He gave me buspar too, the first day I took cipralex I feel like iam not normal but I thought itis a fatigue or just we can stay up in the morning not in the mood.. Until one of my friends said why you are like that??  I was laughing at everything.. I thought it was something like cocaiine!  I cannot even describe the feeling.. I continued until the third day then I closed it on the fourth.. This day I got a bad headache then I had uterus bleeding for about 20 days.. I went to a phaychologiat and I had sessions I thought that my sudden confident was from the sessions but after some months I recognised that I cannot feel I cannot even concentrate or feel iam very numbed.. I went to another psychologist this months she said work ve emotional numbness and adhd.. And she wants to give me stimulants.. I need your help I cannot think anymore.. And if I told anyone that this symptoms are from med they do not believe me cause the med need month to work iam now 21 sep 2021 and I cannot feel anymore or just focus u feel like iam not real or iam dreaming just a bad feeling... The firat day 15June I took buspar about on 11:30 I felt like iam just irritated not in my normal but I thought that I was exhausted I could not sleep and was crying my eyes was blurred and not sharp, for my luck I knew this info from the chat with my friend, OK I standed up 16June and took cip I felt sleepy and I just started being bored of everything and I was not enjoying what I used to.., I started having shaking body and my jow was not alright.. I started being violent and I could not cry I was laughing at everything I had insomnia and could not sleep, my ibs was good but my brain was not I start losing concentrating and even what I did all the day.. I continued the third day then I stopped.. On19 June I did not take anything.. On evening I developed a horrible headache like a belt or something on my head and I started feel bain in my stomache,  June 20 I had uterus bleeding until 20 days after that I was taking med to stop bleeding but my body was not respond.. Iam now 24 sep and I still cannot concentrate iam totally blunded,  irritability and aggression.. I was not like that I was sensitive calm.. Suicidal thoughts, more eczema, vision is not OK.. Dp is here I just cannot live normal if I try to concentrate or do just like I must eat!  I feel very irritable and my tears just come down but no emotions, my body is weak .. I lost my relationships and the doc cannot believe that the med affected me they say you are depressed but I was not like that at least I had emotions..I just cannot recognise how the antidep worked in just three days and are all like that?  And what can I do and that means these are side effects or withdrawal and it affected my brain? I just wanna know what happened and what does that mean??

Hi ArielS- Welcome to SA. I'm so glad your found us, but so sorry that you had to look for us. That is quite a story, but sadly not uncommon. We have many members here who have only taken the drugs for a few days and had bad reactions to them, so you are not alone.

What you are describing is referred to as an Adverse Reaction. Your body doesn't like the presence of the drug and is fighting it. All the things you are feeling are symptoms caused by that fight. The good news is that it will clear up and you will be well again. the bad news is that it may take some time for that to happen. It is impossible to predict just how long a person will take to recover, some do it in weeks while others can take months, but they do recover.

Here is an article I wrote that gives more details about what is happening to you.  https://www.survivingantidepressants.org/topic/23081-are-we-there-yet-how-long-is-withdrawal-going-to-take/?tab=comments#comment-492494

We have a lot of resources and information here for helping you get through this painful time. If you have questions just ask here on your intro thread. I won't overload you with things right now, but rather we can talk things through and get a better feel for what is going on.

20 years on Paxil starting at 20mg and working up to 40mg. Sept 2011 started 10% every 6 weeks taper (2.5% every week for 4 weeks then hold for 2 additional weeks), currently at 7.9mg. Oct 2011 CTed 15oz vodka a night, to only drinking 2 beers most nights, totally sober Feb 2013.

Since I wrote this I have continued to decrease my dose by 10% every 6 weeks (2.5% every week for 4 weeks and then hold for an additional 2 weeks). I added in an extra 6 week hold when I hit 10mg to let things settle out even more. When I hit 3mgpw it became hard to split the drop into 4 parts so I switched to dropping 1mgpw (pill weight) every week for 3 weeks and then holding for another 3 weeks.  The 3 + 3 schedule turned out to be too harsh so I cut back to dropping 1mgpw every 4 weeks which is working better.

Final Dose 0.016mg.     Current dose 0.000mg 04-15-2017

Welcome, @arielS

I understand you took 3 doses of 10mg escitalopram and 5mg buspirone and had an adverse reaction. Some people cannot tolerate these drugs and react badly within a few doses. See Adverse reactions to an antidepressant within a few doses -- how long for recovery?

The symptoms resulting from this adverse reaction should very gradually go away over months, if you don't take any other drugs that aggravate them.

It would be very unusual for such a reaction to cause uterine bleeding. With your other symptoms, it appears you may have a medical condition, perhaps an endocrinological, gastrointestinal, or gynecological problem, not a psychological problem due to stress. I urge you to seek advice from medical specialists about this, not psychiatrists.

This is a site for tapering psychiatric drugs. How may we help you?

hello @arielS

I'm sorry you're in distress.  Alto has recommended:

I want to stress, we recommend that you do not take any psycho-drugs at this time.  Your nervous system needs to stabilize and recover.

We don't suggest many supplements, but 3 that many of us find helpful are magnesium, omega-3 fish oil, and melatonin. Here are the links for info about those. It is suggested to add one at a time, and start with a low dose to see how it affects you.

Magnesium

Omega 3 Fish Oil

Melatonin

Please keep up informed as to how you are doing.

I can't say my opinion? The only truth is that people recover? Apparently not.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that it's your English.  You didn't say that some people may not fully recover -- that is debatable but I can understand someone who says that.  You said, in essence, that NOONE recovers.  That is flat out nonsense which is contradicted by many success stories on this site and elsewhere.  If it somehow satisfies some need for you to vent that view, feel free to do so somewhere other than here where people are trying to heal and can react adversely to your completely unfounded "opinion".

Sertraline 50mg and Clonazapam .375mg from 2000 -- symptoms of dizziness Spring 2012

increased to .5 Clonazapam and 100mg Sertraline -- no improvement

Benzo microtaper from November 2012 to November 2014 (followed benzo sites "taper benzo first")

Started Sertraline taper in December 2014 cut by 25mg to 75mg; 62.5mg 1/1/15 and 50mg on 2/1/15

Held at 50mg through April 5 to use liquid
Reduced dosage in 10% or less drops from 50mg to 25mg -- at single tablet of 25mg on 10/5/15

Transitioned to all liquid for accuracy while tapering -- Horrible insomnia -- back to 25mg liquid and held until October 1, 2016

10/16 -- 11/18 tapered very slowly to 10.6mg.  No real improvement and never really stable so updosed to 12.5mg (1/2 a pill) for convenience and long hold.

After 8+ months of holding with no noticeable improvement decided to add .4ml of liquid Prozac (about 1.5mg) to see if that improves the situation

Hey there fellow Egyptian. It's from the meds. Please don't take anything else those doctors give you! They have no idea how harmful those medications are. They are told by the pharmaceutical firms that these pills are safe while they are not. You are going through withdrawal. Luckily you didn't take it for long so hopefully you will recover fast. It just takes time. I took cipralex too but I stayed on it for ages so I'm suffering now. Your case is simpler. In Shaa Allah you get better soon. Eat healthy, relax, drink lots of waters, avoid antibiotics and medicines if you can. And be patient. You will heal. Reach out if you need anything. All the best!

Summer 2016 - summer 2018: put on Lexapro, going from 5 mg up to 20 mg over the span of the 2 years (had visited shrink for help with obsessive thinking, was not diagnosed with anything in particular, just prescribed Lexapro 15 mins into first session)

Summer 2018: tapered down by 2.5 mg every few weeks

Protracted withdrawal ever since. 0-14 months began with a massive panic attack that landed me in ER, followed by prolonged anxiety, mental fog and a skin rash on my back. Was regularly consuming alcohol as did not know I was in WD. From then onwards, hit with worse myriad symptoms. Currently at 22 months and have electromagnetic sensitivity, brain zaps, brain fog, memory problems (especially name recall), twitch in right eyebrow, daily waking up at 3 or 4 a.m. with fast heartbeats and "sticky" negative memories, suicidal thoughts, rage episodes, temperature dysregulation, physical numbness & weakness, libido loss.

This process makes us very sensitive to any kind of substance, be it drugs, foods, supplements, so if You want to try anything You have to take a very little dose to test the waters, like 1/10 of recommended dose to not risk making things worse

Duloxetine 2016/17 - 30/60mg/30mg, c/t, light WD.

Sertraline June 2019 50mg ADR

Clorazepate June 2019 20-15-10mg for 3 weeks then sparsely until 2022, 2 times per month max and very low dose (5mg)

Clorazepate Jan2022 10mg 5 days 2,5mg 2 days then off

Venlafaxine June 2019 75mg ADR, 17,5mg, titrated to 37,5mg

Venlafaxine Jan 2022 Covid, hard ADR on 37,5mg, reduced to 20mg ADR, tried ct, crash,

Venlafaxine 22Jan22 reinstated 9,4mg, too low/ 01Feb22- 12mg/ 12Feb- 11,25mg/ 16Feb- 11mg/ 20Feb- 10,8mg/ 24Feb22-10,575mg/ 16Mar22- 10,46mg/ 26Mar22- 10,35mg

Hello,  anyone knows about the analysis of serotonin in urine?  My dad wants me to do it, as he sees I have severe diarrhea,  but why they say serotonin is good for brain (lying)  , and then say if serotonin is too much in your urine or blood then it is not good.. Any idea?  Anyone did it?

Egyptians, I thank you, O Lord You will pass, God willing, group, our Lord will not leave us alone ❤️ I'm suspended from 3/21/2021 I'm still not afraid, but oh Lord, we are all afraid soon Frankly, I have a lot of time to sit and cry and ask God for me? Why do I suffer all this, and why does anyone suffer all this because of a pill and other times I feel angry that I do not deserve this to happen to me.. I don’t know how I came back this year, but for sure, the kindness of our Lord is to allow us to endure, try and continue ❤️

@arielS what i know is that serotonin levels cant be tested .. and from what i have read here and other sites i think WD symptoms is more related to serotonin receptors ( that are downregulated by the effect of drugs) @arielS @SolarPlexus what are the symtoms u are suffering from and do you have windows/waves pattern .. can u function as iam totally disabled cant think memorize and have persistent physical pain ?

have u tried any supplements i am taking omega 3 and magnesium oxide

Hello my love. 💙💙 The group was afraid of Facebook, called the dangers of antidepressants, let me see you there I've been working for ten months now, and I guess my symptoms are increasing, not decreasing..but this is the most difficult thing that anyone can go through seriously.

بعمل search بس مش لقيااه

بس بصى الافضل لو عايوة تعملى توعية انك تنشرى بوست على جروبات عليها ناس كتير و لو مش عايزة اسمك يبان اعمليه anonymous

I do a search but I can't find it But I think it's best if you want to raise awareness that you publish a post on groups that have many people on it, and if you don't want your name, it should be anonymous.
