Thank you @RosettaI was praying you’d chime in because I know you do your research and I just can’t right now , but you are right school is starting and I need to get it.... is there any story on sa about adverse reaction to ssri people who got the vaccine ?? I am too very sensitive by nature to everything..... I’m due for my cycle in 8 days should I plan my first dose around this , how should I plan it

Here’s the thread:  https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/22542-coronavirus-covid19-and-psychiatric-drug-tapering-withdrawal-covid19-vaccine/

Alto’s two cents post is there.  In a nutshell, SA encourages people to get the shot unless a doctor feels they are too fragile for reasons having nothing to do with PWS — severely allergic to the ingredients in the vaccine, etc.

There are stories on SA of people who contracted COVID and have been set back in their recovery.

You might not want to get the shot the same time as your cycle if that makes you symptomatic.

I remember my cycle set me off at times, you might not want to add vaccine side effects  on top of that.

Your post did say you could get tested weekly instead of the vaccine.

That might be an option for now if your still really symptomatic.

Some people can take vaccines in WD just fine while some can have a set back, like everything its individual.

@Phoenixmama  Sometimes I feel like I am not a part of the world, I am here but not on the same level as everyone else. Disconnected from people. I get panicky and try and force myself to feel connected.  I have to step back and tell myself my brain is not working right and it only makes me feel worse when I try and force it.  I tell myself a lot now that " I am okay at this moment".  That grounds me to reality.

Hang in there, there is so many unanswered and weird stuff that goes on with this.  Sometimes we just have to say well this is a new one and I am okay at this moment.  You don't want to get caught up in the thoughts running around your brain.  They are very morphed and for the most part not even real.  So in a nut shell they are just thoughts. Stay in the moment and what is real around you.

Remember you are going to get  through this one day at a time. 🤗

It sounds like depersonalization and or de realisation.  This is a very common wd symptom.  I still experience it but it’s gradually getting milder.  it should for you too.

Some people feel that contrast caused symptoms.  There’s a thread in Symptoms.

I don’t want to say it won’t because anything is possible, but is waiting until your period is close to over a big problem?  If so, I would get it.  If you can wait you might as well do so provided that you can keep yourself safe for the next 6 weeks.  You are working in the medical field?  Are you working with COVID patients or people who might have Covid?

If everyone is wearing masks all the places you have to go, you can wait, probably.  But don’t delay any longer than you have to.  There are 3 weeks between shots.  If the kids play sports, they will probably get it.  If they have symptoms, you need to isolate them if you are not vaccinated.  That’s not fun. I would keep them out of sports until you are fully vaccinated.

Having a period during prolonged withdrawal can cause a lot of symptoms of WD to increase in severity.  Headaches, particularly tension headaches, were a problem for me, and still are sometimes.  You could be having a lot of issues with your muscles caused by WD, and that might explain the difficulty swallowing as well as all the other aches.  Dizziness is, of course, a common WD symptom.  I really doubt you have an aneurysm or tumor.  I think you are going to worry about that during most of your waves.  It could be an intrusive thought or an example of catastrophizing — a very concerning explanation for headaches that feel different than normal headaches.  It’s just as likely or more that it simply muscle cramps caused by WD.

Oh, it’s an NSAID.  That’s good as it has no steroid.  It’s OTC.  You could try it, but one never knows what will affect us.  You might react to the menthol or the NSAID.

How much is in the mag pills — the milligrams?

Heat was my choice for pain.  It didn’t always help much, but sometimes it did.  You can get OTC heat patches that stick on and last 6-8 hours.

Too much mag will cause issues.  Diarrhea usually.  Alto recommends we dissolve it in water and sip it through the day.  I can’t stand the way it tastes.  I’ve had a very strong olfactory sense because of WD.  I’d rather drink mag down and chase it with something.  I end up not taking much as this is a hassle.

Why do you think you have Covid?  You weren’t exposed, right?  Are there particular reasons or is it more a general fear because of flu symptoms?  I’ve had a cough for months.  It’s nearly gone.  It was gone for days and came back for 1/2 an hour today.  I always test negative.  I think it’s something else.  Everything else you are suffering could be WD.  In fact, even the cough if it’s caused by muscle spasms.

@Phoenixmama hey hang in there I had that cough and acid burp thing you are talking about couple months ago, I thought it was Covid, it was not, please breath, I know you are going through it, especially with this pandemic it can be very rough. Try to relax , you will slowly recover out of this. For the most part everything you are describing seems to be WD. So hang on , try to distract yourself with something else if you can please

2018 - Zoloft for 5 days then CT due to severe nausea , no severe withdrawals and no adverse reaction.

OCT 2020- vitamin D (5000iu) -which I know now is too high dosage and looking back it now I realize it was causing mood issues, which led me to search for ADs.

2021 - Paxil 3 days  (Feb 16,17,18)CT due to severe nausea ( side note day of CT I got my second dose of covid 19 vaccine which could have further destabilized my CNS) then 4 weeks later severe adverse reaction that included every single WD symptom on here.

2021- month out ( April 05, 07)not knowing what was going on went to ER twice and was placed on hydroxyzine and Reglan (anti-nausea) ( which I know now affects serotonin levels also) nothing helped.

Then went to two different psychiatrists one who referred me to GI for the nausea denying Paxil had anything to do with my symptoms, the second one prescribed me Buspirone Klonopin, and Trazadone ( I refused to take neither , thank God) I had feeling it still was the Paxil.

April 30th -CT everything Bc nothing was helping and miraculously found this website SA and saw every symptom I was going through.

Currently no drugs, only fish oil in the evenings. !!!
