he waves. Oh the waves. My brain keeps Thelling me this is not waves and that i can’t have waves anymore, i only did 2 small cuts and everything was fine for weeks. And now almost two months after i experience so much symptoms. Anxiety, rumination, new symtoms with fear of driving places i used to be totally okay to drive. And now i just want to end my life if i can’t take my kids to the beach by car anymore. I feel like the worst mom ever and hate my life.
i search the internet all the time to find something to help me and i just find myself being broken.

I hear everything you are saying. The waves are the worst. You most certainly will get back to your old self. This is just going to take some time. You are almost to the finish line. Give yourself some much deserved credit for getting as far as you have.

NOTHING on the internet will tell you how to get through this, I am sorry. Only time will heal and it WILL heal. Thousands have healed before us and thousands will heal after.

I know what it is like to be afraid to drive. I promise....it is your mind playing tricks on you and it DOES pass. You WILL be back to driving.

Be kind to yourself. You ARE healing right now. Reach out. You are not alone. You are never alone on this site. Feel free to reach out to me anytime. I am holding you in my thoughts. Big hug.

Does other also find that wd targets anything positive it can find in your life?
Like i have been researching different types of therapys and yesterday i just panicked over all the information found i feel like i can never go to therapy again, it even came with some psychotic feelings. The whole summer i have been feeling so happy that i am able to take my kids to the beach and i have been grateful for it every day. BOOM worst anxietyattack ever and now i can’t even imagine going there. Anything positive i find and try to clinge onto is suddenly replaced with aavoidance, anxiety and even psychotic sensations. What is this? Is it really withdrawal?

@Escitalopram21  😓 I can so relate with trying to deal with trauma, withdrawal, our brains not connecting right. Paranoia, depression and fear can bring us to our knees😒

I am going to mention this, I also wonder if there is a drug that will help me when I am in a bad way.

Then it reminds me of my panic winter of 2020-21 and the merry-go-round of drugs and how I just kept getting worse and ended up adding more drug  to my daily consumption.   Remember that a new drug is not a guarantee to cover up withdrawal from another one.  My lexapro sure didn't.  My hubby likes to say it blew up my brains.  I also read that when our CNS is so upset it will may not like adding another drug to it, which only tries to change the brain some more.  I feel panicked and am stuck the same as you😒

This is so overwhelming and painful at times.  How can we find the strength to go on.  But we have, haven't we E21.  Look how far we've come.  Look how much time our brains have spent working on getting it right. ( I  think we are on about the same time frame).  Yeah, we are not just starting out.:)  We have some healing under our belt.  You have experience some positive times, healing is taking place.  You are doing so well you are at 2.85mg of Lex, you are so close to being drug free.  The worst has to over for you. Me I have a ways to go 😓 4 drugs to get off of.

Would you like me to share some of the success stories that helps me fight on and go another day.🌞

We are in this together E21, we have been for over the last year🌞

Yes dear @Greatful❤️🩹 its not just the wd. The first year i kept telling myself that this isn’t the real me but the more time goes by I realize, this is me. And i have a hard time accepting ”me”.

i keep questioning myself everyday, could i do this? Could i manage that? Instead of rest when there is time to rest and this is part of having experienced trauma. It wont go anywere. Until processed at least (i Hope). Because this can’t be it for us.?

I understand you might feel discouraged when thinking about the 4 meds to come off. BUT you keep lowering your dose EVERYDAY 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I am so impressed by you! Slowly and steadily you keep pushing through and that is what Will get you drugfree one day! ❤️

@Escitalopram21

How is your job going?

I did one session of TRE last week.  It really is kind of freaky but it does seem to calm something deep inside.

I am sooooo horrible with setting up a routine to do this stuff.  I start out and then poop out LOL

Energy and will to do things nowadays is hard.  Maybe I'm just plain lazy LOL....

I did mop some floors last week:) My brain is so sensitive to movement sometimes.  Lately it has been doing it's buzzing and shrinking, the whole nine yard, I guess it's from my cuts.  Or maybe it's the drugs that are doing it.

Not many people have the horrible brain sizzling lol.  Wouldn't be something if it's from my drugs. I will see that when they are out of my systems.  Sadly that would mean they are here to stay for awhile 😒

Do you find some of your trauma comes in windows and waves too?  I will  being doing okay and then bam back to the scared child, or memories will be  okay and I deal with them fairly well, then bam they shake me up again.  The one positive it that I am able to handle them better.....well most of the time.  Sometimes I am at near rock bottom of fear.  I think the hard part is when I can feel  like I  am that inner child again, the same feeling and they can be so strong and controlling  sometimes.   I wonder if it's  because our fear center amygdala is super sensitive right now, so the feelings are morphed.  Plus not being dulled from the drugs. Does any of this make sense?  It's so hard to explain what flashback feelings feel like.

I guess our trauma is trapped in our body 😳

I REALLY Hope so. I do experience the Flashbacks but not from childhood more from adult trauma.
Very interesting about the traumas also coming in waves and Windows. I have been thinking that a wd wave and trauma wave are so intertvined that i can’t separate them. I Will need to get back to you about that.
I am happy to hear that you are able to handle it better. The memories and what i call ”going back in Time” phenomen is really scary. I have not been able to be intimate with my husband in a while because i feel to ”Young” for that stuff.

haha tell me about it, i am worthless when it comes to routines. I actually tried the TRE thing once when i was in a wave but didnt realize it was a wave. I was very hesitant to try it but i liked it somehow. And afterwards i had the same experience as you did, that my legs started Shaking in some other situation too. Very strange and hard to put into words, but pleasurable at the same time.

I really Hope those brain sensations of your Will go away soon! I only have the cold sensations every now and then so i can imagine how hard that is. Poor brains ❤️🩹

I keep having so much symptoms that i have started to think about deluting my medication even more to get the measurement mitt precise.

Math is my hardest to wrap my head around wether in wd or not.
i am taking 2,85 now with my 20mg/ml pharamacy bought solution. So i pull 1,5 medication and put it in a small jar and then i pull 1,5 water and mix it with the medication. From there i draw the 2,85.

so if i would want ti dilute it even more, what would the math look like?
if i dilute 1,5 ml medication into 3 ml of water. How much do i pull?

Hi E21,
What kind of syringe are you using for your measurements?

Is it marked in units or milliters?

I did see a mention in your narratives of wanting to use an insulin syringe quite awhile back.

Are you able to screen share an image of your syringe?

I'll enclose this video too:  How to Read a Syringe

At 2.43 minutes, it goes over the plunger in regard to your reading, and then later around 6.00 minutes or after it does touch on the difference between insulin syringes and those that measure in millileters(mL).

For example a 100 unit insulin syringe is often the same as a 1 mL total syringe, broken down in increments of 10 or 0.10 of a mL

So I'm really interested in what units of volume you are measuring.

There is 1 mg of your Cipralex/escitalopram in each 0.05 mL of your solution prior to any further dilutions.  I just want to note that here for now.  That's what we call the AIC, or active ingredient concentration.

if i dilute 1,5 ml medication into 3 ml of water. How much do i pull?

Mainly I need to see some units of measurement.  I hope that is clearer.

For example IF you are taking 2.85 mL(millileter) of your final solution( which is equal to 3.0 mL total)

When/if you pull 1.5 mL from your bottle of prescription Cipralex/escitalopram ( you've stated it is 20 mg in each 1 mL), that is then 30 mg of the C/e in that first 1.5 mL.

Then you add another 1.5 of water to get to a total of 3 mL, you'd have 30 mg of escitalopram total in the total 3 mL of volume.

If then you presently take 2.85 mL......you'd be getting 28.5 mg with each dose taken.

Note:  I write your 2,85 as 2.85 as well as 1,5 as 1.5.

So for me, knowing your units of measurement right now will be helpful.

With a further dilution of/IF it is  1.5 mL medication volume, (or again 30 mg active ingredient of escitalopram) with another 3 mL of water, it would then be  30 mg active escitalopram in a total of 4.5 mL water.

Your signature is reading 2,85 mg of escitapram dose as of 19th of June.  However, possibly you are taking 28.5 mg of a dose now.  This is what I want to get clearer on.  And I do say "possibly" as you might have your decimals off, or be working with a insulin syringe which might be labeled in units instead of 0.10's of measurements.  This would make a huge difference, as you can see.

To get that same dose strength in mg(28.5 mg) from a dilution of 30 mg active escitalopram in 4.5 mL......it would be then 4.28 mL of volume of your final dilution.

So, I definitely need further clarity of your measurements.  If a screen shot is not doable of your syringe used......just be sure to note mL's or mg's alongside your numbers next.  If your syringe is in marked in units, look at it closely to see if it is also noted somewhere what those are in mL's or percentages of mL's, perhaps.   And report that.

Sometimes 0.10 mL on an insulin syringe is marked as 1 unit.  Somewhere on that syringe it might say total volume in mL' s.  That's what my inquiring mind needs to know.

And that would explain measurement difficulties too......as you'd be working with really little volumes of liquid.

I hope that is readable for you.  And I'll check back soon.

Thanks.

Here's what it all looks like IF you are doing volume measurements in 0.15 mL's.

With a 20mg/1mL concentration of C/e, then 0.15 mL of that concentration is equal to 3 mg of active Cipralex.  Then adding another 0.15 mL water to that you have 3 mg of Cipralex in just 0.3 mL of liquid volume.

Then getting the dose of 2.85 mg from that concentration would be hard, as it is only going to be 0.285 mL.  Yes, difficult to measure.

With an addition 0.3 mL to the dilution, then you would be looking at 3 mg of C/e in now 0.45 mL of solution.

To get a dose of 2.85 mg you would then need to draw up 0.428 mL.

Likely this is what you ARE doing now.  What might help is to keep the small insulin syringe to continue to draw up 3 mg at a time prior to dilution.

Then you could use a second syringe to draw up water for further dilution.  You might consider going with a larger volume syringe for the additional water dilution, and then also for when you actually take your dosage.

For example if you put that 0.15 mL of your prescription liquid into 2.85 mL of water then you would have 3 mg of C/e in a total of 3 mL's of liquid, giving to a 1/1 final concentration.  AND, you would be drawing up 2.85 mL, which would also be 2.85 mg and so much easier to work with.

Let me know how you follow all this.  And if making that big change in further dilution of your medication, I think it would be very wise to not be further adjusting your dose at that time.  I'd expect perhaps a little bump in symptoms possible as you adjusted, hopefully nothing huge.  You'd also need to swirl the final solution really well, or stir,to make sure it all gets mixed up good.

I'll leave one of the links for you to look at around syringes and liquid dosing now too.

Apologies for so very long of a post, while I worked it out in my head and on paper.

Happy to clarify anything you need.

Thinking of you too my friend 💛

I dont want to sound too negative, but it has not been a walk in the park the last two months. I was thrown into some of the worst waves ever when starting the new job in august. Still not completely recovered and now fighting a bad flu.
I am afraid i might need some antibiotics but i am scared. Do you happen to know if low dose aspirin is safe to take to prevent having to take antibiotics?

I have a bad flu and i feel like i might need antibiotics. I am scared to take them so i wonder if it would be a better option to take a low dose of aspirin for a few days/weeks to possibly fight off this infection? It think both options are bad but this flu has spread to my ears. My throat, ears and even my teeth feel so so sore and inflamed.

i have the solution which says 20mg/ml and i Draw it with a syringe which is 1 ml. I draw to inbetween the 0.1 and 0.2 marker which should be 0.15? I dilute it with the same amount of water and shoot 0.285.

Before you take an antibiotic, you should be sure your illness is not caused by a virus. If it is a virus, such as covid, an antibiotic won't kill a virus.

Just want to add here. If drs do offer an antibiotic. Ask . Do I have a bacterial infection? Ask them questions. What kind of bacteria? Can you do a Blood culture to make sure? Is the suggested antibiotic best for the bacteria you have that they tested for ? Etc.

Maybe it’s not the flu! Are you running a fever?

Oh and yay.....relief, I was actually worried you might be getting too huge of doses......

And your picture came through.  Yay!

20mg/1mL concentration of your escitalopram/Cipralex.

And then 1 mg in each 0.05 mL.

You are measuring correctly.......good job.  Your decimals were off, as I suspected......in that last post I responded to.

I'll be back later then, to double check my math, and then clarify perhaps more concisely how you could further dilute each dose, it to get even more precise measurements.

Sorry to hear you are sick.  Are you having fevers and lot's of body aches?  It's just that some, not all, find that due to their overly sensitive nervous systems while in WD........that sometimes something as innocent as aspirin can throw them off.

And don't worry about antibiotics.  Those are for bacterial infections only, they don't help at all with viruses.  See a doctor if you need to.

I never had problems with ibuprofen myself, and use that for aches, pains, headaches and such.

Yes, between the 0.1 abd 0.2 mark on your 1 mL syringe is 0.15 mL.

Then in that 0.15 mL is contained 3 mg of your escitalopram concentrate.

So then after adding another 0.15 mL of water you have a total volume of 0.30 mL, which contains 3 mg of escitalopram.

And so yah, you get 2.85 mg in that teeny volume of 0.285 mL.

So I think you must have a variety of syringes now.  And yes, you can mix that 0.15 mL(which is 3 mg escitalopram) into 3 mL of water.

Then you would have 3 mg of escitalopram in 3.15 mL total volume(mL).

You would then take 2.9925 mL, and we can round up to having you take 3 mL, after the further dilution, to get your present dose of 2.85 mg.

I didn't use the formula brassmonkey taught me here, and so when you are ready to taper next, and know by what % you want to taper......let me know, and I can calculate for that, for you, and lay it out as maybe you'll be able to pick up and do it too, one day soon.  Trust me, we are all lacking in math skills at some point during WD.

Hoping you are feeling better.  Let us know.  You've got friends here who care.
