Parisien: premature ejaculation escitalopram 10mg and Brintellix 5mg - sexual dysfunction

Hi guys, any positive or negative news about your condition?  I try to make the most of the sun to go running after work and it does me good.  I also did my test which revealed that I had high cholesterol.  When I took the antidepressant it made me hungry I had gained almost 20 kilos which I have lost since stopping.  So I have to be careful now with salt and fat, I can eat everything, but in a more varied and balanced way.  I have very low white blood cell counts too.  HIV test negative so my doctor gave me another blood test to determine what is causing this low level.  Finally, my attending physician, as I told him about my lack of libido, pleasureless orgasms and the fact that ejaculation level I come quite quickly compared to when I took the treatment, he offered me something that according to him "could do  restart the machine".  It's not viagra but something for erections I refused.  I prefer to let time and sport do things.  Hoping that it gets better one day if not I will consider other solutions.  Initially before my blood tests when I explained my concerns he told me cholesterol could play a role but not in my case I am only 31 years old

Hello everyone, I was on seroplex 10mg in October 2019 for over a year and then on brintellix from March to September for maybe 8 months. I made several attempts to stop abruptly then I resumed the treatment of brintellix recently for a few weeks because it was too difficult to stop.

Symptom when stopped: premature ejaculation, ejaculation with less orgasm. Severe insomnia, transient headaches, sensitivity to noise and light.

Right now the only time I feel bad is when I think about sex.  Because I have no libido at all after 5 months off.  My penis had shrunk a bit but he said that it will soon return to normal but basically I have not complained about the size so when erect it is almost invisible.  Except that I no longer have a hard-on like before and very rarely in the morning and not thoroughly.  If the premature ejaculation goes away and the orgasms come back I think I'll be fine.  I know that the mind plays on it but maybe 10% .. it's terrible because there are some who took antidepressants, it made them lower their libido and when they stopped it went back to normal.  Me it's the opposite when I took the treatment a libido skyrocketed and it was only when I stopped that I noticed a small shrinkage of my penis and all these sexual problems.  Does that mean I'm still depressed?  If, for example, someone resumes treatment, will their penis return to normal size and premature ejaculation be cured?  I pause the question.  But I seen do anything to worsen @Ben190 you say your sex had its size before and that your orgasms were returned after a year and a half I seen wait to see also after 1 year

Absolutely no improvements here what so ever…my penis is numb, dead and shrunk. It’s been like this for 16 months now with no hope in sight.

I am so angry at the whole system, this shouldn’t be able to happen to a healthy person. How do you even continue from this? Libido and sexuality is everything in life, at least for a man.

Hi guys any news..?  Do you still feel so tired?  For those who have stopped for a long time.  Me after 2 years of taking and since the stop 5 months ago I am still very tired after work I collapse from fatigue.  For my sexuality it's always the same .. muted orgasm very early ejaculation and the skin of my sex is shrunken I feel.  When I ejaculate my glans finds itself in the air and is no longer covered by the skin or much less.  All this worries me, I really want it to go back to normal.  @Avicii @Ben190

i have been a soccer coach all day and now when I got home I just crashed. My body (mostly my legs) hurts and I am so tired.

just want to be normal again so I can live the life I want…this seems like some kind of evil joke…

I think we will heal but it may take time.  By our actions we can influence the healing in my opinion either to fight or to give up.  Me my erections are no longer what they were before but they are sufficient premature ejaculation is there but I am waiting to see during a report if its little help because it depends on the day porn does not help I think  .  Endurance sports can help too, I think.  Have you done any blood tests?  To see if the blood flow to the penis is normal?  I sleep much better so at this level there is a clear improvement for me, I can concentrate more and connect with people even if it's far from being like before taking the antidepressant.  You have to believe in it even if it's hard, I know there are times when you lose hope.  You have to see the positive and not the negative, I think that's what will bring our body and our brain to heal.  Liverpool Real Madrid tomorrow evening will be a good evening courage thought positive made positive actions to get better!  Give yourself two years and if in two years nothing is resolved then we will consider something else, okay?  I have low white blood cell cholesterol and I can see that my blood circulation is bad I see the doctor again on Thursday I'll see what can be done for that and if it can harm sexuality

@Parisien He's a broken guy, Parisien, as am I. If your only PSSD related symptom and issue is Premature Ejac and Ejac without orgasm, consider yourself EXTREMELY lucky. I would just high tale it out of here and live your life. Those two things will improve in time.

It’s those who have lost their complete sexuality from this that are in indescribable torment. I wouldn’t torture yourself here if you’ve got those minor problems, as they will sort themselves out in one to two years.

From what I can gather from your symptoms and issues, you will be just fine. You are one of the more fortunate ones.

I also have my sex which has narrowed a bit long but it is not shocking that is light and not disturbing at the base I had good measurement fortunately.  But premature ejaculation is really handicapping me that if his rule I never know how I'm successful to me flourish couple I am very afraid.  The brain fog as I saw a small improvement and I sleep better but I still have moments when I feel around a day offline people this is not easy especially at work even if I make efforts to appear at  better and concentrate.  @Avicii is that you sleep well?

@Parisien It’s very difficult to understand your paragraphs. You might want to type it in French, put it into Google translator, and then post it. What I meant was that from what I can tell, you have a mild form of PSSD. I know how difficult those things must seem, but if it’s only PE and pleasureless orgasm then without a doubt you will see some improvement.

There are folks here who have all those issues, but also erectile problems, low libido, and some who have even lost their sexuality or orientation COMPLETELY. It handicaps them to the point where they are no longer able to even function or function without absolute torment.

I think in your situation it would be best to just leave these forums, and continue living as healthily as possible. I know for a fact that you will see major improvement in these aspects in time.

Other people’s time frame and journey through this situation will never be the same as yours. It’s very difficult to seek out assistance and reassurance from others in this aspect, and that’s something I have learned as of recent.

I am suffering immensely, but at some point there is no longer a point in delving into constantly listing off symptoms, difficulties, or this and that on a forum. It’s either time heals you, or it doesn’t and you are left to make a pretty difficult choice should you feel you have to.

I don’t believe those who lost their sexuality completely are going to recover. You need to have something to regain it.

We can’t feel horny because we don’t even feel attracted to women or the sex we were attracted to anymore. It delves a lot deeper than PSSD.

The only way to describe it would be a complete chemical lobotomy. And that’s what it is.

You can stay pessimistic, it’s your own choice. I had zero attraction left but sometimes I really think I speak a complete different language. Why do you believe that there must be anything left? I would rather believe that you are quite unlucky if your body really doesn’t find the correct way to adjust things after this medical crash.

My list of symptoms was incredible long and is getting shorter and shorter every month. If healing is impossible then please explain to me why I had zero interest, no chance of getting an erection, pleasureless orgasms, orgasms without sperm, no night erections, no feelings and now this things have started to improve and are still improving?

I am really looking forward to your explanation.

@Ben190your story is the only thing keeping me alive so I choose to believe that healing is possible.

I have seen some more improvements the past month. My body doesn’t hurt in the mornings anymore and I can also get glimpses of some kind of peace in my brain.

The sexual part is the same though, shrunk penis (both when flaccid and erected), premature ejaculation, ghost orgasm etc. I’ve read many people saying that their sexuality was the last thing to return.

My biggest concern right now is that I am afraid that my penis has got permanent injuries due to the 16 month shrinkage. Very hard to believe I will get everything 100% back…that would be a true miracle.

Hi guys, @Avicii me too my penis has shrunk it is also thinner and really like dead it makes me extremely afraid that it will never come back.  Although @Ben190 you said your normal size was back on it I doubt it.  Finally good for that remains my surgery at the limit .. whatever lose 2 or 3cm if we had a suitable size at the base it is not the end of the world but for some I can understand that those are difficult to live with myself  I live badly.  By the way, well, when did you see your size come back, after the shrinkage, how many years?  Me what really worries me above all is premature ejaculation and orgasm without pleasure.  Sure, if it doesn't come back, it's very, very problematic.  And there's nothing we can do about it.  Other than taking a dangerous antidepressant that caused this and also causes the shrinkage.  I don't know about you, Avicii, but I had never noticed penis shrinkage before stopping.  It's only when I stopped the treatment that I noticed this.  We will have to see what solution we have if the orgasm never comes back and if the premature ejaculation persists over time.  If ben managed to get rid of it, it's probably possible.  On the mental side, on the other hand, I am making a lot of progress.  Less fatigue during the day I am better even if my head is elsewhere and moments of brain fog all the same but less than before but above all I sleep much better.  Work helps me and good fatigue

Shrinkage was completely gone after 1,5-2 years. I see you making good progress :) the rest will improve as well!

2018 - october: 10 days Fluoxetin 20mg

2018 - october: CT after bad reactions

2019 - june: 3,5 weeks Fluoxetin 20mg

2019 - june: 5 days Fluoxetin 10mg

2019 - july: CT after massive problems

Thank you well I hope you too are well, yes the improvement in sleep and morale during the day is getting better and better in terms of concentration and connection with my colleagues and the world around me.  It's only the times when I think about my sexuality that really gets me down.  If I understand your sex has shrunk then after 1.5 - 2 years then after returned to its normal size spontaneously ???  Me, he shrunk it in the beginning then now his stagnation is fortunately no more shrinkage elsewhere

Last intake of brintellix 5mg: Saturday, September 11, 2021

I had massive pain down there when it was shrinkaged. But now no more pain and he has normal size, it went better worse better worse and then stayed better one day.
