.

The rest of the studies the official website cites are without sources or authors:

  • Increases NRF2 transcription’s nuclear translocation in cells for 30–60 minutes.
  • Blocks certain markers that harm cell health.
  • Reduced cell death with regards to cytokines (cachexin), radiation, and serum starvation.

Independent Studies

There is independent research on redox signaling. The Appalachian State University conducted one in 2012 called “Influence of a redox-signaling supplement on biomarkers of physiological stress in athletes: a metabolomics approach”.

*The FASEB study concluded that Asea did not help the test subjects exercise better and did not reduce inflammation or oxidative stress.

Hello @ChessieCat. I’ll tell you honestly that I’m pretty skeptical about these things but I was with him that was worth a try. I started drinking 2 months ago and my energy levels have really improved. Not that zombie feeling. Inadvertent muscle movements and palpitations also disappeared. Although I know everything in wd is variable. I'll try if I stop what's changing.

Yes there may be something in it that is helping you, but it might also be placebo, or as you say a WD window.  And was there anything else that changed at the same time, eg did you happen to start exercising, or eating differently/more healthy foods?  It might have just been a co-incidence.

The only way would be to stop it for a while and then try it again.  And then to repeat it a few times.  Just one stop and start is not going to prove it definitively.

If it's not too expensive and you can afford it and you think it works and you don't think there is anything in it to harm you, then I can't see anything wrong with you continuing with it.  But doing your own experiment with it would be interesting.  But of course it's not going to be scientific or provable, but that doesn't matter.

I wasn't sure if magnesium was helping with my anxiety but there were several times that I ran out and then restarted it and each time I noticed a difference.  And I'm fairly certain that it wasn't placebo.  It was more of an oh I've been off magnesium for a few days, I'll get some more and then I noticed it.  The fact that it happened at least 3 times seems to indicate that it is helpful.

I wouldn’t think of a placebo because I don’t really believe in such miracle things. But you are right. It only turns out if I stop. Nothing has changed. I have been training continuously for 1 year. Right now, this is the only thing that shuts down and puts it back on for 1-2 hours. But I confess this asea is very expensive.

You don't have to believe in things for placebo to work.  It can be subconscious/subliminal.

Subliminal information can trigger the placebo effect and its opposite, the nocebo effect, researchers say.
