Here's my notes from SA regarding medical treatment:
Avoid Floxing antibiotics- cipro, fluoroquinolone,

A partial list of fluoroquinolone medications

ciprofloxacin (Cipro),

gemifloxacin (Factive),

levofloxacin (Levaquin),

moxifloxacin (Avelox),

norfloxacin (Noroxin), and

ofloxacin (Floxin).

The two antibiotics  that seem old and ok- macrobid and amoxicillin

flagyl or clindamycin  were listed instead of macrobid

Use propofol whenever you can for surgery

Let them know you have autonomic instability due to withdrawal syndrome.

Carbocaine instead of novacaine. Novacaine contains epinephrine, carbocaine does not, but has to be administered often.

Good.  I’m glad you feel better.  There may have been some reason for this, some sort of sensitivity, but you may never know what it was.

@Phoenixmama you are doing great thank you for helping me too and everyone on this site I am still working through my WD but feeling so much better than where I was.

2018 - Zoloft for 5 days then CT due to severe nausea , no severe withdrawals and no adverse reaction.

OCT 2020- vitamin D (5000iu) -which I know now is too high dosage and looking back it now I realize it was causing mood issues, which led me to search for ADs.

2021 - Paxil 3 days  (Feb 16,17,18)CT due to severe nausea ( side note day of CT I got my second dose of covid 19 vaccine which could have further destabilized my CNS) then 4 weeks later severe adverse reaction that included every single WD symptom on here.

2021- month out ( April 05, 07)not knowing what was going on went to ER twice and was placed on hydroxyzine and Reglan (anti-nausea) ( which I know now affects serotonin levels also) nothing helped.

Then went to two different psychiatrists one who referred me to GI for the nausea denying Paxil had anything to do with my symptoms, the second one prescribed me Buspirone Klonopin, and Trazadone ( I refused to take neither , thank God) I had feeling it still was the Paxil.

April 30th -CT everything Bc nothing was helping and miraculously found this website SA and saw every symptom I was going through.

Currently no drugs, only fish oil in the evenings. !!!

Yes it is good that we have support from other members who understand what we are going through.

However, there may come a time when there may not be support from other members, possibly because they are not online and you might be desperate, or they might have moved on with their own lives.  For whatever reason I think it is a good idea to start learning now how to help yourself so that if/when you hit another rough spot (and this can happen for non-WD issues too), you have some non drug coping tools to help you get through it.

With regards to WD issues, this could be as simple as going through your topic whilst you are feeling reasonable and copying and pasting the supportive posts into a word document and maybe even printing them off and have them somewhere that they are easily accessible.  That way you will have some "immediate" support without relying on other members.

This is excellent advice for ALL of us for numerous reasons. I only found the answer to: "Is this serious problem WD or Covid accidentally by going through posts from 5 years ago.

As we all get older and wiser in Our journey, going back and re reading posts and advice from other members will give us different "Insights" then what we profited from in the past.

I suggest copy-pasting important parts and then printing them out.  I think people have to realize as things progress into winter and 2022, internet and electricity may not be available for certain areas for periods of time as health mandates come and go and people change professions, etc.

It would behoove everyone to prepare to be more self sufficient in all areas of their life going forward.

I stopped getting notifications for your posts, glad to see your doing fairly well!

Have a great weekend!

That's good to hear.

I had a similar thing happen with laughing.  I used to think something was funny but I didn't have the energy to really laugh, externalise it.  Then there came a time when I found myself laughing properly.

@Phoenixmama you sound great!! And I'm so glad you started playing music. Yes, unfortunately the book I had is called Recovery and Renewal. I've had some great coaching sessions with Baylissa and I used to subscribe to her  group online, also went in her video chat rooms (I don't necessarily recommend that part), but she is great. I'm glad you are finding inspiration with her. I used to read the success stories at the end of the book constantly when I was trying to avoid screen light at night. *Hugs*

jittery inside my body (not always but more then the previous months )

always thinking about death (not just me but everyone)

brain pain in different places all day for 5 days (which is setting off my health anxiety)

scared to plan anything

gut feelings that im going to die and leave my youngest daughter before she can fen for her shelf

feeling i will be stuck like this forever

intrusive thoughts about anything and everything

also i feel really high sensitive ( very jumpy and my nerves are easy to rattle )

nausea

I’m so sorry! I can’t say I know exactly how that feels, because I’m just three months out, but I get that frustration, too. It can be scary to feel like we’re back at the start and haven’t made any progress! I’m having a good week, but a couple weeks ago I felt just like that. I thought good gravy how can it be this bad right now?

Over Thanksgiving I had a very close friend visit. I went to visit her in the first few weeks after my adverse reaction. She said I have made tremendous progress. I was surprised, because I was very stuck in this mindset that “I can’t believe I’m still HERE,” as in struggling with these withdrawal symptoms.

I also have many of the symptoms you describe, and I understand how discouraging and downright scary they are. I love that you mentioned a preoccupation with death, because I have that for sure and have never heard anyone else mention it. And just the thought of death also sends a shockwave through my traumatized nervous system, so it’s like a double whammy! I scanned your symptoms list, and these are all part of my symptoms, too. How old is your youngest? (Mine is 5.)

I just wanted to say I hear you, I feel you, and I know exactly what you mean. I know that can be a comfort to us sometimes. Don’t forget to allow your brain to think its intrusive thoughts, then calmly acknowledge them as intrusive thoughts and allow them to float away. You know how, when you meditate, you label thoughts and feelings and then calmly let them go? Don’t get worked up and discouraged when they happen (easier said that done, I know—mine are usually accompanied by full body paresthesia sensations). Just say yes, I hear you, thought, I accept that you are a symptom of my brain trying to heal, and I am going to let you go peacefully go now. You don’t want to battle the intrusive thoughts. Just let them float away. Or you float away from them; whichever works best for you.

Remember time will take them away. Time will take all of this away. I truly believe that, though I feel the same fear that it won’t when I am in a wave. Who knows, maybe this will be your last wave, but most likely not, if we look at other members on this site. I think they would say 9 months is still early days. Take a look back at your progress. You have been through so much! This, too, will pass.

@Phoenixmama, oh my gosh, I know! I am getting to “used” to strange symptoms and pains and reactions that if I actually develop real ones, I’ll never know!

My kids are 20, 15, 12, 11, and 5. I gave birth to four; the 12 yr old is my niece on my husband’s side whom we adopted.

One thing that also helps me is to remember all the things I have lived through and survived. I mean, I’m sure the two of us could tell some stories about what life has handed us. Remember THAT is who you are. The survivor. You are suffering from an adverse reaction. A “silent,” invisible one, because of our current psychiatric medical community. Doesn’t mean it’s not real. As if it didn’t @$%! with our brains enough already!

@Phoenixmama hey hope you are feeling better today, yea you and I have very similar timelines , there are some days now where I am like it’s over, then sadly it’s not , it’s still haunting to think about what happened to all of us, but I find looking how much progress we made and that brings hope for a better tomorrow. One day free from all this. Hope all is well hang in there , we all here rooting for each other.
