JohnKross
Hello All, Thank you for this forum and special thanks for the moderators. English is not my first language, so please excuse me if I am making some mistakes. I have started Antidepressant (Zoloft then Effexor+Wellbutrin) in 2015 due to some stressing events that were occuring at that time. I have stopped all the meds in August 2019 and I suffered from what is called PSSD. It has been around 1.5 years that I am off from meds and my sex drive/libido hasn't returned yet. I am grateful that this is the only symptom I got from withdrawal, but it is more than enough to put me in a very bad place. I am trying to live my life in a positive way and a healthy way and keep my hopes up for a recovery. I would like to ask you kindly to share with me any encouragment and support that will help me continue in that battle. PLEASE PLEASE NO NEGATIVITY. Any positivity (in any form) is more than welcome. Thank you very much in advance and god bless you all. Moderator Erell Posted February 18, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 18, 2021 (edited) Hello, And welcome on SA. This site is run entirely by volunteer Administrators and Moderators, all have been through or going through withdrawal. There are no commercial interests or influences involved. Don't worry about your English : English is not my native langage neither, yours sounds perfectly fine I'm sorry about what you are going through. PSSD is unfortunately a quite common withdrawal symptoms. Have you seen our Success Stories section ? You might find great comfort to read that, even if it can take a long time, people do get better : success-stories-recovery-from-withdrawal There are also stories of ongoing recovery in the Introductions, I just found one example that might give you some hope (and there are many others) : ☼-theautomator-recovering-from-pssd Thanks to all the testimonies shared by people who went through this jouney, it seems that recovery happens in a Waves and Windows pattern, perhaps this thread will help you to understand the healing process : the-windows-and-waves-pattern-of-stabilization Okay now, quick questions : 1. Are you currently drug-free ? 2. Are you using supplements ? There are two supplements that seems to help some people during WD , see magnesium and omega-3-fatty-acids-fish-oil. If you try a supplement, please try one at a time and at low dose to see how it affects you. 3. Could you please add a signature ? Include drugs, doses, dates, and discontinuations & reinstatements in the last 12-24 months. Also include supplements. This will help us give you the most accurate advice we can, and people will able to see your drug history at a glance. This is a direct link to your signature: Account Settings – Create or Edit a signature. Parisien
@JohnKross Hello, do you have any news concerning your condition? Sexually and mentally how are you now? Hello everyone, I was on seroplex 10mg in October 2019 for over a year and then on brintellix from March to September for maybe 8 months. I made several attempts to stop abruptly then I resumed the treatment of brintellix recently for a few weeks because it was too difficult to stop. Symptom when stopped: premature ejaculation, ejaculation with less orgasm. Severe insomnia, transient headaches, sensitivity to noise and light. Last intake of brintellix 5mg: Saturday, September 11, 2021 Link to comment
