Heavy reliance on the “sun” for mood??

Does anyone else have this?  I feel like when its cloudy and snowy I feel like I’m in acute withdrawal.  But just last week when it was all sunny and it felt like spring, I felt like I was healing!!??

 

My assumption is that for the first time in my life since i was a youngster, my body does not know how else to produce serotonin, except through light sources?

 

If I continue to find light sources will my body get use to producing serotonin on its own??

 

This is interesting to say the least, still battling other symptoms that I can not differentiate if its from the benzos also.  Wow Effexor & Ativan really destroyed me.

2019 (poor taper jump off celexa 20mg to 10mg in 1week and xanax 1mg to .5 and jumped.

 relapsed onto Ativan 1mg per day and Effexor 150xr i think i maxed out at 225mg
2020:
tapered off Effexor April-September
tapered Ativan from late Sept-Oct
tapered Nov2-14 on Valium, JUMPED Nov 15 2020

Look into SAD. You can buy a light that replicates sunlight to help. I’d also get my vitamin D levels checked. 

May 2019 started lexapro 2.5 mg; 2020 went to every other day; 2021 beginning of Mar, tried to stop but had insomnia; Mar 30, 2021 reinstated 1.25 ev other day, WD symptoms, not enough

April 19, 2021 started liquid, .85 mg/day; May 1, 2021 .8 mg, May 6 .75 mg; June 6 .7 mg, June 20 .65mg, June 30  .6mg, Jul 24 .55 mg, Oct 17 .5 mg, Dec 5- .45 mg; Jan 26, 2022- 4mg,  April 18- .375 ; April 24- .35; April 29- .3; Jun 12- .25 mg; Jun 28- .2 lex; Sept- .15 mg, Nov .1- long hold, never got better

June ‘23- PPPD started 🙁, Jun- .09, Jul- .08, Oct- .07, Dec- .06, Jan ‘24- .05!

Taking Magnesium, whole foods iron, & natural supplements as needed for sleep

Thank you.  Yes my Vitamin Ds were low, the doc said to take 1,000iu, but since it keeps sinking down, ive increased to 2,000iu.

 

Appreciated

Some people need a lot more, but talk to your doctor. If you’re taking a lot, I’ve read you need K2 and magnesium as well. Those will also help it to be absorbed.

Yes I could have the most severe withdrawal symptoms and sitting in the sun drastically improves the symptoms for the remainder of the day.
