I understand.

 

Even before my WD I had anaphylaxis and went into cardiac arrest and then about 10 years later I got a flu shot and ended up hospitalized for a week with pneumonia, NO flu.

My body just goes nuts reacting to things.

 

You can look into a medical exemption, but you may have to get the help of a different doctor.

Not for good, just one to help you with the paperwork for that and respects personal choice for legitimate medical reasons. 

 

You have to realize if your job wants you to get it, their not going to assist you, but they have to accept the medical exemption if authorized.  You just may have to look round the internet for groups that assist people in your state with these issues.

 

But informing them the only shot they can mandate is the one with the Cormidity label on it should get you some time. As of the 23rd they had not yet gone into production but once they start rolling out, who can say how long until they are in your city? 

 

A month? 3?

No, neither the Johnson and Johnson or Moderna are "Approved".

Their still under Emergency Use Authorization like the Pfizer.

 

The temporary disability would be for the sequelae to the AD Withdrawal syndrome.

It's not permanent, but as someone in the medical field you should qualify.

They can't have you making medical errors while your sick because of the difficulty thinking, etc.

 

Most persons I know get approved in 6 month increments.

For some, that's all they need, some need a year, etc.

Well, the good news is you have this site to print out information from.

There's a thread on how to talk to your doctor about anti depressant WD, etc.

 

You could print out or discuss how difficult the symptoms are and you don't feel able to work and your afraid of making errors, which I'm sure is not a lie.

 

Again, each state is different, but here any doctor can put you out on medical leave for 30 days, no questions asked and you can't be dismissed.  That should give you time.  You may have to be seen by a psychiatrist for a more official diagnosis, but that would help actually. The doctor would or should know better how to assist with that temporary disability, or once you get started, human resources.  

 

Even if your not going through their private insurance, if your not able to work it may be federal disability insurance for the 6 months, etc.

 

If your too sick to work,  your too sick to work.

It's not based on how long you've been with a company if your qualify as temporarily disabled or not.

That's the doctors call.

 

Even if you don't have enough hours through the employers insurance, if you can't work temporarily it's a different category for payments for your time out of work, AND you can't be fired for being out.

 

Temporary disability is NOT the same a sick leave, in that sense.

It's a different category.

One might expect your boss to have no interest in helping you, but then you need to find out who can.

Are you in California?

I just googled " temporary disability california" and this popped up.

This is through the state, though, I think, not federal but they may be subsidizing it.

 

State Disability Insurance (ca.gov)

 

You have to realize this isn't something that's going to be accomplished by sending "messages" to doctors. Your going to have to set an appointment and go in if your serious.

 

That being said, if it's something you wanted anyway, regardless of trying to just get a medical exemption for the shot, than go for it.

 

If your just interested in a medical waiver, than your employer may not yet know they can't dismiss you for not having a shot that's not "approved". They may not understand or have been explained the legal difference between the "approved" shot not yet available and those just out under EU authorization, and that they are going to be liable if they force anyone to get one of the 3 unapproved shots. 

 

That "should" allow you some time to come to a decision as to what other options you have or are willing to make in regards to changing employment.  But my concern is that with the WD, You may not be in a place to do all of that right now.

Just to be sure we're on the same page, when I say they CAN'T fire you for not having one of the UN approved shots, I mean they don't have the legal authority to do so under the FDA's ruling that this new shot that will be coming out on the market soon IS approved. In theory, they can only fire you for not taking an APPROVED Vaccine.

 

So, they may let you go, but now that this new one is approved and we're all just waiting for it to hit the market and become available, if they fire you BEFORE that time you have a legal case since they are now the one's "forcing" you to take a shot not approved when the government is in the process of getting the approved one out on the market, and it's not your fault the approved one is not in your area yet.

 

That's what I'm trying to get at.  I'm not an attorney and this is not legal advice, but you could file a "hostile workplace" form stating that they don't have the right to force you to take any vaccine other than the approved one, which that alone may prevent them from firing you until the Cormidity shot comes out, since they won't want the law suit your threatening to file, and if they do fire you anyway, your in a better place legally since their IS an approved shot on the way.

I think they are rushing.

I think:

 

number 1, pfizer has all these vials about to expire they aren't going to get paid for if they go bad.  Lol.

number 2, they want people to think the pfizer shot and the Cormifity shot are the SAME THING.

I think they want people to think the pfizer shot is the one "approved" so they'll take it.

 

The suspicion, well let's say, the "talking point" going around, is that the Approved Cormidity shot, while, in theory, may contain the same ingredients as the current Pfizer shot which Did have it's Emergency Use renewed on the 23rd, is that it may be a much weaker version of whatever active ingredients they believe is possibly to blame for the adverse reactions that are being reported to the Pfizer shot.

 

If you read the wording carefully, it does not say they are the exact same "formulation", only that they have the same ingredients:

 

"WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN COMIRNATY (COVID-19 VACCINE, mRNA) AND THE PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE?

 

COMIRNATY (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine include the following ingredients: mRNA, lipids ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate), 2 [(polyethylene glycol)-2000]-N,Nditetradecylacetamide, 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, and cholesterol), potassium chloride, monobasic potassium phosphate, sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate, and sucrose."

 

This is not a trivial thing, because if I make 2 candy bars with the same 12 ingredients, but put 6 times as much sugar in one than the other, that one it might kill the diabetic.

 

This would make a lot of sense both legally and medically, since now if it's "approved", somebody has to "pay" if people are mandated to take it by law and they have an issue or injury. So it makes sense a "weaker" shot would be "safer".

 

This is what clinical trials are, not each dose has the same amount of certain ingredients in them.

So someone getting a pfizer shot today in New York may be getting 2 times of an ingredient than a shot in Ohio. This is how they do trials.  They know what you got by the lot number.  They then wait to see how many reports or injury come back, and deduce by that how much of what ingredients are problematic.  Not everybody getting one of these pfizer shots is getting the same thing, and then some of them are getting placebos without knowing it, thinking now its safe to go see grandma.

 

They are also very careful in their wording in the next paragraph when they are asked has the cormirity shot been used before, and if you read it careful, it doesn't  say it has, only that its now approved, Notice the LAST LINE:

 

"HAVE COMIRNATY (COVID-19 VACCINE, mRNA) AND THE PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE BEEN USED BEFORE? In clinical trials, approximately 23,000 individuals 12 years of age and older have received at least 1 dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. Data from these clinical trials supported the Emergency Use Authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and the approval of COMIRNATY (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA). Millions of individuals have received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine under EUA since December 11, 2020."

 

Ok, so, NO, it does not say that whatever the final formulation that ends up being in The Comirnaty shot had  YET been used in the clinical trials, only that millions of individuals had the pfizer version and based on that, the cormirnaty shot would now be approved based ON Those trials.

 

And if we don't want to be legally responsible for adverse reactions, we might make a very weak shot,

like the baker would only put a tiny bit of sugar in the candy bar if they know its for a diabetic.

 

Do you see how they word it to make you think one thing without actually saying it?

Talk to HR, and get an appointment with a doctor, go to urgent care, whatever you have to do.  I don’t think it’s likely the vaccine will hurt you, but make the effort just in case.  You can’t just wait for this doctor to respond.  You have to be proactive.

You are not asking for an excuse.  You just need to delay a bit until your immune system calms down, and there’s no risk right now that you will catch it again.  If I was a patient in your office, I would be very irritated that they won’t let you stay out until the cough us gone.  You could be passing it right now.  It’s absurd.

Considering how dangerous this Virus is I agree 100%.

 

Regardless what we "think" we know about this Virus this continues to change in real time. This is unconscionable to the general public to "force" people to work while they are still symptomatic this close to the beginning of onset of illness.

Today I have really bed memory lol well it keeps starting and stopping  , I have a headache on the back of my brain but not too bad not as bad as when I had covid , also my legs are achy but not that bad … today I woke up with a lot of energy and deep cleaned the kitchen , then my mom who talks a lot came over and I stayed talking to her for about an hour before my head started hurting and I became feeling unwell lol so now I’m in my cozy bed with my weight blanket which is one of the things that has gotten me this far ☺️😌
