I am too and the only comfort is knowing that others here know what it’s like. You did not get a reason for the FMLA being rejected? Did you have a doctors note? I’m going to apply soon as well. So unaware of how it works but I thought you needed some kind of “proof.” I hope you can get the disability. I too had severe issues working, I felt debilitated and could barely even open my computer. Thinking about it sent me into extreme panic and terror. I am on round 2 of dr submitting paperwork. Moderator Emeritus getofflex Posted March 8, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) @SeanTI"m glad to hear you went ahead and reinstated yesterday. It usually takes about a week for the reinstatement to take effect. It's good that you are being aware of your symptoms. I'm praying for you. Can you please update your drug signature accordingly? Thanks. 😉 Edited March 12, 2021 by getofflex soften wording Please do not private message me. I notice while sleeping I experienced hand numbing and quite a bit of pain in the fingers when awakened. Mentor Heath Posted March 15, 2021 Mentor Share Posted March 15, 2021 @SeanT I want to encourage you in this journey! I too am in lexapro taper with a family and life it is tough but each day I am closer to the end of this poison! The symptoms you mentioned in withdrawals is very common,They’re definitely rough! Slow steady stable and time wins the race! Withdrawals cause anxiety which causes us to be unable to make decisions! I’m glad you were able to decide on reinstatement! We go chasing and researching looking for the magic answer but we never find it and keep looking! We can’t find it because the anxiety will only let us see the negative and doubt everything! Been there. There have been times when I had to just close the book per say or laptop now just to get better, because with withdrawals time is the healer. Honest guys on YouTube really helped sleep and relax. They have rain , waterfalls, etc. also audible stories helps . Put your ear buds in and relax. Shut everything down a few hours before bed. Hammock on the back porch. Long hike in the woods, stay busy doing work with you hands build, make, clean or fix something . camp fire or fireplace. Also I found that being around positive friends and family doing things really helped. Most of time in withdrawals I had to make myself do it but after I did I noticed when I got home I felt really good! Now if some friends /family come over and help you build a garden or new barn door or bake a cake or play games or whatever then you will have a double whammy of feel good! one other thing with withdrawal symptoms if you get stuck with those nasty worry thoughts try this- acknowledge that these are withdrawals, ask yourself can I do anything about it yes or no - accept it there is or isn’t anything I can do. - float just let thoughts and feelings float on by kinda like radio is playing in background you hear it but you really aren’t listening to it, you never attach to the words. I still struggle with float! Hang in there ! It’s only temporary! 2 2000-2013 Paxil - 1 year fast taper 2013-2018 merry go round zoloft, cymbalta, lamictal, Prozac. Moderator Emeritus getofflex Posted March 26, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted March 26, 2021 Hello SeanT. Here is a link about PSSD. Both withdrawal and reinstatement affect our nervous systems, which in turn affect every other system in our body, so it could be either one. However, it hopefully will resolve in time, given careful and gradual tapering off of the drugs. Check this link for more info: PSSD Please do not private message me.
