sanderella57
(Original topic title: I don't want to be forced to create an account just to comment) I'm a psychiatric drug survivor of being poly-drugged for 35 years, including ECT's to treat the drug induced severe depressions. And forced into a cold-turkey Klonopin at the end by my mental healthcare workers that drove me insane & suicidal. My c/t from Effexor, Trazodone & Lithium drove me to become homicidal. I've been off ALL psychiatric drugs going on 7 years and doing great. I've written a memoir describing all this that not one publisher is willing to touch so off in the garbage it goes. Moderator Emeritus ChessieCat Posted April 10, 2021 Moderator Emeritus Share Posted April 10, 2021 (edited) Hi sanderella and welcome to SA, Congratulations! That is wonderful news that you are now drug free and doing really well, especially after being poly-drugged for such a long time. We have at least 2 other members who have also managed to become drug-free after many years of poly-drugging and written their success stories: GiaK - withdrawn from a cocktail of 6 psychiatric drugs that included every class of psych drug Shep - Drug free May 22, 2015 after 30 years of neuroleptics, benzos, z-drugs, so-called "anti"-depressants, and amphetamines It would be a shame for your memoir to be binned. You might consider creating a blog. You could post a link to it in your own topics and drug signature. Instructions: Withdrawal History Signature Members who are tapering and/or suffering from withdrawal symptoms find it encouraging to read stories about members who have managed to get off their drugs successfully and are now doing okay. SA would really appreciate you posting your Success Story here on SA (link to instructions below).
