Ty . I just cannot do it... im struggling so badly after 6 months. Do you happen to think I will steal heal ? They always say this isn't withdrawl at 6 months. I just dont want nuerotoxicity. I can't take anything.

Hi there @Foxclover6. I'm sorry you are struggling. I'm going through it as well, but things have been improving for me lately. Have you had a chance to read the Success Stories yet? There are many people who were convinced they would never get better and eventually they did. It helps me to read the stories sometimes when I'm not feeling well.

Success stories: Recovery from psychiatric drug withdrawal - Surviving Antidepressants

-Since 2017-ish I've been on Cymbalta & Mirtazapine. At max dose it was 120mg cymbalta and 45mg mirtazapine. This combo was meant to deal with a depressive episode and it worked. Over the next few years I tapered down from those high doses. I had tried to get off the cymbalta twice and had to reinstate twice. I don't remember when. Maybe 2018? 2019?

-Since 2020 I've been stable 20mg cymbalta and 7.5mg mirtazapine (this is mainly for sleep now). I have come off of the mirtazapine before without trouble, but still take it occasionally for sleep.

-August 2nd began taking 10mg prozac as a bridge to attempt to get off cymbalta. Took 10mg for about a week then 20mg for a few days. Stopped taking the cymbalta and was doing okay for a bit, but things didn't seem to get better and maybe have been getting worse.

-8/25/2021 - 20mg cymbalta and struggling. Stopped the prozac. I'm struggling, but I can probably ride this out if I had to. My concern is that things will continue to get worse, as they seem to be doing.

-8/29/2021 - things started to get worse. Probably prozac withdrawal. Reinstated 20mg prozac.

-9/2/2021 - 20mg cymbalta, 5mg prozac, 7.5 mg mirtazapine --> 9/24/2021 - 20mg cymbalta, 5mg prozac, 3.75 mg mirtazapine --> 11/7/2021 - 20mg cymbalta, 3.75mg prozac, 3.75 mg mirtazapine --> 4/24/2022 - 20mg cymbalta, 3.75mg prozac   --> 6/5/2022 - 20mg cymbalta, 3.33mg prozac

Hey how have you been feeling since Sat?  Sat was pretty horrible for me also.  I’m sorry.  Hoping you found some relief.

No relief , worse off. Want to do a reinstatement to try to get any stabilization but the dropper I have says 1 ml. I'm too dumb to figure out what is 0.5 of 1 ml. I have liquid prozac and liquid lexparo but I also don't know how to take it, do you dilute it in water? If anyone reads thus, I could use some help. I need to try to reinstate, I keep getting worse and worse.

@Altostrata I am afraid to end up in a hospital reinstating. There's always a chance I know,

Can I ask you, is 1 ml a bit too high to reinstate being that I am off 6 months

Hi @Foxclover6

Sorry I can't offer any advice about reinstatement. I was looking at your signature and was curious when the last time you took Ativan was?

-Since 2017-ish I've been on Cymbalta & Mirtazapine. At max dose it was 120mg cymbalta and 45mg mirtazapine. This combo was meant to deal with a depressive episode and it worked. -8/29/2021 - things started to get worse. Probably prozac withdrawal. Reinstated 20mg prozac.

-9/2/2021 - 20mg cymbalta, 5mg prozac, 7.5 mg mirtazapine --> 9/24/2021 - 20mg cymbalta, 5mg prozac, 3.75 mg mirtazapine --> 11/7/2021 - 20mg cymbalta, 3.75mg prozac, 3.75 mg mirtazapine --> 4/24/2022 - 20mg cymbalta, 3.75mg prozac   --> 6/5/2022 - 20mg cymbalta, 3.33mg prozac

I am confused by this question. This thread shows we've been discussing reinstatement since last June.

You have had this option all along. As explained before, we suggest 1mg to start to minimize risk of adverse effects. We cannot promise there will be no adverse effects, but a reaction to 1mg would be unlikely to send you to the hospital.

If you don't feel comfortable taking 1mg, you might try 0.5mg.

What liquid drug do you have? How many milligrams of drug are in one milliliter of liquid? Please ask your pharmacist to show you how to use the oral syringe.

I have prozac and I have a 1 ml syringe. Can you please help me figure out how much 0.5 is of 1ml ? The prozac is 20 mg/5ml. I never reinstated,  I've only gotten worse over time.

You have 4mg Prozac in 1 milliliter of liquid, or 1mg in 0.25mL. You'd take 0.125 milliliter to get 0.5mg Prozac.

I just think it will make me worse, I am so afraid of being worse than I already am.  Have you ever encountered anyone to reinstate after this long and have a positive outcome?

Hi @Foxclover6

The lines go up by 0.1. So to get 0.12 you need to go up by 12 lines.
As there aren’t lines between the 0.1 lines, you can’t measure 0.125 exactly,   so you need to choose either 0.12 (12 lines) or 0.13 (13 lines)

I didnt do it, I'm sad and depressed, anxiety is rough.  I want to but feel like I am so afraid of having anymore issues that I haven't done it. I feel damaged, it's my own fault for quitting the way I did. Very sad, wish I saw positive of reinstatement after this time line but I quit in june or july. I'm terrified, have pins and needles in the legs alot. I'm the most afraid because I took the benzo and I know no matter what I will have an extremely sensitive response. Feel at a loss.

Don’t be so hard on yourself we have all been misinformed for years. It’s so hard to make this decision for several reasons. For me anyway, What we know now and fear and no clarity which is heightened by the withdrawals and misguided failures by drs. Memory has been created like don’t touch a hot stove.

I remember before I found SA I would worry myself sick on what do I do, what dr said, what I read and googled etc. In those times I also couldn’t think straight.   I just needed to get back to my old self pronto. “This ain’t Tylenol it takes months to work it self out “ is what I wanted to tell dr!

I have reinstated about 4 or 5 times before SA and it was usually back up to previous dose.

we are all different, different lives, different tolerances, etc. It’s so hard to get past that fearful decision. With me once I get past a decision either way. Then I’m good I feel like I can move on.
You are very brave. you will get through.

Even if you don't reinstate, you will eventually recover, as long as you are taking care of yourself.  Here is a cool idea - one member here rates her symptoms each day from 1 to 10, with 10 being the worse.  This helps her to see her improvement over time, and it very encouraging to her.  What do you think of this idea?

Even if you don't reinstate, you will eventually recover, as long as you are taking care of yourself.  Here is a cool idea - one member here rates her symptoms each day from 1 to 10, with 10 being the worse.  This helps her to see her improvement over time, and it very encouraging to her.  What do you think of this idea?

That sounds pretty good to me, today I think I was at maybe a 5. So I suppose I will start with 5 here and now, once I got to around 1 or 2 pm I start to feel a bit less like a ferret. Felt a bit weak today and still having alot of back pain, some rib pain. The night was a little better and sort of less connected to my mind and more in the moment. Thank you for this idea.

This morning I woke up feeling a bit nutty, vision is off, well...its so fogged and having the derealization.  Every morning when I wake up I feel like im trying to breathe more which is stressful. The weather here is dark and gloomy and my temp is always like 96.9, unless I shower in the warm water or run around.  Had the thyroid all checked and it's normal, ferritin and hemoglobin. Normal. Im always cold, night time I get a good sweat going, it's great. -_- . I've also fallen down the ebv, Lyme rabbit hole like many do, and I've had a hard time figuring out if that's functional docs way of making more money or lots I'd us are just walking time bombs who are over taken by epstein barr, who knows ?! I'm on a tincture right now for my " infection " , AL bloods are always normal.  Even went so far as to get a blood test for covid to see if I'd had it in the past few months but it was negative.  Through out this I have had blood work for adrenals, thyroid, autoimmune, diabetes, had an mri on the head and neck as well as the eeg. What else, hmm, saw a gastro doc but I think im gonna hold off on the endo and colonoscopy as.....I am in no state to have that kind of thing going on right now.  Had an xray of my rib cage that was also normal.  I'm supposed to do a sleep study in the 1st but with the anxiety and panic I cannot imagine that will go well. So I might reschedule it.  I often wonder if withdrawl can cause the pains that I have had, I had a very tight rib cage since Christmas and felt a band like feeling around my waste which then resulted in back pain that has been awful.  My upper back is stiff as a board. Idk what is what anymore. Today I'm rating my state of mind and body a 7 out of 10 anxiety and sadness. When I feel ok physically it's easier. I see so many people say they've never felt this way, I get that, it's like a sick,  Sinking,  depressive sadness.

I think the idea is to rate each individual symptom.  And then maybe you could do an average of the whole day based on that.  I hope you get your other health issues addressed. I think we will all feel better when we go into spring and warmer sunnier weather.

Month....10 ? I don't even know.

Untsable moods, crying, eye pain, still cannot face things that are emotionally stressful, even ones I need to that are probably holding me back.  If anyone reads this, I always wonder if I'm still suffering withdrawl even knowing that I am.  The benzo being probably the larger culprit, which I've been off less time.

It is quite possible you are still suffering withdrawal.  It can take many months, to years for our nervous systems to fully heal.  Hang in there, it will get better very very gradually.

I'm worried I suffered permanent damage,  when I took buspar I developed all over body pain, numb wrists and ankles and pain in my hands and feet, this was a month after stopping lexapro. Since then this pain has gotten less but now comes on at different times and it's like a total body myalgia that makes my heart rate sky rocket. It's very painful. I believe the buspar caused it, im worried. I've also started to notice I tear things so easily, it's like my whole body became weakened. It's extreme, the tearing results even from reaching. I just dont know what to do, the attacks of pain are really bad and it also seemed connected to foods and stress. Anyone if you have this please respond.

Hi.

How are you doing?

Im in month 14. Still some withdrawal symptoms are appearing here and there. Most of physical symptoms that had long gone have recently appeared. Sometimes I get hands pain.

How is your hands pain?

I feel burning and pressure on my fingers in both hands. Is it similar in your case?

I have started feeling weakness and emotional instability again. But just trying to wait till it passes.

Be patient dear. Sending you warm hugs.

2007-2010 Sertraline(200-400 mg) and Fluxetine 80mg for OCD

2010-2015 Changed many doctors and many medicine but it was mostly Sertraline 100mg-200mg and some tranquilizers for sleep

2015-2019 mostly Sertraline lower doses (50mg -100mg) but bunch of other medicine that I do not really remember.

August 2019 -Jan2020 Ecitalopram 10mg

Jan 2020-June 2020 Sertraline 50mg

June 2020-Oct 2020 (Cold Turkey) tried to suddenly stop Sertraline 50mg but had anxiety attacks

Oct 2020- March 2021 Sertraline 75mg

April 2020- Cold Turkey
