Dear @saimshah--I sympathize with your suffering.  The nights especially can be almost unbearable.  I can't advise you about what to do about reinstatement.  I suggest you post again here on your thread and flag one of the moderators who have posted here, for instance, ChessieCat or Altostrata.

From my own point of view, you might risk prolonging your suffering in the long run should you decide to reinstate.

On the other hand, since, you have had a night when these symptoms were not as strong, that suggests you are in fact on your way to healing.  What you experienced last night is typical of waves and windows.

Take heart.  It will get better.

I wish so much it was quicker, but it's very slow.

Best wishes--Arbor

@arbor  can you explain more what exactly you mean by that

prolonging your suffering in the long run should you decide to reinstate.

do you mean lexapro will react on me  if I start it again ? or you mean It will take me more long time to taper and get free.

last night I was barely able to sleep more then 2 hours and full of sweating and little burning.  It is a cycle the night i can not sleep the next day is more horrible and painful for me. I m not able to break the cycle so I just want to make myself stable and taper it more slowly. As you know I ct xanax and lexapro and it seems this is the main reason of my suffering.

I admit my burning is less as compare to before but still I m in this hell from last 5 weeks and could not even go out for a single moment. Please understand my emotional state.  I was very outgoing kind of person and now housebound for weeks.

Dear @saimshah--I do truly sympathize with you.  I have been going through this as well.  Yes, I do mean that I believe you risk both meanings above.  Your choice to risk or not risk, of course, is up to you.  I don't make a judgement about that.  I send you compassion because this suffering is so very difficult.  We, on this site, are in this together, and we know what it's like--whether the doctors acknowledge it or not.

I hope to hear how you're doing.  Arbor

Dear @saimshah  I hope you are doing ok.  If this is useful for you, I have found the following sites that might help inform your decision about reinstatement.  My best wishes to you.

REINSTATEMENT

Reinstatement of a small amount of the drug can often work well to alleviate withdrawal symptoms. According to medical knowledge, reinstatement is the only way to alleviate withdrawal. Reinstatement is best done immediately upon appearance of symptoms. The more time that passes, the less likely it is to work. Once you have stabilized on a low dose of the drug, then a slower, safer taper can be started. Here is some information about reinstatement to help you decide if its something you would like to try:  About reinstating and stabilizing to stop withdrawal symptoms

about-reinstating-and-stabilizing-to-reduce-withdrawal-symptoms

Reinstatement works most predictably if done within 3 months of your last dose.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31774947/

"When drug treatment ends, oppositional processes may encounter no more resistance, resulting in the appearance of new withdrawal symptoms, rebound symptomatology, persistent post-withdrawal disorders, hypomania, or resistance to treatment if it is reinstituted (Figure 1). In the long run, antidepressants may increase chronicity, vulnerability to depressive disorders, and comorbidity.24 The model is complex and multifactorial and is influenced by duration of and prior exposure to antidepressant treatment as well as by psychosocial and genetic factors.24 The duration of the oppositional process when drug treatment ends may be variable, from a few weeks to months or years. The number of clinical studies supporting the oppositional model of tolerance24 has progressively increased over the years.21,26"

Hi @saimshah  This is wonderful news that you're feeling mentally stable.  Are you working with a doctor?  Since I'm not a doctor, I recommend you let him/her advise you.  Also, other moderators you've interacted with are more knowledgeable and can help you better than I can about reinstating.  Everything I suggest is from my own experience, limited research, and guesswork.  I can't guarantee what will work for you.  Above all, though, is the fact that you're feeling mentally better.  I am so glad.  That instability has been the worst symptom for me.

A lot of people report the experience of burning.  To address this I suggest you post daily notes here in your Intro topic in order to track and assess any patterns.  Include times of day for when you take your drug, its dosage, and your symptoms, especially the burning and where it shows up on your body.

You can, of course, read other people's threads who are dealing with burning sensations.  Some people refer to this burning as neuromuscular neuropathy, often in conjunction with something called, kindling initiated by disturbance to the autonomic system.  I realize you're having to read this in English.  I hope I'm not making a confusing subject more confusing.  From what I can tell, there's not enough research to know how to deal with it.  In the meantime, I will share what I'm doing.  First, let me say, that the burning suggests to me that your nerves are not deadened which is a good thing.  Mine became numb quickly, which may not be so good.  It may take longer for them to heal.  The good news is that it seems this symptom does usually heal.

Here's what I do:  gentle walking, gentle massage, meditation, capsaicin cream, avoid stress, eat well, especially protein, and supplement with magnesium, taurine, fish oil.  Some people take Epsom salt baths and supplement with NAC which you can find references to under Symptoms and self-care.  I also get acupuncture.

The burning in my right thigh has improved.  The numbness in my toes is a tiny bit better.

All my best to you, Saimshah--

I look forward to hearing how you're doing.

@arbor today is my 5th day on lexapro 10mg at morning and my burning has subsided as well and now its very less and bearable. Mostly I feel it 1 to 2 hours after taking my AD and subside in an hour or 2. My burning was on my neck and on both arms. Still i m not fully recovered but able to function now. Sleep is also getting better but still broken. It seems my burning was due to high anxiety and stress,  Deep breathing and mindfulness really helped me along with AD. In the start i was taking AD at night but due to not able to sleep I switched it in the morning . I will report back soon how I m doing.

I'm happy to hear that the burning has gotten better, and that your sleep is improving.  Wonderful that your using deep breathing and mindfulness.  Since you've begun the reinstatement, it will be helpful to add it to your signature.  Here is the link to do that:
