Driksdog
Hi guys! I want to indruce my self. Spend a few month on Pssd servers and forums. Short story. I had somatization and the sick docs gave me prozac 20 mg. I quit after 2 weeks because I was scary. In the next 6 month I earned symptoms I never had. Also sexual sides and anxiety spikes. I still thought it's my sickness but also was not sure about Pssd. When I told it my pdoc she said this doesn't exist and I have crazy ideas about my body. She gave me abilify 2.5 mg. This stuff finally killed the rest of me. I was very suicidal so I tried to save my life with Moclobemid and lithium. I am still alive and out of meds for 7 month. Saw a few improvements. But my life is destroyed. Lost my job and relationship. Moderator Gridley Posted November 13, 2020 Moderator Share Posted November 13, 2020 Welcome to SA, Driksdog. Your English is fine. I'm aware that many PSSD forum are not optimistic about PSSD, but we have found here that this symptom, like other withdrawal symptoms, improves and fades in time. Our experience here is that we all recover, though it will take some time. I suggest you Google SurvivingAntidepressants.org PSSD success stories So that you have a better idea about what you're experiencing, here is some information about withdrawal and the healing process. What is withdrawal syndrome. Daily Checklist of Antidepressant Withdrawal Symptoms (PDF) When we take psychiatric medications, the CNS (central nervous system) responds by making changes over the months and years we take the drug(s). When the medication is discontinued, the CNS has to undo all the changes it made. Rebuilding the neurotransmitter production and reactivating the receptor and transporter cells takes time -- during that rebuilding process symptoms occur. These explain the healing process really well. Brain Remodelling Video: Healing From Antidepressants - Patterns of Recovery We don't recommend a lot of supplements on SA, as many members report being sensitive to them due to our over-reactive nervous systems, but two supplements that we do recommend are magnesium and omega 3 (fish oil). Many people find these to be calming to the nervous system. Magnesium, nature's calcium channel blocker Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil) Add in one at a time and at a low dose in case you do experience problems. Get supplements that are single ingredient (not mixed with other types of supplements). This is your Introduction topic, where you can ask questions and connect with other members. Driksdog
Hey Gridley! Thanx for ur help. This time my sexual side effects are not the biggest problem. I am function in a way. Most terrible thinks are apathy and anhedonia. I saw a few Windows and I was optimistic to come out at the end. But the last weeks I felt bad again. I started to think about the polydruging, fast tapers and the cold turkey. Still got headpressure and light DP. I don't know. What u think about nac and sarcosin? Moderator Gridley Posted November 17, 2020 Moderator Share Posted November 17, 2020 @Driksdog I'm glad the PSSD is not too terrible. Like you, apathy and anhedonia are two of my biggest symptoms. It's a very good sign that you've felt some windows. You are healing. It'll be ups and down, windows and waves, but these symptoms, like other withdrawal symptoms, will fade in time. The Windows and Waves Pattern of Stabilization Regarding the nac and sarcosine, here's a link on amino acids so you can see other members' general experiences with these supplements. If you do try them, try them at a very low dose (much less than recommended) and one at a time. Amino acids - Symptoms and self-care - Surviving ... Gridley Introduction Lexapro 20 mg since 2004. Driksdog
Hi! I read that smoking cigs is like taking maoi and it highers dopamin in the brain. I guess this was one of the reasons I crashed. I think my main problem is alteration in dopa receptors because my problems began after abilify. So to increase dopa is an bad idea if ur receptors are still not working normal. What do u think? Driksdog
Hi! 7 month ago I crashed from smoking. I improved a bit but I am far from where I was before. It feels like a total new damage. How could that be? It's like I took another killa med again. Has anyone similar experience and overcome it?
