How often do you get flushing at 3 a.m.? What times o'clock do you take mirtazapine, Nexium, etc.?

Hello everyone   The main question I have pertains to the last big paragraph at the bottom if anyone does not feel like reading all this that starts with "I jumped off mirtazapine".

@Altostrata   The burning skin got so bad last night. I was scared to reinstate but at 3 am I went for it. I took .25 mg. For the first hour I felt weird with like a heavy feeling and I had

The past few days it feels like I am right back to square one. I am not sleeping, not eating, pacing a lot, burning skin. I was getting relief and I still get relief at night when I take my mirtazapine but it does not last. I am not sure if I am just in a wave right now or what it is. I take Nexium at 9 am. I take mirtazapine at 9 pm. Things were getting better but today is awful again. The week was not that bad this week. The flushing went away at reinstatement at night but now the last three nights it is back. It seems like I can only eat rice and chicken and anything else sets me back again. This is nuts. Is my reinstatement failing? I feel like it’s my only hope so I really hope not.

Keep at it, your food reactions will gradually decrease. I love rice and chicken myself.

Your reinstatement is not failing, 1mg is not very much mirtazapine. Your sweet spot may be at a higher dosage. Do you want to increase by 0.25mg?

Thanks so much Alto. I am going to increase tonight. I spoke to my doc today and she upped my script to 6 mg(liquid) so now I have plenty of room to play with where I was maxed out at 1 mg before. I actually read my post from the last time I felt this bad before my reinstatement and I can see how I am actually doing better now in comparison to what I described then but my mind plays tricks on me.  I am in rough shape again though even if not quite as rough.

This is why we ask people to track their progress in their Intro topics. A little bit better is a good sign.

Good to hear your doctor is sympathetic. Please let us know how you're doing.
