Helenrowena58
Speaking as someone with withdrawal syndrome. Is the mini pill neuro-active? And could it cause problems for someone who has withdrawal syndrome? Thanks Link to comment

Administrator Altostrata Posted September 26, 2021 Administrator Share Posted September 26, 2021 Hello, @Helenrowena58 From what drugs is your daughter suffering withdrawal syndrome? Lots of people have odd reactions to birth control pills. If she has withdrawal syndrome, this may not be the time to add another drug, may rock the boat further. This is not medical advice. Administrator Altostrata Posted October 2, 2021 Administrator Share Posted October 2, 2021 Did she go off a drug recently? From what drug is she suffering withdrawal syndrome? We really need this: Please summarize your drug and withdrawal history in your signature You may need to use a computer to do this. 5 hours ago, Helenrowena58 said: She is wondering about affecting seratonin levels, I don't know what this means. If your daughter is on a cocktail of drugs and is having unpleasant symptoms from them, you and she need to talk to your doctor. We can't advise you about what drugs to take to compensate for adverse drug effects. We can counsel you about what drugs to taper to reduce the adverse effects, but we have to know what these symptoms are. This is not medical advice. Helenrowena58
She is suffereing from withdrawal syndrome after coming off Fluoxetine too quickly, The symptoms have been lasting approx, 4 years It was the doctor who gave her the wrong information in the first place that got her in this situation and so not going to ask him again, If she took CBD oil would it make her symptoms worse, ? Does it need to be tapered ? SA helps members to taper psychiatric drugs. You could do a site search to find other members who are taking this drug. However I think the best thing to do would be to find support groups/forums for IBS since that seems to be one of the (main?) reasons people take it. I did a search and found this one: https://www.ibspatient.org/community/ * NO LONGER ACTIVE on SA * MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: (6 year taper) 0mg Pristiq on 13th November 2021 ADs since ~1992: 25+ years - 1 unknown, Prozac (muscle weakness), Zoloft; citalopram (pooped out) CTed (very sick for 2.5 wks a few months after); Pristiq: 50mg 2012, 100mg beg 2013 (Serotonin Toxicity) Tapering from Oct 2015 - 13 Nov 2021 LAST DOSE 0.0025mg Post 0 updates start here My tapering program My Intro (goes to tapering graph) VIDEO: Antidepressant Withdrawal Syndrome and its Management Link to comment
