Hi dear @Phoenixmama

I am so glad to hear that you found it helpful. I have listened to him for many months and he can also always calm me down if I am struggling.

making the mistake of going through other members story’s

Remember there is no such thing as “mistakes “ only lessons to be learned. Just know that now you have to take care of yourself and avoid those stories, focus on everything that brings positivity into your life, it really does make a difference.

You are more then welcome, just glad you have found one coping skill that helps you out when you need 💕🙏

Hi @Grateful we are taking about Eckart Tolle

Edited by Hanna72

Prescribed Paxil 20 mg year 2000 for panic attacks.

Many attempts through out the years to quit.

2019 tapered from 20 mg to 10 mg. Got stuck there, decided to bridge with Fluoxetine.
2020 March off Fluoxetine

2020 Oct- nov started deteriorating, followed by severe crash. 2021 Reinstated fluoxetine by small amount, until I reach 9 mg

Tapering 10% every 4-6 weeks and longer holds if necessary

12/5 2021- 8.5 21/5 8.0 15/6 7.5 20/6 7.2 changed to liquid tapering 10/7  7.0  19/7 6.5 20/8 5.8

Sorry to see you struggling.  I’m certain you will survive.  You don’t seem like someone who gives up easily.  All you have to do is hold on.  It’s really hard to do, but you have to for your kids.   It is going to get easier.  The problem is that you won’t see that until you look back and see that it was easier.  At the time of the wave, it will be feel as bad as ever if it’s not.  Then, one day, you will experience the improvement while you are in a wave.  Somehow you will have healed the part of yourself that lets you experience that reality.

Thats great to hear that you had a good sleep :) for me that always made the days a bit easier when I slept well :) as far as tests go, not too sure what to advise. I only went to my Dr twice to have tests done and they never found anything wrong!! It was all withdrawals! Eventually I stopped googling my symptoms and just let it ride. I figured it wasnt gonna kill me and I didn't all of a sudden get cancer or heart or brain disease :) all my symptoms ended up being just from withdrawals and they have all gone away :) def go ahead and get the tests done so you can have some peace of mind, but dont be suprised when they cant find anything wrong :)

i found this wonderful place in SA its where all the "here comes the sun" people are and theres so many of them , they were feeling better but just not quit ready to post a success story but very close , I'm curious if they didnt come back for the same reason most mods say they dont" just wanted to move on with their life" were feeling too good to relive what they went through" ????... this wonderful place has given me hope ❤️🌞🥰, so i will be hanging out there in my wavy days reading their "feeling better stories " knowing and reminding myself that i too will be feeling better soon....

todays a better day , for the last 5 days ive had high anxiety which i havent had in 3 three months , i swear that last wave brought on a lot of symptoms from the beginning of my withdraw... i also been very irritated for like an hour in the day its scary... the insomnia is gone i hope ive been sleeping 7 hours with the one wake up that lets me go right back to sleep, , the sweating stopped again.... but i cant help but to fear my cycle that should be starting in 1 and a half weeks , the last one traumatized me came out of nowhere and felt very uncontrollable..... but right now at this moment i feel good a little jumpy but my thinking and feeling feels okay.... a little break from hell

@Phoenixmama I'm hanging in there there the best I can. Thank you for asking 💕😊 I found  out that I have something on one if my adrenal glands so going to see an endocrinologist about that and may have those ovarian  cysts they call pcos. And may also have  an infection  of some kind.  So now I'm wondering if all that is contributing to alot of my problems. How have you been doing? I hope your doing alright 🤗

37.9 Effexor March to end of November 2020 C/T (no withdrawal that i could see as of end of January)

2 doses effexor 37.9 late January 2021 (BP/HR went through the roof)

Propranolol 15mg whole month February C/T

Buspar 10mg TID 4 weeks early March CT

Reinstate early April due to withdrawal Tapered down somewhat fast to 5mg Twice a day Started 5mg once a day April 22. April 28 was last dose. Somewhere between April 22 and 28 had one dose of Effexor (deathly sick) Multiple antibiotics and a couple Diflucan in those times and Pravastatin.

June started taking Magnesium, fishoil, melatonin Only taking those now

@PhoenixmamaHi. Congratulations on going cold turkey in February and for hanging in there without going back on. Many of the symptoms you mentioned do sound like withdrawal. And I see you're wondering if PCOS or an infection might have something to do with the way you feel. I will share something I found helpful in my recovery when things like this come up.

Many of us just want answers so we know we're doing the right thing, or we're on the right track to feel better. We want to know, "Is this withdrawal or not?" We can ask things like, "Is it due to an infection or my PCOS?" What I found over time was that some questions don't help much, especially when you can't get a definitive answer. Whether it's withdrawal or not, you are feeling "anxiety surges, irritation, annoyance and rage." Knowing it's withdrawal will probably not make the symptoms go away. Thinking it's NOT withdrawal will probably not make the symptoms go away. Rather than looking for an answer, it's more helpful to just deal with the symptoms as they occur. Maybe give in to the anger....go somewhere and scream into a pillow until you get it all out. Don't let it break your heart....we are all subject to these emotions. It would only be a problem if you let them ruin your life or let them cause you to do something hurtful to yourself or someone else.

Of course, an infection or PCOS is something you want to identify, because those are treatable. But you will still have to deal with the fallout thoughts. This is where CBT can really help. If you can't afford a therapist, there are a lot of free resources online.

Best of luck to you! You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders.

Celexa - 20 mg May 2015 - March 2016 (Felt quite good)..... Celexa taper from May 2016 - Nov 2016.....Completely off by Nov. 2016.

Depression and Anxiety returned June 2017

July, 2017: Zoloft = 25 mg;  Aug. 2017 = 37.5 mg; Nov. 2017 = 50 mg thru Jan. 23, 2018.

Jan. 2018 - May 6, 2019 = taper Zoloft from 50 mg to 12.5 mg.  Aug. 11, 2019 - felt so bad that I reinstated at 25mg. Hold at this dose until Feb. 3, 2020

Feb. 4, 2020 = reduce dose to 21.875 mg. Hold for 10 weeks. April 14, 2020 = 18.75 mg. Hold for 10 weeks.

June10, 2020 - start cycle of 2 weeks to taper slowly from old dose to new dose, then hold at new dose for 6 weeks.

June 23, 2020  = 16.666 mg.........August 26, 2020 = 14.75 mg ....... October 28, 2020 = 13.15 mg

2021: Jan. 1 = 11.85 mg....Feb. 26 = 10.5 mg....April 23 = 9.3 mg....June 12 = 8.33 mg.... Aug. 7 = 7.05 mg

You might need to eat more protein.  At some points, WD tends to mess with blood sugar.  Each organ in the body is supposed to be operating in sync more or less with the others, and WD disrupts the flow.  I had a lot of hypoglycemic problems while I was on Zoloft.  They started pretty soon after I started the drug, and I never realized the link until after I found SA.  You can manage this, but you basically have to eat as if you have hypoglycemia.

Only eat sugar if you find yourself getting really upset, and then only a bit to see if you can your blood sugar up a bit, but not so high that you crash afterward.  Eat hotdogs, cheese sticks, salami, ham slices, peanut butter, and, if you feel you can cooks, chicken salad — stiff you can buy at the store and have ready with much prep.

🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 You are everything @rosetta , I’ve been being a little too paranoid with what I been eating to the point if it’s not “Whole Foods” I don’t eat  or eat something super plain like just Bell peppers or or almonds , I’m a original natural worrier by nature so this whole wd thing and eating and getting setback are a big stress for me , I don’t want to mess up , so if I have a list like the one you gave me I can take some stress off myself and eat and relax , ty so very much

I think the vaccine is unlikely to cause you much harm compared to COVID.  If you do feel worse afterward, I doubt you will be able to tell if it was the vaccine or a wave.  I thought about this a long time, and I couldn’t identify anything in the vaccine that I thought would intensify PWS.  I almost waited too long.  My daughter was exposed 13 days after my second shot.

Getting COVID without the vaccine is much more dangerous, IMO.  This new strain is very contagious.  Kids are catching now, and they are catching it from other kids.  School starts soon.  I think you should get it ASAP.

You can read on my thread about how I felt after the second shot.  I did feel crummy, but it was worth it.  I got the vaccine because the sedation drugs, if I had to be intubated, would cause more damage to me than the vaccine.  I took a benzo at one time.  So, I can’t take one again.  However, I think that even were that not an issue, I would get vaccinated.  Generally, I am very concerned about what vaccines do and how unnecessarily harmful they can be.  I have never had a flu shot.  COVID is one of the illnesses for which vaccines are warranted.

I would get the Moderna vaccine if I were you.  My husband is having long COVID symptoms after catching COVID despite his Pfizer vaccine.  I did not catch it even though my daughter sleeps in my bed every night.  He sleeps elsewhere, but he caught it.  So, perhaps Moderna is better or it could be coincidence.  It is very scary to think what might have happened if we were not vaccinated.
